Johnston railway station is an unstaffed railway station in the village of Johnston in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It opened in 1856 as part of the final section of the South Wales Railway main line from Haverfordwest to Neyland. It has gone by various names and is now operated by Transport for Wales Rail. Train stops are made at the station by request only. The station was the junction for trains to Neyland and also the branch line to Milford Haven. Johnston is the penultimate stop on the West Wales Line before Milford Haven.

Johnston is a village, parish and community in the former hundred of Roose, Pembrokeshire, Wales, and a parish in the diocese of Diocese of St David's. It lies on the A4076 road approximately midway between Haverfordwest and the port of Milford Haven and is served by Johnston railway station. Until the end of the 19th century, anthracite was mined here. The village is now a dormitory for Haverfordwest and Milford Haven. The parish church has the typical tall, slim castellated tower of churches in the largely English-speaking south of Pembrokeshire, sometimes known as "Little England beyond Wales". The village is just over 1 mile long and almost a mile wide from the furthest main points.

The Benton Fault is a geological fault in southern Pembrokeshire in Wales that was active as a normal fault during the deposition of the Old Red Sandstone during the Devonian period, forming a thick half graben. During the Carboniferous, the Benton Fault was strongly inverted as part of the Variscan Orogeny.

Haroldston St Issells is a former parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales, on the upper reaches of the Western Cleddau, 1 mile (1.6 km) southeast of Haverfordwest. Its area is 1,104 acres (447 ha); Haroldston church is co-located with Lower Haroldston and is a small attractive building. Haroldston ruins and Lower Haroldston can both be viewed from a circular walk along the banks of the Cleddau. Haroldston and other places in the parish are preserved as historic place names by the Royal Commission.

Merlin's Bridge (Welsh: Bont Myrddin or Pont Fadlen) is a village and a community south of, and contiguous with, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, on the A4076 to Milford Haven. Merlin's Bridge has its own elected community council which meets monthly, and is an electoral ward to Pembrokeshire County Council, electing one county councillor. The community had a population of 2,202 in the 2011 census.The village has a community centre, a post office and a creamery.

Pembrokeshire College is a further education college with a campus in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in Wales.The College provides full-time vocational education and A-level programmes for students aged 14–19 and a variety of part-time courses for adult learners and employers. The total number of enrolled students in full and part-time education is about 14,500. The College also offers NVQs and other accredited programmes, as well as the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification. Certain courses, are funded by the Welsh Assembly Government.The College canteen, known as 'the refectory' is franchised out to Chartwell's.

Freystrop is a village, parish and community in Pembrokeshire, Wales, 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Haverfordwest.

Tasker Milward Voluntary Controlled School was a secondary school in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, that taught through the medium of English. It had 750 students in 2016, significantly fewer than in 2009, when there were 1,100. It was ranked red by the Welsh government categorisation scheme in 2015, but made considerable improvements in 2016. The Sixth Form was a member of the "Haverfordwest federation", which linked it with Sir Thomas Picton School and Pembrokeshire College. The school closed in 2018 when it merged with Sir Thomas Picton School to form Haverfordwest High VC School.

Haverfordwest Priory is the name of an electoral ward in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It covers the southern edge of the town of Haverfordwest, mostly west of the river but including Haverfordwest railway station at its eastern extreme, the Haverfordwest Priory from which it takes its name and the residential areas bounded by Freeman's Way and surrounding the Pembrokeshire College campus. The ward elects a councillor to Pembrokeshire County Council. Priory ward also elects four community councillors to Haverfordwest Town Council.According to the 2011 UK Census the population of the ward was 2,496 (with 1,971 of voting age).

Haverfordwest power station supplied electricity to the town of Haverfordwest, Wales and the surrounding area from 1931 to the late 1960s. It was initially owned and operated by the West Cambrian Power Company Limited, then by the British Electricity Authority following nationalisation in 1948. It comprised diesel engines driving electricity alternators.

St Mary's Church is an Anglican church in the centre of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, prominently visible at the top of the town's High Street. The church dates from the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building

Haverfordwest Castle is the name of an electoral ward in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It covers the centre of the town of Haverfordwest west of the river including the High Street, Winch Lane and north along Crowhill Road. It elects a councillor to Pembrokeshire County Council. Castle ward also elects three community councillors to Haverfordwest Town Council.According to the 2011 UK Census the population of the ward was 2,301 (with 1,855 of voting age).
