South Wayne Historic District is a national historic district located in Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 316 contributing buildings in a residential area of Wayne. The majority of the dwellings were built between 1881 and 1930, and include notable examples of Shingle Style and Colonial Revival architecture, representing the work of Will Price, Horace Trumbauer, and several other architects. The district reflects suburban development in the late-19th century as it was a major component of a large, planned, railroad commuter suburb called "the Wayne Estates," complementing the northern half of the residential area which is now included in the North Wayne Historic District, and the downtown area of Wayne, which sits between the two residential districts, now the Downtown Wayne Historic District.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

St. Davids station is a commuter rail station located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia at the intersection of Chamounix Road & Glynn Lane, Wayne, Pennsylvania. Named for the nearby historic Episcopal church, the station is served by most Paoli/Thorndale Line trains. There is no ticket office at this station. There are 107 parking spaces at the station (57 SEPTA spaces, 50 non-SEPTA spaces). There are also 5 bike racks available that can accommodate up to 20 bikes. It is in Radnor Township. St. Davids station is 13.7 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station, and was originally built in 1890 by the Pennsylvania Railroad. The station depot was demolished in 1966 and replaced with the existing structure. In 2017, the average total weekday boardings at this station was 242, and the average total weekday alightings was 278.There is currently an ongoing effort to raise funding for a planned restoration of the station shelters to their original 19th-century condition. This restoration includes replacing later woodwork that utilized simple designs not matching original specifications, return of cast-iron Pennsylvania Railroad station signage, and repainting the station shelters to historically accurate colors.

The Welsh Tract, also called the Welsh Barony, was a portion of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania settled largely by Welsh-speaking Quakers. It is located to the west of Philadelphia. The original settlers, led by John Roberts, negotiated with William Penn in 1684 to constitute the Tract as a separate county whose local government would use the Welsh language. The Barony was never formally created, but the many Welsh settlers gave their communities Welsh names that survive today. A more successful attempt at setting up a Gwladfa (Welsh-speaking colony) occurred two centuries later, in the Chubut Province of Patagonia, Argentina.

Radnor Township, often called simply Radnor, is a first class township with home rule status in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2019 United States census estimate, the township population is 31,875. Radnor Township is the largest municipality in Delaware County by land area and the fourth-largest by population, following Upper Darby Township, Haverford Township, and Chester.Radnor Township is one of the oldest municipalities in Pennsylvania. Radnor Township was founded as a part of the Welsh tract. The original settlers were Welsh-speaking Quakers, led by John Roberts, in an attempt to establish an barony of Wales in Pennsylvania. In about 1681, a group of Welsh Quakers met with William Penn to secure a grant of land in which they could conduct their affairs in their own language. The parties agreed on a tract covering 40,000 acres (160 km2), to be constituted as a separate county whose people and government could conduct their affairs in Welsh. William Penn, an English Quaker, laid out the township in an elongated rectangle located parallel to the Schuylkill River, and the borders of the township have remained unchanged since its founding in 1682.In 1717, the Welsh Friends built a meeting house on a trail made by the Susquehannock Indians in Radnor Township. Radnor Township grew around the meeting house and remained the center of population of the township for 200 years. The new township was named "Radnor" after the county in Wales called Radnorshire. The influence of the Welsh, some of whom were forced by heavy taxation to sell their land, waned in the latter half of the 18th century. A hint of Radnor's beginnings remain in the names of streets and places evident throughout the community, such as the St. Davids neighborhood, named for Saint David, the patron saint of Wales.There are a number colleges and universities located in Radnor Township. The two largest, Villanova University and Cabrini University. The Valley Forge Military Academy and College is located in the neighborhood of Wayne and Eastern University is located in the neighborhood of St. Davids.

Downtown Wayne Historic District is a national historic district located at Radnor Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The district includes approximately 100 resources.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Wayne Hotel, formerly known as The Waynewood, is a historic hotel located at Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1906, and is a five-story, Tudor Revival building, with a two-story rear extension. It is built of brick and stucco with false Half Timbering. It features a one-story, wraparound porch with a semi-circular dining projection and two projecting bay windows extending from the second to fourth floors. Local entrepreneur Stephen W. Bajus purchased the property in the 1980s and, after a complete refurbishment, the hotel offers all the usual modern amenities, including a restaurant, a private room for dining and meetings, 40 guest rooms plus two luxury suites and 14 off-site luxury furnished apartments for longer term stays. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Ithan Station was a former train station of the Philadelphia and Western Railroad outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was constructed as a stop on the Strafford Branch of the line that is now known as the Norristown High Speed Line. The station was active along what was then considered to be the main line (1907–1956) until the Norristown branch became the main line in 1912. According to another source, the station was situated between the Wayne Junction and Radnor stations.

