Ankara University

The Ankara Nuclear Research and Training Center (Turkish: Ankara Nükleer Araştırma ve Eğitim Merkezi), known as ANAEM, is a nuclear research and training center of Turkey. The organization was established on August 18, 2010 as a subunit of Turkish Atomic Energy Administration (Turkish: Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu, TAEK) in its campus at Ankara University's Faculty of Science situated in Beşevler neighborhood in central Ankara. The organization consists of three divisions, which are engaged in education, training and public relations on nuclear matters.

Mebusevleri is a neighbourhood in Ankara, Turkey, located in Çankaya district of central Ankara. Mebusevleri, which means "Houses of Parliamentarians", is bordered by Anıttepe, Tandoğan and Beşevler neighbourhoods. In addition to these neighbourhoods it is bordered by the Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Atatürk.

MEB Şura Salonu also known as Festival Hall is a concert hall in Ankara. It is noted for its tango performances.

Ayten Sokak (English: Ayten Street) is a notable and historical street in Mebusevleri (MP Houses) neighbourhood of Çankaya district in Ankara, Turkey. The street was the base of the parliament members from the Republican People's Party (CHP) and its leader and former President İsmet İnönü, who regularly visited the street for personal and official activities. Ayten Sokak is about 5 minutes from the city centre (Kizilay).

Freedom Research Association (Turkish: Özgürlük Araştırmaları Derneği) is an Ankara-based public policy research organization (think-tank) with a mission to promote evidence-based policy-making and to help consolidate liberal institutions in Turkey. Founded in 2014, the think tank brings together distinguished political scientists, legal scholars, journalists and business people to publish original research and make an impact on public policy. FRA produces policy papers, reports and commentaries on various public policy issues including freedom of press, freedom of association and assembly, healthcare, regulations, structural reforms, checks and balance mechanisms, democratization, public alcohol policy, tax awareness, climate change. Besides, FRA acts as a watchdog organization strongly defending individual liberties, the rule of law and free market in Turkey. FRA operates as a roof organization for its three centers: 1. Center for Democracy and Rule of Law 2. Center for Economic Liberties 3. Center for Civil Liberties Centers conduct extensive research on any public policy subject related to their field from an empirical and analytical point of view, publish reports and host public events. FRA's "Online FreedomTalks" gathers academics, bureaucrats, experts and students to discuss political and economic developments. The Rule of Law Academy is a flagship project that reaches hundred of young legal practitioners every year. Also Structural Reforms in Turkey and Turkish Public Alcohol Policy Watch are among the newest projects of FRA.

Gazi University (Turkish: Gazi Üniversitesi) is a public university primarily located in Ankara, Turkey. It was established in 1926 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as Gazi Teacher Training Institute. In 1982, it was reorganized by merging with the Bolu Academy of Engineering and Architecture, Ankara Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences, the Ankara College of Technical Careers, the Ankara Girls' College of Technical Careers, and the Ankara State Academy of Engineering and Architecture to become a large metropolitan university as part of the act which created the Board of Higher Education. Prior to 1982 when the Board of Higher Education Law came into effect, institutes of higher education in Turkey were organized under different structures as universities, academies, institutes, and schools. In 1992 faculties and vocational schools in Bolu became Abant Izzet Baysal University. Gazi University comprises 21 faculties, 4 schools, 11 vocational schools of higher education, 52 research centers and 7 graduate institutes. The student enrollment of Gazi University has reached approximately 77,000 in total of whom about 1,500 come from the Turkic states of Central Asia. Five thousand students are enrolled in graduate programmes. The total size of the teaching faculty exceeds 3,000 persons.

Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü (literally: Gazi Institute for Education) was a teacher's college in Ankara, Turkey. Established in 1927, it was incorporated in the Gazi University as the Gazi Faculty of Education in 1982.

The Bahçelievler massacre is the name given to the events of October 9, 1978 in Bahçelievler, Ankara, Turkey, when seven university students, members of the Workers' Party of Turkey, were assassinated by ultra-nationalists including Grey Wolves' leader Abdullah Çatlı, and Haluk Kırcı. The assailants, who were armed with a number of weapons, were reportedly surprised to find the "revolutionary" students unarmed in their apartment. Five of the students were killed in the apartment, and two were taken away by car and killed nearby.

Bahçelievler is a neighborhood in Çankaya District of Ankara, Turkey. The name means 'houses with gardens' in Turkish. The neighborhood was known in the 1970s as a battleground for the right and left wing political factions. In particular, it is the place of the Bahçelievler massacre of 8 October 1978, when 7 students, members of the Workers' Party of Turkey, were killed by neo-fascists, see "Multi-party period of the Republic of Turkey".

Başkent Volleyball Hall, (Turkish: Başkent Voleybol Salonu) is an indoor volleyball venue within the TVF Sports Complex located at Beşevler neighborhood of Yenimahalle district in Ankara, Turkey. Opened in 2010, the venue has a seating capacity of 7,600 spectators.

The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (Turkish: Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu or TÜRKPATENT) (TURKPATENT) is an intellectual property organization with a special budget being attached to the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. Established on June 24, 1994, in Ankara as an independent legal entity, it is liable under special judiciary provisions with the objective of supporting the technological development in Turkey and of establishing and protecting of industrial property rights, as well as providing the public with the worldwide information on industrial property rights. In October 2016, the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office has been appointed as International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). As of October 2016, the appointment was not effective yet.

Ankara Tren Garı ("Ankara Train Station"), alternatively known as Ankara YHT railway station (Turkish: Ankara Yüksek Hızlı Tren Garı) and abbreviated as ATG, is a mixed-use commercial building in Ankara, Turkey. The building houses a shopping mall, a five-star hotel and commercial offices, as well as a concourse for YHT high-speed trains. Situated next to the Ankara railway station, the ATG terminal was built on the southern half of land used by the Ankara station, on the former site of two platforms serving commuter trains along with storage tracks. The building officially opened on 29 October 2016, on the 93rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, along with Ankara station's high-speed platforms located underneath the structure.The building is owned by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and operated by a private company known as Ankara Tren Gar İşletmesi A.Ş. TCDD Taşımacılık uses the building for its ticket and information booths, waiting area and its VIP/CIP lounge. The building itself is 30 m (98 ft) tall with eight floors.
