The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under construction in Springfield, Oregon, a suburn of Eugene.The temple will be the third in Oregon after the Portland Oregon Temple and the Medford Oregon Temple.

Flame, or Springfield Flame, is an outdoor 62-foot (19 m) stainless steel sculpture of a flame by Devin Laurence Field, installed at the intersection of Gateway Street and Randy Papé Beltline, in Springfield, Oregon, United States. The $236,000 installation was paid for by a hotel tax.

It has 820,000 square feet (76,000 m2) of retail space. The mall opened in 1990 and is located next to Interstate 5, which largely divides the cities of Eugene and Springfield. Located at the mall is one Cinemark theater and 58 retail stores.

The Register-Guard is a daily newspaper in the northwestern United States, published in Eugene, Oregon. It was formed in a 1930 merger of two Eugene papers, the Eugene Daily Guard and the Morning Register. The paper serves the Eugene-Springfield area, as well as the Oregon Coast, Umpqua River valley, and surrounding areas. As of 2016, it has a circulation of around 43,000 Monday through Friday, around 47,000 on Saturday, and a little under 50,000 on Sunday.The newspaper has been owned by The Gannett Company since Gannett's 2019 merger with GateHouse Media. Kelly Butte is a hill in west Springfield, Oregon, United States.The butte was named for John Kelly, who came to the Oregon Country in 1843 as an employee of the Hudson's Bay Company. A native of County Wexford, Ireland, he had previously lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From Oregon he returned to the United States, served in the Mexican–American War, and returned to Oregon in 1849 as a wagonmaster with the U.S. Mounted Rifles. He worked as a stock trader between Oregon and California, and eventually took a Donation Land Claim near Roseburg, Oregon. He came to Springfield in 1866, where he became a miller and lumber contractor until 1869. He returned to Roseburg, serving in the land office for the next 8 years. He worked in Portland as a customs collector from 1876 to 1880, and for a time was a commissioner of the Northern Pacific Railway in Montana.

The Robert E. Campbell House is a historic house located in Springfield, Oregon. The architectural style reflects Rural Gothic style and it was built by early pioneer Robert E. Campbell about 1873. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1979.

In the late 1990s, KRVM was known as KDUK (after the University of Oregon's duck mascot) and was an affiliate of Radio AAHS.

KUGN (590 AM) is a commercial radio station, owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to the city of Eugene, Oregon, it serves the Eugene-Springfield media market. The studios and offices are on Executive Parkway. KUGN broadcasts with 5,000 watts, around the clock. By day, the signal is non-directional. But at night, KUGN uses a directional antenna to protect other stations on 590 kHz. The transmitter is off North Game Farm Road.Listeners in the Springfield area can also receive KUGN programming on 98.1 MHz over K251CY, an FM translator.
