Alfred Paull House

The Weir Engine House is a historic fire station located at 530 Weir Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1889 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is one of two stations in the city, along with the Whittenton Fire and Police Station designed by Taunton's second fire chief, Abner Coleman. It was built by contractor James T. Bassett.The building is a 2-1/2 story brick structure, with a rear ell and a hose-drying tower. It is covered by a hip roof with large central gabled wall dormer at the front. The station has three equipment bays with segmented-arch granite lintels. Above the outer bays are single sash windows with granite sills and lintels. The second-story central bay has a group of three sash windows, above which, in the gable, are three similar but truncated windows, with a field of scalloped wood shingles above. The building's design is similar to that of the Whittenton Station, which was built at the same time.The station houses the city's Engine 3, weir police precinct, and a community police substation. In addition to both the fire and police quarters, the station formerly included a neighborhood library. The Weir Engine house is one of four 19th century fire stations still in use by the City of Taunton Fire Department, along with Central, Whittenton and East Taunton.

The Cohannet Mill No. 3 is an historic textile mill located at 120 Ingell Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. The mill was built in 1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It is the only remaining mill of the Cohannet Mills company, founded in 1847 for the manufacture of fine cotton yarns. The site has been cleaned up and restored and is now known as "Robertson on the River", with 64 affordable, loft-style apartments and 18,000 square feet (1,700 m2) of business space.

The Stone House is an historic house at 15-17 Plain Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. Built in 1847, this 2+1⁄2-story stone structure is one of only two stone houses built in Taunton in the 19th century. Its walls are fashioned out of coursed granite, and it has a single-story porch across its front facade, supported by stone piers. It was operated as a hostelry for seamen in the employ of some of Taunton's shipping magnates.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The William Lawrence House is a historic house at 101 Somerset Avenue in Taunton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1860 by local carpenter Abel Burt for William Lawrence, a salesman. It is a two-story roughly square wood-frame structure, with a mansard roof topped by a cupola. The main entrance is set in a round-arch opening with a transom window, and its front porch features chamfered posts. The house contains a unique mix of Italianate elements, such as its square plan, large cupola and bracketed eaves, combined with Second Empire elements such as its unusual Mansard roof with ogee curve sides and pronounced dormers.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Capt. David Vickery House is an historic house at 33 Plain Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. It is a 1+1⁄2-story brick structure, five bays wide, with a side gambrel roof. It has Federal style framing around its front windows, with granite lintels beneath windows on the side elevation. The house was built c. 1795 by David Vickery, a captain of seafaring ships who traveled as far as the West Indies. It is a rare surviving brick gambrel from the Federal period, and also rare for its connection to the city's maritime trade.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Old Weir Stove Company was an historic industrial facility located on West Water Street in Weir Village, Taunton, Massachusetts. The factory consisted of a series of connected brick buildings, located between West Water Street and the west bank of the Taunton River. The factory was built in 1902 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It was later occupied by F.B. Rogers Silver Company. In May–June 2009, the site was demolished, except for the northernmost building of the complex.The Weir Stove Company was originally located on the west side of West Water Street, but expanded to this site in 1902. The company was later known as the Glenwood Stove Company. The company produced a stove called the "Glenwood Range", and contributed to the city's prominence as a leading center of stove manufacturing. The buildings were built using fairly typical period mill construction and styling, with load-bearing brick walls, low-pitch gable roofs, and arched paired windows. The complex was the largest and most impressive in the Weir Village area.

Weir Village (also known as "The Weir") is a village of the city of Taunton in Bristol County, Massachusetts, located about one mile south of the city center on the banks of the Taunton River, near the point where it becomes tidal. The village takes its name from fishing weirs which were placed across the Taunton River from pre-colonial times until the early 20th century, to catch herring (also known as "alewifes"). While much of the commercial part of the village lies on the west side of the river, along Weir Street , a dense residential area extends in an easterly direction across the river along Plain and Berkley Streets.

The Barnum School is a historic elementary school located on Barnum Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. It was designed by architect George W. Briggs and built in 1926 to replace a previous school on the site that had burned. When it opened, the Barnum School was considered the most modern in school design in an era of continuing educational reform. It is a two-story brick structure with Colonial Revival styling. The front facade has three sections, with two bays of brick paneling (apparently filling locations where there may have originally been windows) flanking the main entrance, which is set in a round-arch opening in a projecting gable-topped vestibule. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The school closed in June 2013.