Wayne is an unincorporated community centered in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on the Main Line, a series of highly affluent Philadelphia suburbs located along the railroad tracks of the Pennsylvania Railroad and one of the wealthiest areas in the nation. While the center of Wayne is in Radnor Township, Wayne extends into both Tredyffrin Township in Chester County and Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County. The center of Wayne was designated the Downtown Wayne Historic District in 2012. Considering the large area served by the Wayne post office, the community may extend slightly into Easttown Township, Chester County, as well. The center of the Wayne business district is the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Wayne Avenue, its main street. The historic Wayne station is located one block north of this intersection. The Wayne business district also includes a post office, a cinema, a hotel, a library, the new Radnor Middle School, and several banks, stores, restaurants, cafes, bars and other commercial establishments. Other institutions and attractions in Wayne include the Wayne Hotel, Chanticleer Garden, and the Valley Forge Military Academy and College.

Wayne station is a commuter rail station located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia at North Wayne Avenue & West Avenue in Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It is served by most Paoli/Thorndale Line trains. It is in Radnor Township.The Wayne station was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1882 to 1884, on a design by Washington Bleddyn Powell. The original builder was William H. Bilyeu. It consists of two Victorian buildings flanking the rail lines and connected by a tunnel. The station building was restored from 1998 to 2010 with significant local community support and funding. The year after this restoration project began, the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration included repair or replacement of the chimney, masonry, windows, doors, and the retaining wall. SEPTA began a $22.7 million second phase of improvements that replaced the roof, repaired masonry and structural members, and made other upgrades to the station building. The outbound shelter, dating from about 1890, was rebuilt, mostly with new materials. Also installed were ADA-mandated improvements including new high-level platforms, stairs and ramps to the platforms, building modifications, lighting, handrails, and signage. The new platforms, on both the inbound and outbound sides east of the station building, meant that trains no longer stop in front of the station itself, except in special cases. Until summer 2010, the building housed the Station Cafe & Juice Bar, which served coffee, tea, and other beverages in the mornings and occasionally featured live jazz at night. The cafe left the station shortly before renovations were completed, and re-opened under new ownership shortly after construction was completed. It is now Fabio & Danny's Station Café. The ticket office at this station is open weekday mornings excluding holidays. There are 225 parking spaces at the station (including metered daily parking in nearby lots). This station is 14.5 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station. In 2017, the average total weekday boardings at this station was 526, and the average total weekday alightings was 571.Wayne station is served by the connector shuttle bus operated by the King of Prussia District, which connects Paoli/Thorndale Line trains at the station to the business parks in King of Prussia during peak weekday hours.

Saturday Club is a historic women's club clubhouse located at Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1899, and is a 1 1/2-story, English Half Timber frame building. It measures approximately 55 feet by 75 feet, and has a gable roof with three gabled dormers. Its appearance is patterned after Shakespeare's Birthplace in Stratford-on-Avon, England.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

North Wayne Historic District is a national historic district located at Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 190 contributing buildings in a residential area of Wayne. The contributing dwellings were built between 1881 and 1925, and include notable examples of Shingle Style and Colonial Revival architecture. The district also reflects suburban development in the late-19th century as it was a major component of a large, planned, railroad commuter suburb called "Wayne Estate." It is located north of the South Wayne Historic District.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Woodcrest is a historic mansion located on the campus of Cabrini University in Radnor Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1901, with major alterations designed by Horace Trumbauer and completed in 1907, with additional modifications executed in 1914. It is a three-story, 51 room, 47,000 square feet mansion in the Elizabethan Tudor Revival style. It was once part of a 238-acre estate, 112 acres of which is Cabrini University. The Estate of Dr. John T. Dorrance, inventor of the process for condensed soup and president of the Campbell Soup Company, sold to the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1953. Cabrini University (then called Cabrini College) opened in September 1957, and Woodcrest served as its first home.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
