Osgoode Ward (Ward 20) is a municipal ward located in the rural southeast corner of the City of Ottawa. It mostly consists of the former Osgoode Township and parts of the former city of Gloucester. It is represented on Ottawa City Council by George Darouze. The ward contains the communities of Greely, Osgoode, Metcalfe, Edwards, Kenmore, Vernon, South Gloucester, Ficko, Limebank and Johnston Corners. The ward was created for the 2000 municipal elections in preparation for Osgoode Township's amalgamation into the city of Ottawa. Prior to that, Osgoode Township was located in Cumberland-Osgoode Ward on the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton regional council. From 2000 to 2006, the ward consisted solely of the former Township of Osgoode. Beginning with the 2006 election, the boundaries changed to add much of rural southern Gloucester to the ward.

Greely is a suburban-rural community in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located south of the city in Osgoode Ward, it was part of the Township of Osgoode prior to amalgamation in 2001. Greely is currently the largest rural village in terms of land area and the third largest in terms of population in the City of Ottawa. According to the Greely Community Association, it is bounded on the east by Sale Barn Road and Greyscreek Road, on the north by Mitch Owens on the west by Manotick Station Road, and on the south by Snake Island Road. According to the Canada 2011 Census, the population within these boundaries was 9,049.It falls within the borders of federal parliamentary riding of Carleton. Provincially, it falls within the riding of Carleton, which shares the same boundaries of its federal counterpart, and is represented on City Council by George Darouze, being in Osgoode Ward. Greely is home to a set of tight-knit and unique communities throughout the village. Most homes sit on 1⁄2-acre to 2-acre (8,100 m2) lots. Some developers offer condominium-like amenities such as pools, tennis courts, man-made lakes, beaches, and small neighbourhood community centres within their residential communities. The Greely Community Centre hosts meetings and activities for the entire rural town. Every year, they organize a Winter Carnival and a renowned Canada Day celebration. Between 2000 and 2008, Greely has seen a 58.7% increase in the number of dwellings. Greely's increasingly rapid growth can be attributed to its rural atmosphere and easy access to Ottawa's urban centre. Furthermore, Greely presently has several large areas of undeveloped land within its boundaries. Greely's boundaries currently contain enough land for approximately twenty-two years of residential growth based on current development patterns. Greely has a strong commercial district housing many small and medium manufacturing and services companies. It has a few businesses to provide the community with essentials, including 2 gas stations, 3 pizzerias, an A & W and a couple of restaurants. A new commercial development at Parkway Road and Bank Street houses a 24-hour grocery store with liquor/beer store, a dollar store and more businesses under development.

Osgoode Township is a former township that is now a part of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The township along the Rideau River was established in 1798 and incorporated in 1850. It was an independent township in Carleton County until its amalgamation with the city in 2001. It remains a largely rural area with only some 23,285 inhabitants as of the 2016 census. As of the Canada 2021 Census, this had increased to 24,199. On Ottawa city council it is represented by George Darouze.Several branches of the Castor River, a tributary of the South Nation River, flow through the township. The township took its name from William Osgoode, the first Chief Justice of Upper Canada.

Dalmeny is a dispersed rural community located near the source of the South Castor River in the Osgoode Ward of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The population of the surrounding area is about 225. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, Dalmeny was in Osgoode Township.

Mix FM was an unlicensed radio station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The station broadcast as a pirate radio station on several frequencies, most notably on 91.9 FM. The station was "forced off the air" soon after midnight on December 14, 2009, however, the station later signed back on the air 10 days later. The broadcast of Mix FM was forcibly shut down by Industry Canada on January 15, 2010, although the station continues to operate a podcast stream online. The operator of the station was subsequently found guilty of violating the Radiocommunication Act.

Osgoode (also known as Osgoode Village) is a population centre in Osgoode Ward in the rural south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located just 2 km east of the Rideau River. Until amalgamation in 2001, it was located in Osgoode Township. According to the Canada 2016 Census Osgoode had a population of 2,578.

Carleton is a provincial riding in Ontario, Canada. It was created in 1867 at the time of confederation and lasted until provincial redistribution in 1996. In the 1999 provincial election it was redistributed into Nepean—Carleton and Lanark—Carleton. In 2007 it was abolished into Carleton—Mississippi Mills and Lanark—Frontenac—Lennox and Addington. In 2018 it was re-created as the riding of Carleton from parts of Nepean—Carleton, Carleton—Mississippi Mills and Ottawa South.

Carleton is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1867 to 1968 and since 2015. It was represented in the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada from 1821 to 1840 and in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada from 1841 until 1866. It has been represented by Pierre Poilievre the current Leader of the Opposition since it's creation in 2015. The original riding was created by the British North America Act of 1867. However, the riding had existed since 1821 in the Parliament of Upper Canada and the Parliament of the Province of Canada. It originally consisted of Carleton County. In 1966, it was redistributed into the new electoral districts of Grenville—Carleton, Lanark and Renfrew, Ottawa Centre, Ottawa West and Ottawa—Carleton. This riding was re-created by the 2012 electoral redistribution from parts of Nepean—Carleton (59%), Carleton—Mississippi Mills (41%) and a small portion of Ottawa South. It was contested in the 2015 federal election.

Rideau Carleton Raceway is a Canadian horse racing and gambling complex located at 4837 Albion Road in Ottawa, Ontario. The facility began operation in 1962 and specialises in Standardbred harness racing. In 2000, the venue introduced slot machines, under the authority of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) which were expected to draw annual revenue of $130 million. The site includes a restaurant and hosts musical performances.Rideau Carleton is also the site of the Gloucester Fair (now the Capital Fair) since 1998. The raceway provides facilities for numerous charitable fundraisers and hosts annual events for several embassies.The operations at the Raceway are currently run by Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos, which bought the facility in September 2017. Hard Rock holds 51% of the stock.

Opened in 1980, St. Mark Catholic High School is located in Manotick, a neighbourhood in the city of Ottawa. Its enrollment is currently around 1100 after losing about 600 students to St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School in 2009 & 2010, after the completion of its construction in 2009. St. Francis Xavier is located just down Limebank Road, less than 10 minutes from St. Mark.

Ficko is a dispersed rural community in Osgoode Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Gloucester, which was amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001. The community is located on Bowesville Road halfway between Earl Armstrong Road and Rideau Road, and includes Ficko Crescent. The Osgoode Link Pathway (which is the decommissioned railbed of the Canadian Pacific Railway) passes to its East. It is named for Herman Frederick Ficko, who purchased 12.5 acres of land on 20 October 1958 for the development of the subdivision.

Metcalfe is a population centre located in Osgoode Ward, in the rural south-end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, the community was in Osgoode Township. According to the Canada 2016 Census, it has a population of 1,776.
