Henry Higginson House

The Gropius House is a historic house museum owned by Historic New England at 68 Baker Bridge Road in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. It was the family residence of Modernist architect Walter Gropius, his wife Ise Gropius (née Frank), and their daughter Ati Gropius. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2000 for its association with Walter Gropius, as he was an influential teacher and leader of Modernist architecture. The house includes a collection of Bauhaus-related materials unparalleled outside Germany.

The Woods End Road Historic District is a residential historic district at 68 Baker Bridge Rd., 1, 5, 9, and 10 Woods End Road in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The district consists of five houses, one of which is Colonial Revival in style, and the other four are in International Style. Helen Storrow, a wealthy philanthropist who owned the land, also funded the construction of the houses, which were among the earliest of their style to be built in the United States.All four of the International houses were designed by internationally renowned architects, and three of those served as the architect's own residence. The most well known of these is the Gropius House at 68 Baker Bridge Road, a National Historic Landmark and house museum owned by Historic New England, which was designed by Bauhaus architect Walter Gropius as his personal residence. Two other houses on Woods End Road were also designed by Gropius and his friend Marcel Breuer. Breuer also designed one of the houses on Woods End Road as his personal residence, as did Walter Bogner.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Baker Bridge train wreck occurred on November 26, 1905, in Lincoln, Massachusetts, when two passenger trains on the Fitchburg line of the Boston and Maine Railroad were involved in a rear-end collision. Seventeen people were killed in the wreck. Engineer Horace W. Lyons was charged with manslaughter; however, a grand jury chose not to indict him.

The Carroll School is a school for students diagnosed with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. The school consists of a lower school in Waltham, Massachusetts, a Middle School in Lincoln, and an upper school in Wayland, Massachusetts.

Walden Pond is a celebrated pond in Concord, Massachusetts, in the United States. A good example of a kettle hole, it was formed by retreating glaciers 10,000–12,000 years ago. The pond is protected as part of Walden Pond State Reservation, a 335-acre (136 ha) state park and recreation site managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The reservation was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962 for its association with the writer Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862), whose two years living in a cabin on its shore provided the foundation for his famous 1854 work, Walden; or, Life in the Woods. The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 ensured federal support for the preservation of the pond.

Flints Pond (or Flint's Pond; also known as Sandy Pond) is a body of water in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Named for Flint House, on the land of which it was situated, it is the town's major water supply, with Tower Road Well being the supplemental source.The pond is located around 1.15 miles (1.85 km) north-northwest of Lincoln's town centre. The DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, built on the former estate of Julian de Cordova, sits on the southern shores of the pond. The pond is passed by State Route 2 around 0.5 miles (0.80 km) to the north. One of its outflows is Mill Brook, noted for its connection to the battles of Lexington and Concord.

The Lincoln Center Historic District is a historic district on Bedford, Lincoln, Old Lexington, Sandy Pond, Trapelo & Weston Roads in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The district encompasses Lincoln's civic heart, consisting of a traditional New England Meeting House, a Late Victorian church and the Lincoln Public Library, and a Georgian Revival town hall, as well as a cluster of residences dating to the mid-18th century, when Lincoln was established as a town separate from its neighbors.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Codman House (also known as The Grange) is a historic house set on a 16-acre (6.5 ha) estate at 36 Codman Road, Lincoln, Massachusetts. Thanks to a gift by Dorothy Codman, it has been owned by Historic New England since 1969 and is open to the public June 1–October 15 on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. An admission fee is charged. The main house was originally Georgian in style and was built in approximately 1735 by Chambers Russell, the de facto founder of Lincoln, Massachusetts. It was enlarged in the 1790s to its current three-story Federal style by John Codman, brother-in-law of Chambers Russell III and executor of his estate. This was perhaps with some involvement of noted American architect Charles Bulfinch. The interior is extensively furnished with portraits, memorabilia, and art works collected in Europe. Various rooms preserve the decorative schemes of every era, including those of noted interior designer Ogden Codman, Jr. The former carriage house, built c. 1870 to a design by Snell & Gregerson, is also located on the property. Until the 1980s, it was original to its use as a stable and an early auto garage and contained many artifacts of both. A few of those artifacts continue to be on display in the carriage house including an early gas pump and a large machine powered lathe. The grounds have been farmed almost continuously since 1735 and now also include an Italian garden, circa 1899, with perennial beds, statuary, and a reflecting pool filled with waterlilies, as well as an English cottage garden, circa 1930. The Codman Estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places as "The Grange" in 1974.

Fairyland Pond is a pond within Hapgood Wright Town Forest, a conservation area in Concord, Massachusetts. It is a popular recreation area, notable for its old-growth forest and its association with many literary figures from Concord’s past.

Lincoln station is an MBTA Commuter Rail in Lincoln, Massachusetts, served by the Fitchburg Line. The station has two side platforms, both adjacent to the outbound track but on opposite sides of the Lincoln Road grade crossing. Outbound trains stop at the north platform, while inbound trains stop opposite the south platform and passengers use two asphalt crossings to board. The configuration was made to minimize the number of stopped trains that block Lincoln Road, as the town emergency services are based nearby and Lincoln Road is the most direct route to the town center. Both platforms are low-level; Lincoln station is not accessible. There has been continuous commuter service to Lincoln since the station stop was established before 1850. A station building formerly stood on the outbound side; it was demolished by 1962.

The Daniel Brooks House is a historic First Period house located at 19 Brooks Road in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

Mount Misery is a 284-foot hill and public conservation land in Lincoln, Massachusetts, on Route 117 (Great Road) and on the Bay Circuit Trail near the Sudbury River. Containing 227 acres (92 ha), Mount Misery is the largest piece of conservation land in the town and contains seven miles of public hiking trails through hills, wetlands and agricultural fields.
