Duders Point

O'Neill's Point Cemetery is a historic cemetery and reserve located in Bayswater, New Zealand. It is a 3.4 hectare tract of land that extends from Bayswater Ave, down to the shore of Shoal Bay. Across from it is Bayswater Park. There is a walking and cycling track that runs beside the cemetery that connects Bayswater to Takapuna and Devonport to the north and south respectively. Built in 1891, O'Neill's acted as a second-generation cemetery to the Mount Victoria Cemetery in Devonport after this site raised health and safety concern for its proximity to the local residences. The cemetery is listed on the Heritage New Zealand List as a category 1 heritage site. It is noted as particularly significant as it contains the final resting place of many prominent early New Zealanders as well as WWI veterans of Pacific and Māori background who were trained at Narrowneck Camp.

Stanley Point (previously Stanley Bay) is a small suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located near Devonport, another suburb. It is mostly residential. The Devonport Naval Base lies to the east of the bay on the south side of the Stanley Bay peninsula and is connected to storage facilities on the north side at Ngataringa Bay by a tunnel.

The Navy Health Unit (previously known as the Navy Hospital or the Royal New Zealand Navy Hospital (RNZNH)) is the healthcare facility of the New Zealand Navy. It is located in Devonport, on Devonport Naval Base in Auckland. The hospital specialises in surgery and hyperbaric treatment.

HMNZS Philomel is the main administrative naval base of the Royal New Zealand Navy. Originally a training base on board the cruiser it takes its name from, it is part of the Devonport Naval Base in North Shore City, Auckland, New Zealand.

Bayswater is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It lies on a peninsula which juts into the Waitemata Harbour. Politically the suburb is part of the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board and the North Shore ward of Auckland Council.

Belmont is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. The name Belmont, which means "good view or hill", derives from a farm estate called "Belmont" which was subdivided in 1885. The suburb is in the North Shore ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council.

Devonport Naval Base is the home of the Royal New Zealand Navy, located at Devonport, New Zealand on Auckland's North Shore. It is currently the only base of the navy that operates ships, and has been in use as a navy base since 1841. The base consists of HMNZS Philomel (the administration centre for the base), the Fleet Support Organisation, and the Fleet Personnel and Training Organisation.

The Calliope Dock is a historical stone dry dock on the grounds of the Devonport Naval Base, in Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand. It was built in 1888 to service ships of the British Royal Navy, and is still in use today. As built it measured 525 ft (160 m) by 110 ft (34 m), narrowing to 80 ft (24 m) at the gate. The water on the sill was 33 ft (10 m) deep. It was extended in 1936, 1943 (to 185 m (607 ft)) and again in 1996.

Belmont Intermediate School is a state coeducational intermediate school located in Belmont on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It was established in 1957. Contributing schools include: Devonport Primary Vauxhall Primary Stanley Bay Primary Hauraki Primary St. Leos Belmont Primary Bayswater Primary.Pupils attend for years seven and eight. As of 2007 there were just over 500 pupils enrolled. At the end of year eight the majority of students move to Takapuna Grammar School, which is located next door. School facilities include a technology block, ICT suite, school hall, information centre and a learning support centre. The grounds are extensive and numerous groups make use of its facilities during the weekends.

Narrow Neck is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of the Auckland Council. Until the mid-19th century, Devonport was connected with the rest of the North Shore by a causeway between Ngataringa Bay and the Hauraki Gulf. This causeway gave the appearance of a "narrow neck". On the eastern side of this strip of land is the Narrow Neck beach, on the western side there was an extensive mangrove swamp.In the late 19th century the majority of this mangrove swamp was drained and filled in creating land used as a racecourse until the 1930s and subsequently a golf course. In the World Wars the area was used for a military training camp. From 1927 until the mid-1930s a Royal New Zealand Navy ammunition storage facility was located in the suburb; the munitions were moved to the Kauri Point Armament Depot from 1937. Close to the western edge of the reclaimed area a new road was put through creating a more direct link between Devonport and Takapuna.

Shoal Bay (Māori: Oneoneroa) is a bay of the Waitematā Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located on the North Shore.

Takarunga / Mount Victoria the highest volcano on Auckland's North Shore, rising to 66 m. Its age is currently unknown. Its lava flows now line much of Devonport's waterfront. Takarunga was the location of an important pā used by Tāmaki Māori peoples. In the late 19th century, a gun fort was built on top of the hill, in order to defend the city of Auckland. As a designated tūpuna maunga, the mountain has been governed by the Tūpuna Maunga Authority, along with thirteen other cones throughout Auckland, since 2014.
