Canyon Meadows station

Fish Creek–Lacombe station is a CTrain light rail station in Shawnee Slopes, Calgary, Alberta which opened October 9, 2001 as part of the South LRT Extension Phase I and was the southern terminus until June 27, 2004. It serves the South Line (Route 201). It is located on the exclusive LRT right of way (adjacent to CPR ROW), 14.2 km south of the City Hall interlocking. The station is west of MacLeod Trail and just to the north of James McKevitt Road. The station has a center-loading platform with barrier-free access at both ends. The North end connects to the heated indoor ticket pavilion and the bus loop. The south end connects to the park-and-ride lot as well as the pedestrian overpass that connects Fish Creek Provincial Park and Midnapore to the LRT station. A large 1130 space park-and-ride lot is located on site. The station platform was originally constructed to 3-car length with room set aside to easily expand to 4-car length when needed in the future. Construction on a Southern extension of the platform started on July 16, 2012, and the new platform extension and relocated track crossing opened on December 15, 2012. In 2005, the station registered an average of 6,200 boardings per weekday.

St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church is a historic Carpenter Gothic style Roman Catholic church building located at 14608 Macleod Trail in the Midnapore neighbourhood in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was built in 1904 by local craftsmen on land donated by Patrick Glenn, son of John Glenn and a member of one of Calgary's pioneer farm families. Its steep pitched roof and lancet windows are typical of Carpenter Gothic churches. St. Patrick's was served by noted missionary priest Fr. Albert Lacombe until his death in 1916. Because of its architecture, its connection with Fr. Lacombe and its significance in the religious development of southern Alberta, it was designated a Provincial Historic Resource on April 10, 2001.The church is set back from the east side of Macleod Trail, and is located north of St. Paul's Anglican Church, a Registered Historic Resource built in 1885. On a hill directly east of the churches stands Lacombe Home, a Provincial Historic Resource built in 1910. St. Patrick's congregation moved to a new building in 1983. The original St. Patrick's church was later used by Midlands United Church, St. Paul's Anglican Church, and All Saints (Lutheran) Church - but was soon vacant and fell into disrepair. In 1997 the Diocese sold the land to Memorial Gardens Association (Alberta) Limited, and the entire property is registered as a cemetery. In late 2010 the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary reacquired the land and in June 2011 permitted the St. John Chrysostom Russian Orthodox Church to begin rehabilitation of the church and use of it as a place of worship.

The Canyon Meadows golf course is developed northwest of the neighbourhood. The community is served by the Canyon Meadows station of the C-Train LRT system. Canyon Meadows was established in 1965. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 13 councillor.

Fish Creek Park is an urban provincial park that preserves the valley of Fish Creek in the southern part of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bordered on three sides by the city, and on the west by the territory of the Tsuu T’ina Nation (Sarcee), a First Nation. Much of the park remains in a natural, forested state. Fish Creek flows throughout its length, joining the Bow River on the east side of the park, and there is an artificial lake that offers swimming. With more than 100 kilometres (62 mi) of paved and unpaved trails, the park is a popular area for hiking and biking, as well as for picnicking, swimming, fishing, and observing wildlife. Fish Creek Park is the second-largest urban park in Canada after Rouge National Urban Park in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and followed by Pippy Park in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is also one of the largest urban parks in North America, stretching 19 km (12 mi) from east to west. With an area of 13.48 km2 (5.20 sq mi), it is more than three times the size of Vancouver's Stanley Park.

Anderson station is a CTrain light rail station in Southwood, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It serves the South Line (Route 201) and it opened on May 25, 1981, as part of the original line until October 8, 2001 as the southern terminus of Route 201. The station is located on the exclusive LRT right of way (adjacent to CPR ROW), 10.6 km south of the City Hall Interlocking. The station is located just north of Anderson Road west of Macleod Trail. The station is located across from Southcentre Mall, through a pedestrian bridge that crosses Macleod Trail. The station consists of a centre-loading platform with Mezzanine access at the South end and grade-level access at the North end. 1323 paved parking spaces are located on-site, as well as a 427 space overflow lot. Construction of the Anderson Station platform that was meant for 3 cars was expanded to accommodate 4 cars starting in June 2013, and was completed in the late fall of 2013.In January 2018, the south entrance to the Mezzanine level was closed as crews removed the entrance in preparation for renovations. On April 2, 2018, the Mezzanine level was closed to perform renovations. The grade-level entrance remained open, as well as the station itself while renovations are underway. Renovations were expected to be completed by October 2018 but due to soil and structural issues arising during construction, the completion date was extended to Spring of 2019 with construction being completed in June 2019. The Anderson Shops and Garage, where the CTrain vehicles are maintained, is located here. CTrains operating on the NE line had to come up from the Anderson Garage every morning from the opening of the NE line in 1985 until the Oliver Bowen Maintenance Facility opened with McKnight–Westwinds Station in 2008. In 2005, the station registered and average transit of 11,300 boardings per weekday.

Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School is a public senior high school located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The school was named after Earle Parkhill Scarlett, a Calgary physician, educator, scholar and writer. The school is run by the Calgary Board of Education. The school graduates around c. 500 Grade 12 students every year, with a 91% graduation rate. Scarlett is located on Elbow Drive and Canterbury Drive, and is one of few high schools servicing the deep south districts. Scarlett has the largest and most established AP program in the city and hosts French Immersion and Spanish bilingual programs.

Millrise is a suburban residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located south of Fish Creek Provincial Park, and is bounded by 146 Avenue S to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, Shawnessy Boulevard to the south and James McKevitt Road to the west. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961 and Millrise was established in 1982. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 13 councillor.The community is served by the Fish Creek-Lacombe station of the C-Train LRT system.

Willow Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the west by Macleod Trail, to the south by Anderson Road, to the north by Southland Drive and to the east by the community of Maple Ridge. The Willow Park golf course bisects the neighbourhood from west to east, while Fairmont Drive crosses from south to north. Southcentre Mall and Willow Park shopping village are located in the southwest corner of the neighbourhood. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 14 councillor.

Midnapore is a community within the City of Calgary in the province of Alberta, Canada. It is bounded to the north and east by Fish Creek Provincial Park, to the south by Sun Valley Boulevard and to the west by Macleod Trail.

Southwood is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 98th Avenue (an alley north of Southland Drive) to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, Anderson Road to the south and 14th Street SW to the west. Southland Drive passes through the northern part of the community. A major roadway, Elbow Drive, bisects the community. The community is served by the Southland and Anderson stations of the C-Train LRT system. Southcentre Mall is located east from the neighbourhood. Southwood was established in 1960. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor.
