Morton Ranch High School is a secondary school in the Katy Independent School District. It opened in 2004, and is located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. It is part of a multi-school complex, including Morton Ranch Elementary that opened in 2008 and Morton Ranch Junior High School that opened in 2003. The school serves many northern sections of Katy I.S.D., and has grades 9 through 12. The mascot is a Maverick.

BISH, which opened in September 2000, offers education for ages 3 to 18 (UK Nursery to Year 13/US Pre-K to Grade 12). The school serves grades 9–12. The academic year consists of two semesters extending from approximately August to December and January to May. Student leadership development through the Works of Mercy program is a distinct characteristic of the school, and leadership principles are integrated into every course at St. John XXIII. 'SJ23' is accredited by/a member of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston (RCAGH), led by Archbishop Daniel DiNardo. SJ23 is also the newest private day school in the Katy area for over fifty years, effective 2004. It is located at 1800 West Grand Parkway North. The principal is Joseph Noonan .

Forbidden Gardens (simplified Chinese: 紫禁花园; traditional Chinese: 紫禁花園 ) was an outdoor museum of Chinese culture and history located on Texas Highway 99 and Franz Road in northern Katy, Greater Houston, Texas, United States. The museum was funded and opened by businessman Ira Poon in 1996. Forbidden Gardens closed its doors in 2011.

James E. Taylor High School is a public high school in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, in the Greater Katy area. The campus is located within the Nottingham Country subdivision, but is not within the Katy city limits. The school serves grades 9 through 12, and is part of Katy Independent School District.

Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is a hospital in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, near Katy and in Greater Houston. It is a part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. Pediatric care to the hospital is provided by doctors from Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital which treats infants, children, teens, and young adults age 0-21.

Faith West Academy is a non-denominational, coeducational, private Christian school with grades preschool-12 with boarding facilities, located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, near Katy. The school first began in 1982.With 623 students and an annual budget of over $6 million, it was, circa 2001, one of the ten largest private schools in the greater Houston, Katy area.Alumni include Ted Cruz, the junior United States senator from Texas, who attended but did not graduate from the school.

Memorial Parkway is a neighborhood in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States, east of the city of Katy. Memorial Parkway was built in the 1970s, and the 1980s. The neighborhood is operated by the Memorial Parkway Homeowners Association (MPHOA). It is one of the oldest subdivisions on the Mason Road corridor. It is flanked on the west by the expanding commercial corridor of Mason Road, and on the East by the residential parkway of Westgreen Boulevard.

Patricia E. Paetow High School (PHS) is a senior high school in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, in Greater Katy. It is a part of the Katy Independent School District. The school opened in August 2017 to 9th and 10th grade students, relieving Katy High School and Morton Ranch High School. The more than 635,000-square-foot (59,000 m2) building, with a capacity of 3,000, has three stories. On December 17, 2020, Paetow’s football team had their season cut short due to Covid-19 Outbreak. On December 17, 2021, Paetow won the UIL Football Conference 5A Division 1 State Championship.
