The Richards DAR House is a historic house museum in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The Italianate style house was completed in 1860 for Charles and Caroline Richards. It is a contributing property to the De Tonti Square Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 1972. The four Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) chapters in Mobile jointly operate and maintain the house. It is noted by architectural historians as one of Mobile's best preserved and elaborate examples of mid-19th century domestic architecture.

The De Tonti Square Historic District is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 1972. It is a nine-block area, roughly bounded by Adams, St. Anthony, Claiborne, and Conception Streets. The district covers 28 acres (0.11 km2) and contains 66 contributing buildings. It was named in honor of Henri de Tonti and consists mainly of townhouses built between 1840 and 1860. It includes numerous examples of the Federal, Greek Revival, and Italianate architectural styles.

The Mobile Federal Courthouse is a United States courthouse in Mobile, Alabama, U. S. The courthouse is the home of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama as well as the United States Marshals Service. Planning for the courthouse began in the early 2000s, and an initial design covering two city blocks was scrapped due to budget cuts. The courthouse opened on July 16, 2018, on a site across St. Louis Street from the John Archibald Campbell U. S. Courthouse. The façade of the new courthouse was built of limestone from the same quarry in Russellville, Alabama, that was used for the Archibald Courthouse 80 years prior.

The two generals met several miles north of Mobile on May 2. After agreeing to a 48-hour truce, the generals enjoyed an al fresco luncheon of food, drink, and lively music. Canby offered Taylor the same terms agreed upon between Lee and Grant at Appomattox. Taylor accepted the terms and surrendered his command on May 4 at Citronelle, Alabama.Considered one of the Gulf Coast's cultural centers, Mobile has several art museums, a symphony orchestra, professional opera, professional ballet company, and a large concentration of historic architecture. Mobile is known for having the oldest organized Carnival or Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States. Alabama's French Creole population celebrated this festival from the first decade of the 18th century. Beginning in 1830, Mobile was host to the first formally organized Carnival mystic society to celebrate with a parade in the United States. (In New Orleans, such a group is called a krewe.)

MOBICON is an annual fan convention held in Mobile, AL. Named for an earlier convention known formally as the Mobile Comic Art and Science Fiction Festival, MOBICON was re-founded in 1998 and its membership has steadily grown since its inception. MOBICON is a multigenre convention with a broad focus on many aspects of popular culture, fandom including science fiction, fantasy, gaming, movies, anime, horror, art, and comics. Every year actors, authors, artists and their fans come from all over the world to interact with each other and participate in unique events pertaining to their favorite obsession. A portion of MOBICON's proceeds benefit a charity that is chosen each year by its Board of Directors.

The John Archibald Campbell United States Courthouse, also known as the United States Court House and Custom House, is a historic courthouse and former custom house in Mobile, Alabama. It was completed in 1935. An addition to the west was completed in 1940. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 8, 2008.The courthouse was designed to house the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama and the United States Customs Service. The customs service later vacated the building and the courts expanded into their space. This building replaced an earlier antebellum-era structure that served the city and region.The building is built in an austere blending of the Renaissance Revival and Art Deco styles. The façade is clad in white limestone with a granite base.

The Joseph Jossen House, also known as the World Trade Building, is a historic house in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The 2+1⁄2-story, brick, Queen Anne–style structure was built in 1906 for Joseph Jossen. Jossen was the local agent for the F.W. Cook Brewing Company, a beer brewing company based out of Evansville, Indiana. The Mobile distribution branch was established by him at 19 South Commerce Street in 1884. Additionally, Jossen was involved in the general liquor trade. In later years the house was adapted for reuse as the local international trade center. During this period the front porch was infilled and a two-story stuccoed addition was added to the rear elevation. As of 2009, the building was occupied by a title insurance company. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1992.

The International Longshoreman's Association Hall is a historic labor union meeting hall in Mobile, Alabama. The International Longshoremen's Association established the Mobile chapter in 1936 in order to represent the city's African American longshoremen. The hall was built in 1949 in the Art Moderne style. Many prominent African-American entertainers performed in its auditorium. It became a gathering place during the Civil Rights Movement. On January 1, 1959, it became the only place in Mobile to host a speaking engagement by Martin Luther King Jr. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2011.

Aimwell Baptist Church is a historic African American church in Mobile, Alabama. The Baptist congregation was established in 1890 by two brothers. It took two years for the erection of the first building. The current building, with Gothic Revival influences, was designed in 1946 by Nathaniel Heningburg and incorporates elements from the original structure. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2008.

Stone Street Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church in Mobile, Alabama. The congregation was established well before the American Civil War, with Stone Street Baptist recognized today as one of Alabama's most influential African-American Baptist churches. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1985.
