Great World MRT station is an upcoming underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line at the boundary of River Valley and Singapore River planning areas, Singapore. The station is named after the Great World shopping mall, which is located near this station.

Chee Guan Chiang House, also known as the Wellington House, is an abandoned bungalow on Grange Road in River Valley, Singapore. Built in 1938 for Chee Guan Chiang, the son of Chee Swee Cheng, it served as a guest house for several years before it was left vacant.

The Sri Thendayuthapani Temple, better known as the Chettiars' Temple, is one of Singapore Hindu community's most important monuments. Hong San See (traditional Chinese: 鳳山寺; simplified Chinese: 凤山寺; pinyin: Fèngshān sì; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Hōng-suann-sī) is a Chinese temple in Singapore, and is located at Mohamed Sultan Road in the River Valley Planning Area, within the Central Area. Hong San See Temple was constructed between 1908 and 1913, erected by migrants from Nan An County in Fujian province with materials imported from China. Built on a small hill, the temple once overlooked the sea. The temple's vicinity now mainly houses bars, restaurants and expensive apartments. Singapore Lam Ann Association manages the temple.

Great World, formerly known as Great World City, is a mixed-used development consisting of a 6-storey shopping mall, two 18-storey office towers and a 35-storey serviced apartment tower in the Central Area of Singapore. Located between Kim Seng and Zion Roads, near River Valley Road and Kim Seng Promenade, it was built on the former site of Great World Amusement Park. The East Office Tower of Great World houses the Embassy of Kazakhstan on the 9th floor of the building.

The Great World Amusement Park (Chinese: 大世界) also known locally as "Tua Seh Kai" in Hokkien, was the second of three former amusement parks in Singapore, along with New World (established 1923) and Gay World (established 1936). It was established in 1929 and closed down in 1978. It provided entertainment and leisure to people, catering especially to the middle and lower income groups of citizens in the past.

Number 38, Oxley Road was the residence of Singapore's first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew from the 1940s until his death in 2015. The house was built in the late 19th century and is an eight-bedroom two-storey bungalow located near Orchard Road. The first meeting of the People's Action Party (PAP) occurred in the basement.In 2017, it became central to a dispute in Singapore among Lee's children - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling – over its use and demolition. Lee Kuan Yew had originally willed the house to Lee Hsien Loong, who later sold it to Lee Hsien Yang in 2015 at market price, on the condition that both of them would donate half of the value to charity.

111 Somerset is a high-rise commercial building and shopping mall in Orchard, Singapore. The building was first known as Public Utilities Board Building (PUB Building) until 1995, and was later known as Singapore Power Building until 2008 when acquired by YTL Corporation Pacific Star. It used to house the headquarters of SP Group, until it shifted to its current site at Kallang.It includes two office towers and a retail podium. It is currently being managed by Perennial Real Estate Holdings.

The Pavilion is a house on Oxley Hill, near Orchard Road in Singapore. The Pavilion served as Government House between 1859 and 1861, after Raffles House was demolished to make way for a fort. The street address of the site is 5 Oxley Rise, Singapore. The Pavilion's prominent site on the top of the hill allows it to overlook Lee Kuan Yew's house at 38 Oxley Road.
