Philadelphia Charter School for Arts and Sciences at H.R. Edmunds is a charter school located in the Northwood neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located in the former Henry R. Edmunds School building. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1923–1924. It is a three-story, nine-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Colonial Revival style. It features a projecting entrance pavilion, stone cornice, and brick parapet.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Frankford High School is a public high school in the School District of Philadelphia. It is located at Oxford Avenue and Wakeling Street in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Frankford was founded in 1910 as an annex to Central High School. For the school's colors, blue was added to the red and gold of Central. Frankford's slogan is "Home of Champions," a nod to its longstanding tradition of fielding strong sports teams. The school's athletic teams are nicknamed the Pioneers. In the fall of 2018, Frankford High School became Frankford High School Aviation Academy, launching a unique program to provide a career path for the graduates of the program. Beginning with the class of 2022, students have the opportunity to enroll in the Aviation Program. After their completion, they can earn their private pilot license and by the time they are 21 be eligible for their commercial pilot license. The program will also include multiple tracks of study including drone-piloting and airplane mechanic/maintenance.Frankford's soccer team won ten straight Public League Championships (1987–1996), four of which by shutout. Frankford's wrestling team won 11 straight Public League Championships ending in 2007. On May 19, 2010, Principal Reginald Fisher was cited in a report appearing in the Philadelphia newspapers that he was one of 15 administrators not certified to run their schools. Whether this issue has been resolved has not been reported as of present.

Jefferson Frankford Hospital is a non-profit hospital located in Philadelphia and is a part of Jefferson Health Northeast, a multi-state non-profit health system now a part of Jefferson Health. The hospital serve as a general hospital of Aria-Jefferson Health and has a Level II trauma center. It is the oldest hospital in the Jefferson Health Northeast system. It is also a clinical affiliate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and provides clinical clerkship education to the medical schools' osteopathic medical students.

Oxford Township is a now-defunct township in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. The township ceased to exist and was incorporated into the City of Philadelphia following the passage of the Act of Consolidation, 1854.

Arrott Transportation Center is an elevated rapid transit station and bus station serving SEPTA's Market–Frankford Line and City Bus routes. It is located at the intersection of Frankford Avenue, Oxford Avenue, Arrott Street, Paul Street, and Margaret Street in the Frankford neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The terminal was originally known by two separate names, Margaret–Orthodox station for the Market–Frankford Line and Arrott Bus Terminal for bus routes. SEPTA bus and trackless trolley service include routes 3, 5 (Front St./Market St.-Frankford T.C.), 59 (Arrott T.C.-Castor Ave./Bustleton Ave.), 75 Arrott T.C.-Wayne Junction, 89 (Front St./Dauphin St.), J (Wissahickon Ave./Chelten Ave-Bridesburg), and K East Falls-Arrott T.C.

The Historical Society of Frankford is a historical society and museum is a 501(c)3 corporation located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located in the Frankford neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia. It was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Federation of Historical Societies. The society was organized in 1905, and chartered in 1920, for the purpose of promoting historical study, especially the social history and traditions of Frankford and vicinity. Purchases are made with the general society fund; outright gifts only are acceptable. The society is housed in a two-and one-half story, fireproof, stone, brick, and steel building, constructed in 1930. Space of manuscripts is adequate.

Frankford Friends School (also known as FFS) is an independent, coeducational Quaker day school for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eight. It is located at 1500 Orthodox Street in the historic Frankford section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Frankford Transportation Center (also known as Frankford Terminal and Bridge-Pratt station) is a transportation terminal in Frankford, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was once known as the Bridge Street terminal before a complete reconstruction in 2003. Frankford Transportation Center is the last stop for the Market-Frankford Line trains before heading westbound for 69th Street Transportation Center.

John Marshall Elementary School is a historic elementary school located in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Henry deCourcy Richards and built in 1909–1910. It is a three-story, five-bay by three-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Colonial Revival style. It has a three-story, rear brick addition built in 1922. It features a pedimented cornice, brick parapet, projecting central section, and a two-story arched opening above the main entrance. The school was named for Chief Justice John Marshall. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Frankford is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Philadelphia situated about six miles (10 km) northeast of Center City. Although its borders are vaguely defined, the neighborhood is bounded roughly by the original course of Frankford Creek on the south to Castor Avenue on the southwest, to Cheltenham Avenue on the north to Torresdale Avenue on the east. Adjacent neighborhoods are Bridesburg, Kensington, Juniata, Oxford Circle, Summerdale, and Wissinoming. Historically, Frankford had an unofficial division separating Frankford (proper) from East Frankford encompassing the area east of Frankford Avenue. The division divided the community first along racial lines, with African Americans on the east of Frankford Avenue and Caucasians to the west. As the community has become less homogeneous, the division is more of a vestige of the past. In 2005, the 19124 ZIP code, which roughly contains Frankford and Juniata, had a median home sale price of $81,075, an increase of 22% over 2004.

Roosevelt Boulevard, officially named the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Boulevard and often referred to, chiefly by local Philadelphians, simply as "the Boulevard," or "the Boully" is a major traffic artery through North and Northeast Philadelphia. The road begins at the Schuylkill Expressway in Fairmount Park, running as a freeway also known as the Roosevelt Boulevard Extension or the Roosevelt Expressway through North Philadelphia, then transitioning into a twelve-lane divided highway that forms the spine of Northeast Philadelphia to its end at the city line. Historically, Roosevelt Boulevard is a part of the Lincoln Highway, the first road across America, which ran for 3,389 miles (5,454 km) from Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park on the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco, California. Today, Roosevelt Boulevard is designated as US 1 (north of the Roosevelt Expressway), US 13 (between Hunting Park Avenue and Robbins Street), and Pennsylvania Route 63 (between Red Lion and Woodhaven Roads).The road is notorious for two intersections which have been designated the second and third most dangerous intersections in the country by State Farm Insurance, at Red Lion Road and Grant Avenue respectively. The dangerous reputation of the road led to installation of the first red light cameras in Philadelphia in 2004. The road has been the scene of numerous pedestrian casualties and studies are underway to allow pedestrian traffic to be separated from vehicular traffic.
