Worksop College (formerly St Cuthbert's College) is a British co-educational private school for both boarding and day pupils aged 13 to 18, in Worksop. It sits at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest, in Nottinghamshire, England. Founded by Nathaniel Woodard in 1890, the school is a member of the Woodard Corporation and Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference, and has a strong Anglo-Catholic tradition.

Manton is a former pit village and suburb of south-east Worksop in north Nottinghamshire, England. Manton's main source of employment for 100 years was Manton Colliery sunk by the Wigan Coal and Iron Company in the late 19th century. The model village was constructed soon afterwards to accommodate the families of miners who came from many parts of the country to secure employment. The village had a school and clubhouse. Manton was separate from Worksop but became contiguous to the town when the council estates were built in the 1950s and 1960s. The colliery was on the South Yorkshire coalfield and was part of the striking Yorkshire region of the National Union of Mineworkers, whereas most miners in the Nottinghamshire region worked through the strike. Two miners from Manton Colliery made headlines in 1984 by challenging the strike's legitimacy under the NUM's constitution, and winning a verdict that the strike was illegal. The miners at Manton had overwhelmingly voted against the strike, but police had advised that they could not guarantee the safety of working miners against pickets.David Peace's novel GB84 refers to Manton, but mistakenly locates it in South Yorkshire.

Portland School was a specialist science college situated in Worksop, United Kingdom. The headteacher upon closing was Elaine Hamilton. The original school buildings were situated on Sparken Hill Worksop, and were built for when the school opened in 1956. The current school building, which is situated on Netherton road, was built in 2007. Portland School was in special measures, as it had an inadequate report from OFSTED after an inspection in March 2010, before its closure.

Outwood Academy Portland is a secondary school with academy status, in Worksop, North Nottinghamshire, on the site of the former Portland School. It has a mixed intake of over 1,200 boys and girls ages 11–16 with a comprehensive admissions policy.The school is operated by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, and the current principal is Danielle Sheehan, taking over from Godsway Dzoboku in January 2022. It publishes a newsletter alongside Outwood Academy Valley, Outlook Magazine, on a termly basis.

Bracebridge is an undefined area of Worksop in Nottinghamshire, lying between Manton to the south, and Kilton to the north, lying on the Chesterfield Canal and the riverRyton, close to a point where the river is crossed-over by the canal. The area takes its name from the Georgian Bridge, which crosses the canal, which was achieved by "bracing" the stonework with iron, achieving a wide single-span. Immediately around this bridge is the core of old Bracebridge, which was created to serve the canal, and is the site of a lock. The bridge is the original route of the B6041, before a new road was built some 200 yards East, to avoid congestion, on the narrow Bracebridge. This original stretch of road is now a cul-de-sac, having been bollarded at the south end close to the bridge over the Ryton. To the west of old Bracebridge, further along the Chesterfield Canal, most of Bracebridge consists of modern housing. However, much of the surrounding area around consists of open wasteland and farmland left behind by the building of the new B6041 road, and the industrial buildings of Manton. Lying east of the new B6041 is a former pumping station, built of brick, in a pseudo French Baroque style complete with sloping roof.

Worksop Priory (formally the Priory Church of Our Lady and Saint Cuthbert, Worksop) is a Church of England parish church and former priory in the town of Worksop, Nottinghamshire, part of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley. The church is Grade I listed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport as a building of outstanding architectural or historic interest.

St Marys Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. It was built from 1838 to 1840 by Weightman and Hadfield in the Gothic Revival style. It is located on Park Street to the south of the town centre. It was paid for by Bernard Howard, 12th Duke of Norfolk after the sale of Worksop Manor and was once visited by Archduke Franz Ferdinand. It is a Grade II listed building.

Worksop War Memorial is a 20th-century grade II* listed war memorial in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Worksop Town Hall is a municipal building in Potter Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. The town hall, which was the headquarters of Worksop Borough Council, is a Grade II listed building. It is used for meetings of Bassetlaw District Council, whose main offices are in an adjoining building.

Kilton is a large suburban area in the northeast of the market town of Worksop in the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands of England. It consists of a series of large post-World War II housing developments, some of which are council estates. The suburb was, since the late nineteenth century, home to Kilton Hospital, which was, along with Victoria Hospital, located on Memorial Avenue in Worksop, one of the town's main hospitals. The hospital existed until the late 1980s, at a time when it chiefly dealt with maternity. Today the surviving main building, with its yellow brick facade, and stag frieze in its pediment, has been incorporated into Bassetlaw District General Hospital, which is located just behind it, and now used as the administration block.

Worksop ( WURK-sop) is a market town in the Bassetlaw District in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 15 miles (24 km) south of Doncaster, 15 miles (24 km) south-east of Sheffield and 24 miles (39 km) north of Nottingham. Located close to Nottinghamshire's borders with South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, it is on the River Ryton and not far from the northern edge of Sherwood Forest. Other nearby towns include Chesterfield, Gainsborough, Mansfield and Retford. The population of the town was recorded at 44,733 in the 2021 Census.
