Nepean—Carleton was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada that was represented in the House of Commons from 1979 to 1988, and again from 1997 to 2015. It included the southern portion of the former city of Nepean and adjacent suburban and rural areas of west and southern Ottawa.

Limebank is an under construction terminal station on the Trillium Line in Ottawa, Ontario. When constructed, it will be the southern terminus of the Stage 2 O-Train expansion and is scheduled for completion in 2023. The station will be elevated with two side platforms and is located southwest of the intersection of Limebank and Earl Armstrong roads. OC Transpo Rapid bus routes 74 and 99 will connect to this station once revenue service begins in late 2023.This station will serve the Riverside South community within an expansive area zoned for commercial and retail purposes. As with the Bayview terminus station, it will feature a public washroom. When the Line 2 expansion becomes operational, OC Transpo Route 73 and OC Transpo Route 74 will be extended east from Nepean Woods station and Leikin station along Strandherd and Earl Armstrong, with a stop at Riverview station, before ending at Limebank station. OC Transpo Route 99 will also be extended (albeit temporarily) to connect at Limebank station, with busses in either direction travelling south on Limebank Road to connect with the station, before reversing course and resuming their current routes for the revenue service of the Trillium. As of May 2023, under the City of Ottawa's Transportation Master Plan (TMP), the undeveloped-yet-protected transit corridor linking Limebank station with Riverview station and the park-and-ride to the west is slated to be used for a bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor. Despite this, there were growing local calls to zone this corridor for a future Line 2 LRT extension in the next version TMP, which was due to be published in late 2023 or early 2024.

Watson's Mill is an historic flour and gristmill in Manotick, Ontario, Canada. It is the only working museum in the Ottawa area and one of the very few operating industrial grist mills in North America. Watson's Mill still sells stone-ground whole wheat flour which is made on site. The mill is also well known for its ghost Annabelle. The legend is that Ann Currier, wife of Joseph, haunts the mill, following her death in a tragic accident there in 1861. Watson's Mill is Manotick's most recognized landmark. Its image is used as a symbol for the village. Moss Kent Dickinson and Joseph Merrill Currier founded the mill as the Long Island Milling Enterprise in 1860. It was one of a series of mills constructed in the area using power from the Rideau Canal. It earned its current name when it was purchased by Harry Watson in 1946. Watson was the last owner to operate the mill at an industrial level. When the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority bought the mill in 1972, it was developed into a museum. The mill is open to the public during the summer months and hosts a variety of events, including milling demonstrations every Sunday.

Manotick ( MAN-ə-tik) is a community in Rideau-Jock Ward in the rural south part of the City of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is a suburb of the city, located on the Rideau River, immediately south of the suburbs Barrhaven and Riverside South, about 25 km (16 mi) from downtown Ottawa. It was founded by Moss Kent Dickinson in 1864. He named the village 'Manotick', after the Algonquin word for 'island'. It has been part of the City of Ottawa since amalgamation in 2001. Prior to that, it was located in Rideau Township. According to the Canada 2016 Census, Manotick had a population of 4,486.

Ficko is a dispersed rural community in Osgoode Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Gloucester, which was amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001. The community is located on Bowesville Road halfway between Earl Armstrong Road and Rideau Road, and includes Ficko Crescent. The Osgoode Link Pathway (which is the decommissioned railbed of the Canadian Pacific Railway) passes to its East. It is named for Herman Frederick Ficko, who purchased 12.5 acres of land on 20 October 1958 for the development of the subdivision.

Riverside South-Findlay Creek Ward or Ward 22 is a city ward located in Ottawa, Ontario. Situated in the south end of the city, the ward includes the communities of Riverside South and Findlay Creek in the former city of Gloucester.

Osgoode Ward (Ward 20) is a municipal ward located in the rural southeast corner of the City of Ottawa. It mostly consists of the former Osgoode Township and parts of the former city of Gloucester. It is represented on Ottawa City Council by George Darouze. The ward contains the communities of Greely, Osgoode, Metcalfe, Edwards, Kenmore, Vernon, South Gloucester, Ficko, Limebank and Johnston Corners. The ward was created for the 2000 municipal elections in preparation for Osgoode Township's amalgamation into the city of Ottawa. Prior to that, Osgoode Township was located in Cumberland-Osgoode Ward on the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton regional council. From 2000 to 2006, the ward consisted solely of the former Township of Osgoode. Beginning with the 2006 election, the boundaries changed to add much of rural southern Gloucester to the ward.

St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School, SFX, St. FX is a high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in the Ottawa Catholic School Board. The school serves grades 7-12 and opened in 2009. It is located in Gloucester and mainly serves the communities of Riverside South and Gloucester.

Riverview is an OC Transpo transit station located in the Riverside South community in Ottawa, Ontario. The station is located south of Earl Armstrong Road east of River Road.Riverview was officially designated as a Transitway station in the 2009 system map and was part of an eventual rapid transit corridor that would link with the existing Southeast Transitway that ends at Hunt Club Road and South Keys Shopping Centre. The corridor was intended for a previous light-rail extension towards Riverside South which was cancelled in 2006.The station is located just across from the Vimy Memorial Bridge which was completed in July 2014 and connects Riverside South with Barrhaven across the Rideau River. A rapid transit corridor along Strandherd Drive and Earl Armstrong Road is planned and would eventually connect to the Southwest Transitway near Greenbank Road and Strandherd Drive. Route 74, which previously started and ended at Nepean Woods station, was extended to/from Riverview station via the Vimy Memorial Bridge until it reverted to previous routing in June of 2021; route 99 was also extended to Barrhaven Centre station (and later CitiGate on select trips) from its previous southwest terminus here at Riverview. A park and ride facility with 155 parking spaces is operational at this station. A temporary park and ride area was built in the northwest corridor of River and Earl Armstrong until the completion of the permanent facility.A dedicated rapid transit corridor is currently zoned and protected by the City of Ottawa in its Ultimate Concept Transportation Master Plan which would connect Riverview through residential areas south of Earl Armstrong Road to the Trillium Line terminus at Limebank station. The station is not to be confused with the neighbourhood of Riverview, which is located in another part of the city.

Gloucester Glen is a community on the Rideau River in eastern Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Gloucester in the City of Ottawa. It is between the communities of Cedardale to the north and Honey Gables to the south, and bound by the Rideau River to the west and River Road to the east, adjacent to the new Riverside South subdivision. It is a very quiet community with many older homes. There are approximately only 45 houses that make up this community.
