Westerns GFC is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club that was founded in 1951 and fields gaelic football teams in competitions organised by Louth GAA. The club is based in the parish of Reaghstown, close to the town of Ardee and the Louth/Monaghan border. Westerns have reached the final of the Louth Junior Football Championship four times, in each case being unsuccessful in winning the Christy Bellew Cup.As of 2023, the club competes in the Junior Championship and Division 3B of the county football Leagues. Anthony Durnin is the manager of the senior team.

Killanny Geraldines are a Gaelic Athletic Association gaelic football team from Killanny parish, County Monaghan, Ireland. The club was founded in 1889. They have never won the Monaghan Senior Football Championship to date but have been runners-up on 3 occasions. Killanny have a senior team and Minor, U-16, U-14, U-13, U-12, U-10 and U-9 teams. These are very promising juvenile teams. The senior squad are currently in the Senior Football League in Monaghan. The minor team have recently reached the club's first Division 1 championship final since 1976 and successfully brought Fergal O'Hanlon to Killanny.

Founded in 1959, the club's colours are white and red (white jersey with red hoop). It is based in the village of Louth, where Saint Mochta is said to have founded a monastery in the 6th century. Both the club and the football ground, which has been a frequent venue for county finals, are named in his honour. In 2021 the club reached the final of the Louth Senior Football Championship for the first time. Their side, which included former AFL player and Louth county footballer Ciarán Byrne, lost by eleven points to defending champions Naomh Máirtín at Ardee's Páirc Mhuire.As of 2023 John Moylan is manager of the senior team.In August 2023 St Mochta's won their first ever Senior trophy, the Cardinal O'Donnell Cup, by beating Naomh Máirtín in the Louth Senior Football League Final.
