Walker School

The Dean-Barstow House is a historic house located at 275 Williams Street in Taunton, Massachusetts. It was built circa 1810 for Joseph Dean. The house was constructed from lumber planned and finished at Dean's sawmill located nearby. Joseph Dean, a descendant of Walter Dean, one of Taunton's first settlers, was a prosperous farmer and landowner known for his service in the American Revolution and also as a commander during Shays' Rebellion in 1786.The house features a central chimney and gabled eaves and is typical of early 18th century New England vernacular construction, although it was built during the Federal Period. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Cotley River is a small river in Taunton and Berkley, Massachusetts that is a tributary of the Taunton River. It flows approximately 5.8 miles (9.2 km) in a northwesterly direction from the southeast part of Taunton near Seekell Street to Barstows Pond near the village of East Taunton where it joins the Taunton River.The river is crossed twice in Berkley by allen fredericks active railroad line that was originally built as the Taunton and New Bedford Railroad in 1840. It is now operated by CSX.

Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School is a vocational high school located in Taunton, Massachusetts, United States, that has been in operation since September 1972. Bristol-Plymouth is one of the three high schools in the city of Taunton, and enrolls roughly 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12. The school draws students from the towns and cities of Bridgewater, Raynham, Berkley, Taunton, Rehoboth, Middleboro, and Dighton. Because it is considered to be its own school district, it has an on-site superintendent as well as a principal and vice principal. The school colors are dark blue, light blue and silver. The athletic teams are known as the Craftsmen In 2017 the Bristol-Plymouth Football team came in first place in the Mayflower Athletic Conference.

East Taunton station is an under-construction MBTA Commuter Rail station in East Taunton, Massachusetts adjacent to the interchange between the Route 24 expressway and County Street (Route 140). It is planned to open in mid-2024 as part of the first phase of the South Coast Rail project. A former East Taunton station, located to the east on a different line, was served by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad and several predecessors until 1927. In 2009, South Coast Rail planning identified Taunton Depot, just north of Middleborough Junction (Cotley Junction), as a preferred station site. A 2017 re-evaluation of the project recommended an interim route through Middleborough, with East Taunton station located just south of the junction. A construction contract was issued in 2020.

The Silver City Galleria was an enclosed, two-level, super-regional mall located off Route 24 and Route 140 in Taunton, Massachusetts, United States. It covered a leasable area of over 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2), and served multiple cities and towns in the region. It was demolished in 2021. The mall's facilities included 120 retail stores, 8 anchors, 33 customer services, a ten-screen cinema, 6 sit-down restaurants, 6 specialty eateries, an arcade, a food court, a center court, and a children's play area. IPC International managed security, and UGL's Unicco managed facilities services.Anchor tenants included Sears, JCPenney, Macy's, Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Regal Cinemas, Lechmere and Round One Entertainment. The mall also planned for a Jordan Marsh to be added between the cinema and Filene's (later Macy's). The plan for the Jordan Marsh was scrapped after Macy's bought the company. An empty hallway with a window at the end of it on the second floor is where the Jordan Marsh was going to be.

East Taunton Fire Station is a historic fire station located on Middleboro Avenue in the East Taunton section of Taunton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1899 to replace a rented facility that housed the Old Colony Engine Company. It is a two-story brick building, five bays wide, with a hip roof. The rightmost three bays project forward, with a cross-gable hip roof, with the rightmost bays housing engines, and the left bay of the projection providing the main pedestrian entry. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is occupied by the Taunton Fire Department's Engine 9, Forestry 1, and the Taunton Police "East Taunton Precinct".

Wat Nawamintararachutis (Thai: วัดนวมินทรราชูทิศ) is a working Thai Theravada Buddhist temple or "wat" in Raynham, Massachusetts, which is about 45 minutes south of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It is one of only a handful of Thai Buddhist temples in the United States with actual Thai Buddhist monks in residence. Constructed on 35 acres (140,000 m2) previously occupied by a farm, it opened its doors to the public in June 2014. It is one of two Thai temples in Massachusetts; the other one is Wat Boston Buddha Vararam.

The Forge River is a 5.1-mile-long (8.2 km) river in the town of Raynham in southeastern Massachusetts. It is a tributary of the Taunton River. It rises from Gushee Pond near Interstate 495 and flows northwest through Titicut Swamp, then turns southwest for the rest of its course. It flows through Hewitt Pond, passes the neighborhood of Tracy Corner, then continues through Johnson Pond and the village of Raynham Center to its junction with the Taunton River.

The Beer Can Museum, located in East Taunton, Massachusetts, is a collection of more than 5,000 different beer cans, along with beer can folk art and crafts, beer can clothing, beer can telephones and radios, and a beer can and breweriana related library. In November 2013, it was included in Travel & Leisure's list of 'America's Strangest Museums.'

The Old Colony Iron Works-Nemasket Mills Complex is a historic industrial site located on Old Colony Avenue in the East Taunton section of Taunton, Massachusetts, United States, adjacent to the Taunton River at the Raynham town line. The site was first occupied by the Old Colony Iron Company, which had originally been established in the 1820s as Horatio Leonard & Company. The western part of the complex was sold to Nemasket Mills in 1889. The eastern part was acquired by the Standard Oil Cloth Company. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Taunton High School (often abbreviated THS) is located within a large, three-floor, interconnected, multi-block complex in the eastern section of Taunton, Massachusetts, United States. It is an urban public high school with an estimated average student enrollment of 3,000 students. It offers many student-oriented services, specialty academic programs, extra-curricular clubs, various after-school programs and a wide array of scholastic sports. Taunton High School is one of the largest high schools in New England, and is the 4th largest in Massachusetts, behind Brockton, Lowell, and New Bedford. The main section of the building is divided into four different "houses" in which different classes are held, along with an associate headmaster's office in each, and the main headmaster's office in the middle. One of the houses in the main building complex once contained a public middle school, John F. Parker Middle School, until 2009 where, during a total renovation of the entire school, a fifth, exterior wing was added to the front of the school to house the displaced middle school students. Adjacent to school is the fine arts house, Robert H. Park Auditorium, which currently holds seating capacities up to 1,500 people, and beneath that the music rooms, dressing rooms, and storage. The school also shares a two-leveled gymnasium with Parker Middle School, where most of the indoor sports teams perform and a "pep rally" is held in the fall. The school's field house is one of the largest gymnasiums in New England, capable of holding both indoor track meets and basketball tournaments.
