Millcreek Canyon (Salt Lake County, Utah)

Mount Olympus or Olympus Cove is a neighborhood in Millcreek, Utah built on the northwestern slopes of Mount Olympus of the Wasatch Range. It was formerly a census-designated place (CDP), but was consolidated into the Millcreek CDP for census purposes in 2010. Millcreek incorporated as a city in 2016. The commercial center of the neighborhood is the relatively flat area south of the crossing of Mill Creek by Interstate 215, which includes the Olympus Hills Shopping Center, Skyline High School, a trailhead for non-motorized access to Mill Creek Canyon, and a Utah Transit Authority park and ride lot. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 7,103, a slight decrease from the 1990 figure of 7,413.

Olympus Hills Shopping Center, located at 3900 Wasatch Blvd, Salt Lake City, Utah, was established in 1963, and is named after the mountain to the East. It sits within the Olympus Cove in Millcreek, Utah.

The Fish-Baughman House is a one-story, frame, California Ranch-style house at 3436 E. Ranch View Dr. in Millcreek, Utah. It was built in 1955 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.It was partly a pre-fabricated structure and was deemed significant "for its association with the architects Cliff May and Chris Choate, and the Cliff May Homes phenomenon of the mid-1950s."The listing includes a second contributing building.

Skyline High School is a public high school in Millcreek, Utah, United States. Skyline High School serves ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. The school opened in 1962 and is administered by the Granite School District. Admission to Skyline High School is open enrollment. Students are neither required to take an admission exam nor need to live within the boundaries set by the administering district. Academically, it is one of only seven Utah schools to offer the IB Diploma Program, along with Hillcrest High School, and West High School. Skyline's music and drama programs have received statewide recognition. The debate program is also ranked at the region and state levels. Since the school's establishment, fourteen Skyline students have been selected as US Presidential Scholars.

Neffs Cave (or Neffs Canyon Cave) is a cave in Neffs Canyon on the north side of Mount Olympus, Utah, in the United States. It is one of the deepest caves in the United States but is seldom entered despite its depth and its proximity to Salt Lake City. The United States Forest Service has closed the cave to the public for many years due to safety hazards. In 1977, Neffs Canyon Cave was designated as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service.

Parleys Canyon is a canyon located in the U.S. state of Utah. The canyon provides the route of Interstate 80 (I-80) (and previously the Lincoln Highway, U.S. Route 40, and a railroad) up the western slope of the Wasatch Mountains and is a relatively wide, straight canyon other than near its mouth. The mountain pass at the top of the canyon is known as Parleys Summit. With an elevation of 7,120 feet (2,170 m), the pass is the highest point along I-80 in the state of Utah. Both features are named for Parley P. Pratt, an early settler of the Salt Lake Valley and leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who surveyed the area to find a better transportation route through the Wasatch Mountains than the previous route which traversed Emigration Canyon.

Grandeur Peak is an 8,299-foot-elevation (2,530-meter) mountain summit located in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States.

East Millcreek was a census-designated place (CDP) in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, that was consolidated with neighboring Millcreek in 2010. The consolidated CDP was incorporated in 2016. The population was 21,385 at the 2000 census, a minute increase over the 1990 figure of 21,184. It was originally proposed to be included in the corporate limits of the city of Holladay, which was incorporated on November 29, 1999. However, inclusion of East Millcreek was rejected by voters in 2008. East Millcreek was then incorporated with the former Millcreek CDP as the city of Millcreek on December 28, 2016.

Mount Olympus in the U.S. state of Utah is one of the most prominent and recognizable mountains viewable from practically every location in the Salt Lake Valley. Mount Olympus is not the tallest peak along the Wasatch Front, but its unusual form and location make it a popular hiking destination for locals. The mountain is situated immediately east of the center of the Salt Lake Valley (due east from Murray and Taylorsville). Distinctive features of the mountain are its twin peaks and other outcroppings, the highest of which is called "Summit Peak" and which towers above the valley to an elevation of 9,030 feet (2,752 m). Thus, the peak looms about 4,800 feet (1,463 m) above the valley floor.

Olympus High School is a public high school in the Granite School District in Holladay, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.

The Anders Hintze House, located at 4249 S. 2300 East in Holladay, Utah, was built in c.1863-64. It is a "Type IIA" pair-house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The house was deemed "significant as an example of Scandinavian vernacular architecture in Utah", and it is one of few houses in the Salt Lake valley surviving from the 1860s. It is a one-story adobe house with a stucco exterior that was applied in the 1940s, when an original scroll-bracketed porch was removed.It was built by Anders Hintze, who was born in 1821 in Herslex, Roskilde Parish, Denmark, who converted to the LDS church in the 1850s and came to Utah early in the 1860s. The house was home for one of his three wives, Karen Sophie Swenson; the other wives lived in smaller houses on the family property.A plan of the house and a photograph were exhibited at the Danish Immigrant Museum in 2001. The museum termed it a "three-part house", reflecting it having a central room with side rooms. In this example, the side rooms are two deep.

Canyon Rim was a census-designated place (CDP) in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, that was consolidated with neighboring Millcreek CDP in 2010. The consolidated CDP was incorporated in 2016. The population was 10,428 at the 2000 census, a minuscule decrease from the 1990 figure of 10,527. The area formerly in Canyon Rim CDP is located just south of Interstate 80 and the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City near the mouth of Parley's Canyon (hence the name Canyon Rim). Canyon rim is notable for Canyon Rim Park, Tanner Park, and Parleys Historic Nature Park. The area formerly in Canyon Rim CDP is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area.
