CBM-FM

CBF-FM (95.1 FM) is a French-language radio station licensed to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned and operated by the government-owned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, it transmits from the Mount Royal candelabra tower with an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts (class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna. Its studios and master control are located at Maison Radio-Canada in Montreal. The station has a non-commercial news/talk format and is the flagship of the Ici Radio-Canada Première network which operates across Canada. Like all Première stations, but unlike most FM stations, it broadcasts in mono. In the summer of 2018, CBF-FM started to broadcast in FM multiplex.

CKUT-FM is the official campus community radio station of McGill University. It can be heard at 90.3 FM in Montreal. CKUT's FM signal, broadcast from a tower on the top of Mount Royal, reaches as far as the Eastern Townships and upstate New York. CKUT is consistently voted as the Best Radio Station in The Montreal Mirror's, "Cult Montreal" Best of Montreal Readers Poll. CKUT's programming is produced by more than 300 volunteers who are McGill students and members of the community. The station also employs a handful of full-time and part-time coordinators. The station's format is freeform in that each programmer is responsible for choosing music without regard to commercial interests. A great variety of music and spoken-word shows are broadcast daily in a multiplicity of languages, including English, French, Spanish, Korean, Hindi, and Haitian Creole. Special programming initiatives include The Truth About Columbus, Feminist Frequencies, Radio Art Celebrations and Experimentations, and The Homelessness Marathon, an event which CKUT established and has hosted annually since 2002, during which CKUT broadcasts for fourteen hours, from dusk until dawn, to engage with homelessness in Canada live and direct from the streets of Montreal. CKUT-FM started broadcasting on November 16, 1987.

CJPX-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Owned and operated by Leclerc Communication, it broadcasts on 99.5 MHz using an omnidirectional antenna on Mount Royal with an effective radiated power of 8,700 watts (class B). It was previously owned and operated by Groupe Musique Greg, fronted by Montreal musician and radio personality Gregory Charles. Its main studios were located in Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Notre-Dame in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River.

CHOM-FM is an English-language radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned and operated by Bell Media, it broadcasts on 97.7 MHz from the Mount Royal candelabra tower, with an effective radiated power of 41,200 watts (class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna, while its studios are located at the Bell Media Building at 1717 René Lévesque Boulevard East in Downtown Montreal. The station has a mainstream rock format since the station started using the brand name CHOM, and is sometimes pronounced SHOHM, but other Bell Media Radio personalities have also pronounced it as CHOM.

CKMF-FM (94.3 MHz) is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, owned and operated by Bell Media. The station airs a mainstream rock format and is the flagship station of the Énergie network, which operates across Quebec. It offers personality DJs playing francophone and anglophone rock hits from the current charts to the 1980s. CKMF-FM broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 41,400 watts as a Class C1 station, using an omnidirectional antenna from the Mount Royal candelabra tower at 297.4 meters (976 ft) in height above average terrain (HAAT). Its studios and offices are located at the Bell Media Building at 1717 Rene-Levesque Boulevard East in Downtown Montreal.

CIRA-FM is a French language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Its studios are located at 5000 d'Iberville street in the Plateau Mont-Royal district of Montreal. It broadcasts on 91.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 36,200 watts (class C1) using an omnidirectional antenna located atop Mount Royal. Radio Ville-Marie now stylized as Radio VM received CRTC approval in 1994 to operate a new religious French-language FM radio programming at Montreal.This radio station is Catholic and has a religious broadcasting format. Since its inception in 1995 it identifies itself as "Radio Ville-Marie". CIRA-FM is not a commercial broadcaster and as such does not carry paid advertising.

CITE-FM (107.3 MHz) is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Owned and operated by Bell Media, it airs an adult contemporary format. It is also the flagship station of the "Rouge FM" network, which operates across Quebec and in the Ottawa-Gatineau radio market. The studios and offices are located at the Bell Media building at 1717 Rene-Levesque Boulevard East in Downtown Montreal. CITE-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 42,900 watts, using an omnidirectional antenna from the Mount Royal candelabra tower. It broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format.

CKBE-FM (92.5 MHz, The Beat 92.5) is an English language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. It is owned and operated by Cogeco and airs a Rhythmic adult contemporary format. CKBE-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts as a Class C1 station, using an omnidirectional antenna from a transmitter atop Mount Royal, at 289.9 meters in height above average terrain (HAAT). Its studios and offices are located at Place Bonaventure in downtown Montreal.

CBFX-FM (100.7 MHz) is a public non-commercial radio station in Montreal, Quebec. It is the flagship station of the Ici Musique Network and broadcasts in French. Owned and operated by the government-owned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (French: Société Radio-Canada), CBFX-FM is a Class C1 station. It transmits from the Mount Royal candelabra tower with an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts. Its studios and offices, along with those of Ici Radio-Canada Première sister station CBF-FM, are located at Maison Radio-Canada on René Lévesque Boulevard.

CHMP-FM (98.5 MHz) is a French language talk radio station serving the Greater Montreal Area and licensed to the off-Island suburb of Longueuil. Owned and operated by Cogeco, it broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts as a Class C1 station, using an omnidirectional antenna atop Mount Royal, at 298.9 metres (981') in height above average terrain (HAAT). CHMP's studios and offices are located at Place Bonaventure in downtown Montreal. The station identifies itself as 98,5 FM and is one of the few full-time FM talk stations in North America to broadcast in stereo. The station has a few music blocks, during weekends. Notable personalities include popular morning drive time host Paul Arcand, midday host and former Minister responsible for Democratic Institutions and Active Citizenship in 2012 under Pauline Marois, Bernard Drainville, weekend morning host Paul Houde, former NHL referee and late-night sports talk host Ron Fournier and popular journalist Patrick Lagacé, who hosts the afternoon drive time show. Former mayor of Montreal’s Le Plateau-Mont-Royal district and environmentalist Luc Ferrandez and former Mulroney government diplomat Luc Lavoie also appear daily as collaborators. Gilles Proulx was also heard on the station from 2004 until his retirement on August 7, 2008.

CISM-FM is the official campus radio station of the Université de Montréal. It is run by student volunteers and can be heard in Montreal and its outlying regions at 89.3 FM or by Internet users around the world through online streaming. CISM broadcasts in French. As early as 1970, Université de Montréal students developed the idea of a French college radio station. In 1980, a requested feasibility study gave place to recommendations for a potential radio broadcasting school. At noon on October 7, 1985, CISM broadcast its first radio show over the university's campus. In July 1990, CISM gained its FM broadcast permit from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). Then, on March 14, 1991, CISM's broadcasting antenna (located atop Mount Royal) was boosted to 10,000 watts. With a broadcasting radius of 70 km (40 miles), CISM is now the world's largest French-language college radio station. The station also broadcasts a Tamil language radio format on a subsidiary communications multiplex operation frequency, branded as International Tamil Radio (ITR-FM). ITR-FM has recently been granted approval for a 50-watt station on FM 102.9 in the Ahuntsic neighbourhood.

CBME-FM is an English-language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Owned and operated by the government-owned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, it broadcasts on 88.5 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 11,510 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 25,000 watts (class B) from a transmitter atop Mount Royal. The station has a commercial-free news/talk format and is part of the CBC Radio One network which operates across Canada. Like all CBC Radio One stations, but unlike most FM stations, it broadcasts in mono. Some local shows and newscasts produced at CBME-FM are also heard on a chain of stations across Quebec. Its studios and offices, along with those of sister stations CBM-FM, CBF-FM and CBFX-FM are located at Maison Radio-Canada at 1400 René Lévesque Boulevard East. Master control is at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto.
