Lynn Realty Company Building No. 2

The Lynn Item Building is a historic commercial building at 38-54 Exchange Street in downtown Lynn, Massachusetts. It was built in 1900-1901 to a design by local architect Henry Warren Rogers. It was home to The Daily Item, the city's leading newspaper, until 2014, and is the city's only surviving 19th-century purpose-built newspaper building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. It was converted to mixed commercial and residential use in 2021.

The Tapley Building was a historic Romanesque building at 206 Broad Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. The five story brick factory building was built in 1890 to replace an earlier factory, which was destroyed in Lynn's 1889 fire. It was built for the firm founded by Philip P. Tapley, which was one of Lynn's leading shoe manufacturers. It included firesafe construction methods including fireproof stairwells, and two elevators.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. A total of five Holman K. Wheeler structures in Lynn are listed on the National Register. The building was destroyed by fire in 1999.

Lynn Heritage State Park was a history-themed state park in downtown Lynn, Massachusetts, and was part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston. It opened in 1986. The Lynn Museum and Historical Society (the tenant of the former Park Visitor Center building) now displays exhibits which highlight the city's industrial past, the tradition of shoemaking and its transition from a handicraft to mechanization, and the story of Elihu Thomson, an engineer and inventor instrumental in the founding of General Electric. The park offers guided tours and a self-guided walking tour and includes the nearby 4.5-acre (1.8 ha) Waterfront Park, located at Lynn Harbor.

The Capitol Diner is a historic diner at 431 Union Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. Built in 1928 by the J. G. Brill Company, it is believed to be that company's last operating diner. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Central Square Historic District is a historic district encompassing the Central Square area of downtown Lynn, Massachusetts. The area is at the confluence of a number of city streets, and includes buildings that border on Central Avenue, Willow Street, Munroe Street, Lake Street, Almont Street. It is a small part of Lynn's "Burned District", a large area of the downtown that was destroyed by fire in 1889. One of the first buildings built after the fire, the Bergengren Block, stands at the corner of Union Street and Central Square. It also includes the Mowers' Block, listed on the National Register in 1982.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Lynn Bank Block is a historic bank building at 21–29 Exchange Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. The three story building was built for the First National Bank of Lynn and the Lynn Institution for Savings in 1891. It was the first Colonial Revival construction in Lynn's rebuilding effort after a disastrous fire destroyed much of its central business district in 1889. Most of the earlier buildings erected after the fire were in Romanesque Revival styling. The building features a large central entry section with an arch framing a recessed doorway and a Palladian window above, which is flanked by columns. On either side of the entry the building extends for three window bays. The two banking institutions shared the building, one occupying each side.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The building currently serves as the headquarters of LynnArts, a local arts organization. It was also home to the studios of noted independent alternative rock station, WFNX for the station's entire existence from 1983 to 2012. Both LynnArts and WFNX used the address of the building as 25 Exchange Street.

The Mowers' Block is a historic commercial block at Seven Willow St. and 67-83 Blake Street in downtown Lynn, Massachusetts. It was built in 1891 for the Mower & Brother shoemaking firm. The brick and granite building was built on the site of the Mower's old factory, in which the Great Lynn Fire of 1889 started, destroying not just their factory but a large swath of downtown Lynn as well. When completed, it was the largest building in the burned area.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and was included in the Central Square Historic District in 1985.

The Vamp Building is a historic factory building at 3-15 Liberty Square in downtown Lynn, Massachusetts. The eight story brick building was built in 1903 as the Lynn Realty Company Building #4 to a design by local architect Henry Warren Rogers, and was extended over the next four years to occupy the entire city block bounded by Washington Street, Union Street, and Liberty Square. The "flatiron" V-shape of the building was the basis for its name, as it resembles the shape of the vamp of a shoe. The building served in its early years as a home for all manner of businesses related to the manufacture of shoes. At the time of its construction it was the largest brick building of its kind in the world.The building suffered relatively little damage in the fire of November 28, 1981, losing only its top floor. The strong construction and newly installed sprinkler system were credited with limiting the scope of destruction of the fire, preventing the blaze from reaching farther into the city.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and is one of three registered buildings in Lynn designed by Henry Warren Rogers.

The Fabens Building is a historic commercial building at 312-344 Union Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. The four story brick building was built in 1890, replacing two buildings that were destroyed in Lynn's disastrous 1889 fire. It was built for William Fabens, a Marblehead lawyer and judge who maintained offices in the city and sat on the city police court. The building had seven storefronts on the ground floor, with office space on the upper floors. Designed by local architect Henry Warren Rogers, it is one Lynn's most significant Romanesque Revival buildings.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and is one of three registered buildings in Lynn designed by Henry Warren Rogers.

The Thomas P. Costin Jr. Post Office Building, formerly known as the United States Post Office—Lynn Main is a historic post office building at 51 Willow Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. It still serves as Lynn's central post office. The two story granite Art Moderne building was built in 1933. It features a central three-bay entry pavilion that projects slightly from the facade; there are pilaster elements flanking and between the windows of this section. On either side of the entry are four-bay wings. The building occupies the entire width of a city block. Inside, the lobby area is richly colored, with multiple shades of marble used on the floors and decorative wall and ceiling elements. It also retains a number of original features, such as writing desks and light fixtures.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.In late 2018, the building was renamed by an Act of Congress in honor of Thomas P. Costin Jr., the 45th and youngest Mayor of Lynn, who later served as Postmaster for the Lynn District from 1961 to 1992. The official dedication ceremony was held on May 24, 2019.

The Munroe Street Historic District encompasses some of the few commercial buildings to survive in downtown Lynn, Massachusetts from the mid 19th century. The district includes properties on Munroe Street between Market and Washington Streets, which was spared by the 1889 fire that destroyed much of Lynn's downtown area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The G.A.R. Hall and Museum is a historic museum at 58 Andrew Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. The four story Romanesque brick building was built in 1885 by contractor Frank G. Kelly to the design of the Lynn firm Wheeler & Northend for the General Frederick W. Lander Post 5 of the Grand Army of the Republic, an American Civil War veterans organization. It has two storefronts on the ground floor, offices and a library with spaces for 1500 volumes on the second floor, and a large 46'10" x 56'4" meeting hall on the upper two floors. The roofline originally had ornate brick crenellations, but these were removed in the mid 20th century. The first two floors have also been altered over time, but the meeting hall remains in nearly original condition.The building was constructed with incandescent electric lighting by the Thomson-Houston Electric Company, which had moved to Lynn two years prior.With declining membership in the organization, the building was turned over to the city in 1919 by a Special Act of the Massachusetts Legislature. The city operates it as a museum.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.The building is the earliest known work by Holman K. Wheeler, who designed and constructed more than 400 structures in Lynn and surrounding towns, including residences, schools, commercial and factory buildings, and monuments. A total of five H. K. Wheeler structures in Lynn are listed on the National Register. The father of co-architect William Wheelwright Northend, Massachusetts State Senator William Dummer Northend, while attending Governor Dummer Academy as a child, became longtime friends with General Frederick W. Lander for whom the Lynn G.A.R. Post is named. In 2018, a fundraising campaign was started to raise as much as $10 million for needed repairs, renovations, and preservation of the museum's collection. Plans include making the building ADA compliant with additions such as an elevator. An updated climate control system is also needed to preserve the museum artifacts.The museum was named one of the top 11 most endangered historic resources in Massachusetts for 2018 by Preservation Massachusetts.
