Mokra Lewa [ˈmɔkra ˈlɛva] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Skierniewice, within Skierniewice County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Skierniewice and 48 km (30 mi) north-east of the regional capital Łódź.

The Roundhouse in Skierniewice (Polish: Parowozownia Skierniewice) was built in 1845 and used until 1991. Currently the Polish Association of Railway Enthusiasts (PSMK) runs a museum exhibition here.

Its seat is the town of Skierniewice, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 131.67 square kilometres (50.8 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 6,736.

Skierniewice County (Polish: powiat skierniewicki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Skierniewice, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county); there are no towns within the county. The county covers an area of 756.12 square kilometres (291.9 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 37,779.

The town is situated almost exactly halfway between Łódź and Warsaw. Through the town runs the small river Łupia, also called Skierniewka.
