Columbus Academy

Gahanna Christian Academy (GCA) is a private school (preschool and k-8) situated in the northeast area of Columbus, Ohio in the suburb of Gahanna, Ohio. Gahanna Christian Academy is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.

On February 11, 2016, Mohamed Barry, a native of Guinea who was a permanent resident in the United States and had been working in computer programming and information technology, entered the Nazareth Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, and began to attack customers with a machete, injuring four. Barry was killed as he attempted to attack police officers with his machete. Four years prior to the incident, he had been investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for making radical statements. The attack was investigated as a possible instance of lone-wolf terrorism. In 2017, the White House said it was a terrorist attack.

Gahanna ( gə-HAN-ə) is a city situated in northeast Franklin County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Columbus. The population was 35,726 at the 2020 census. It was founded in 1849.

WCVO is a radio station in Gahanna, Ohio, United States located at 104.9 MHz broadcasting family-friendly Christian music as "104.9 the River" in Central Ohio. Previously operated by Christian Voice of Central Ohio until 2012, the parent company changed its name to One Connection Media Group. 104.9 the River's slogan is "Uplifting and Encouraging".In April 2016, the Ohio Supreme Court determined that WCVO-FM is considered a place of "public worship" and therefore exempt from property taxes, overturning an earlier decision by Ohio tax commissioner Joseph Testa.WCVO broadcasts in the HD Radio format.

Creekside Gahanna, more formally called Gahanna-Creekside, is a mixed-use development located in downtown Gahanna, Ohio (also known as Olde Gahanna).

Lincoln High School is a public high school in Gahanna, Ohio, United States. It is in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district.

The McDannald Homestead was a house in Columbus, Ohio. It was built c. 1850 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The house was one of the largest and best preserved rural residential buildings in Franklin County. The house was a sanctuary stop on the Underground Railroad. It was demolished by Allstate on September 24, 1993, as the organization had planned to build a commercial office park there. Then-city councilor Michael Coleman expressed that it could have been saved if added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, which had just added demolition restrictions that July.The house had two and a half stories, and was built of red brick made on-site. It had thirteen rooms, mostly large, square, and with tall ceilings. The house was largely constructed from materials on the land, including walnut and cherry wood, though the parlor utilized pine transported from Michigan. The architect and builder are both unknown, though it is presumed Randal R. Arnold, a master carpenter who built many houses in the surrounding Blendon Township, also constructed this one.

Easton Town Center is a shopping center and mall in northeast Columbus, Ohio, United States. Opened in 1999, the core buildings and streets that comprise Easton are intended to look like a self-contained town, reminiscent of American towns and cities in the early-to-mid 20th century. Included in the design are fountains, streets laid out in a grid pattern surrounded by a continuous loop, and metered storefront parking. A variety of stores, restaurants, and service-oriented businesses occupy structures of varying sizes, most of which are contiguous, having shared walls. Many of these structures have a similar external appearance. Also included are traditional shopping mall features like large, multi-floor department stores, small kiosks located in the indoor common areas, a cinema complex, ATMs, and both covered and open parking structures. Easton attracts more than 30 million visitors per year.

Hondros College of Nursing is a private, for-profit college that focuses on nursing education with locations in Indiana and Ohio. It has one campus in Indianapolis, Indiana, and six campuses in Ohio: Akron, Cincinnati (West Chester), Cleveland (Independence), Columbus (Westerville), Dayton (Fairborn) and Toledo (Maumee). Students can earn a Practical Nursing Diploma, and an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Bradford School was a small, private, for-profit career college in Columbus, Ohio. It originally was founded in 1911 and moved to its current suburban campus location in 2003. It had on-campus housing for students but more than half of students lived in the Columbus area and commute. It no longer accepted new students as of June 3, 2019. The school remained open for current students to complete their programs through April 2020 and then closed.

Wonderland was a community of summer cottages, just outside the Columbus suburb of Gahanna, near a bend in Big Walnut Creek. By the beginning of the Depression, many of the summer cottages were winterized and became year round homes. In the early-1970s Port Columbus International Airport planned an extension of their north runway, and because of the need for a clear approach, the airport authority was given the go ahead to buy out the remaining property owners still living in Wonderland. Some of the homes were moved to Agler Road, alternating new-built homes between relocated homes. The remaining structures were razed, and the area fenced off. Because its congregation was still using its building, and the church was at the eastern edge of the land, Wonderland Community Church, on Friendship Drive, next to the interchange of Interstate 270 and Hamilton Road was allowed to remain.
