San Dimas Dam is a concrete gravity dam in Los Angeles County, California. The dam and its flood control basin/reservoir are in the San Gabriel Mountains and within the Angeles National Forest. The dam is currently operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works but was originally built by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District in 1922. The dam controls flooding from San Dimas Creek, a major San Gabriel Mountains drainage and tributary of the San Gabriel River. As a flood control facility the San Dimas Reservoir is dry for most of the year, only storing water after significant winter storms. The regulation provided by the dam allows for the efficient diversion of floodwaters from San Dimas Wash to Puddingstone Reservoir, which protects the San Dimas area of the San Gabriel Valley.

Big Dalton Dam is a multiple arch concrete dam in Los Angeles County, California, built for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and completed in August 1929. The dam is one of the earliest of the multiple arch "double-wall" buttress designs of engineer Fred A. Noetzli. The 991 acre-foot (1.2 million cubic meter) dam provides water conservation and controls flooding from Big Dalton Canyon, a watershed within the San Dimas Experimental Forest, part of the Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel Mountains. It is about 4 miles northeast of the city of Glendora and is operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.

Damien High School is an all-boys Roman Catholic high school in La Verne, in the U.S. state of California, named for Saint Damien of Molokai. It is located in and operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, part of the tri-school community including St. Lucy's Priory High School and Pomona Catholic High School.

Lutheran High School La Verne (also known as Faith Lutheran), was a private, college preparatory Lutheran High School in La Verne, California. Affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS), the school served students from the San Gabriel, Pomona, and Inland valleys. Built on a foundation of faith in Christ, the school provided college preparatory curriculum to a co-educational student population in grades nine through twelve. The school colors were red, white and blue and the mascot was the Trojans. One special feature of the program at Lutheran High School was its Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program, which enrolled over 20% of the student population annually. It was one of only five NJROTC units in the United States that are available in a private school. Because of the achievements of the NJROTC Unit at Lutheran High School, the U.S. Navy rated LHS as an honor distinguished unit. NJROTC Scholarships were available for college-bound students. Enrollment at the school started to decline in 2000, and by 2023, the school was facing foreclosure. In 2020, the Pacific Southwest District of the LCMS gave financial support and worked with consultants from NextEd to determine the school's future viability. The results of that study led the school's board to announce the closure of the school after the 2022–23 school year.

The San Dimas Hotel, also known as Walker House, the Carruthers Home, and the San Dimas Mansion, is a historic structure in San Dimas, California, built by the San Jose Ranch Company in 1887. Originally built as a hotel, the 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m2) structure had 33 rooms and 14 fireplaces. The hotel was built in anticipation of a land boom that never happened, and it never had a paying guest. In 1889, the property was sold to James W. and Sue Walker for $25,000. After being occupied by seven generations of Walkers, the property was turned into a restaurant in 1979. The building became vacant in 1997 and was later acquired and renovated by the City of San Dimas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Bonita High School is a high school located in the city of La Verne, California in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Opened in 1903, it was the first high school in the Bonita Unified School District. It moved to its current campus in 1959. The majority of its students come from Ramona Middle School, which is also located in La Verne. The Bearcat athletic teams compete in the Palomares League of the CIF Southern Section.

San Dimas station is an under construction light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. The station is located on San Dimas Avenue near its intersection with Bonita Avenue along the Pasadena Subdivision right-of-way in San Dimas, California. It will be served by the A Line. It is currently under construction as part of the Foothill Extension Project and is slated to open in summer 2025.The former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway San Dimas Depot is located about 1⁄5 mile (0.32 km) to the northwest and houses the Pacific Railroad Museum. A city-owned 300-space park and ride facility is located adjacent to the facility at 205 S San Dimas Avenue.

California 26th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California currently represented by Democrat Julia Brownley. The district is located on the South Coast, comprising most of Ventura County as well as a small portion of Los Angeles County. Cities in the district include Camarillo, Oxnard, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Moorpark, and part of Simi Valley. In 2022, the district lost Ojai and most of Ventura and added Calabasas, Agoura Hills, and the sparsely populated northern half of Ventura County.From 2003 to 2013, the district spanned the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley from La Cañada Flintridge to Rancho Cucamonga. David Dreier, a Republican, represented the district during this period.

The University of La Verne (ULV) is a private university in La Verne, California. Founded in 1891, the university is composed of the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business & Public Management, the LaFetra College of Education, College of Law, College of Health and Community Well-Being, an online adult school, two military centers, and a Regional Campus Administration that oversees six regional campuses. It awards undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees. Many of their classes are taught at smaller campuses throughout the greater Los Angeles area and Kern County.

San Dimas (Spanish for "Saint Dismas") is a city in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California, United States. At the 2020 census, its population was 34,924. It historically took its name from San Dimas Canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains above the northern section of present-day San Dimas. San Dimas is bordered by the San Gabriel Mountains range to the north, Glendora and Covina to the west, La Verne to its north and east side, Pomona to its south and east side, Walnut and the unincorporated community of Ramona to the southwest, and the unincorporated community of West San Dimas, which is an enclave in the southwestern portion of the city.
