Saibaba colony is an area located in Coimbatore, India. The Saibaba Temple is located there, and the name of the area is derived from the temple. The locality is mostly occupied by upper-middle-class people living in Coimbatore. One side is bordered by Thadagam road and the other side by Mettupalayam Road. NSR road in Sai Baba colony is fully occupied by commercial centers.

Nanjundeswarar Temple is a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva in Karamadai, a village in Coimbatore district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, It is located 96 km from Erode. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is believed to have been built during the 16th century CE. In this temple, Shiva is worshipped as Nanjundeswarar and his consort Parvathi as Ulaganayagi. The temple is open from 6 am–12 pm and 4–8:30 pm on all days except during new moon days when it is open the full day. Four daily rituals and three yearly festivals are held at the temple, of which the Shivaratri festival during the Tamil month of Vaiakasi (May–June) and Annabishekam in Aippasi (October–November) being the most prominent. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Ranganathaswamy temple (also called Karamadai Temple) in Karamadai, a town panchayat in Coimbatore district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is located 23 km from Coimbatore in the Coimbatore–Mettuplayam highway. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Ranganathaswamy and his consort Lakshmi as Ranganayaki in this temple. It is considered one among the 108 Abhimana Kshethram of Vaishnavate tradition. As per Hindu legend, the face of Ranganatha was found under an anthill in the place where the Kattariyar tribe was residing. A granite wall surrounds the temple, enclosing all its shrines. The temple has a seven-tiered rajagopuram, the temple's gateway tower. The temple follows the Tenkalai tradition of worship. Four daily rituals and many yearly festivals are held at the temple, of which the fifteen-day annual Brahmotsavam during the Tamil month of Maasi (February–March), Vaikunta Ekadasi and Ramanuja Jayanti being the most prominent. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Karamadai is a town located near Mettupalayam, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on Coimbatore - Ooty NH 67. Nearby places are Teachers colony, Press Colony, Jodhipuram and Periyanaickenpalayam. The Ranganathaswamy temple and Nanjundeswarar temple are the most prominent landmarks in the town. The place of Karamadai came into limelight due to the presence of ex-steel giant Sri Ramakrishna Steel Industries.

India's largest textile machinery manufacturer Lakshmi Machine Works is situated in Perianaickenpalayam.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, is an educational centre of Ramakrishna Mission. It is 19 km from Coimbatore City on the highway to Ootacamund, and is situated in an environment spread over about 300 acres. The Institution was founded by Sri T.S. Avinashilingam in 1930 with an investment of just Rs. 5.75 and with one harijan boy on its roll. Mahatma Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the Vidyalaya in 1934. The Vidyalaya was affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission in the same year. The public celebration of the birthday of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, popularly known as Guru Puja, is the most important annual cultural activity of the Vidyalaya. The day-long celebration, observed on the first Sunday of every year, includes bhajans, talks by eminent personalities, drama, educational exhibition, music and cultural programmes. The highlight of the function is the Maheswara Puja, i.e. feeding of about 10,000 people at noon. The Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Polytechnic College was founded in 1956 as a wing of the Rural Institute, called the School of Engineering, under the National Council for Rural Higher Education. It is an institution of the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya In 1974, the Institute was affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Government of Tamil Nadu. In 2010 the Polytechnic was certified as an ISO 9001 2000 institute.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore is a group of educational institutions with 19 wings offering courses from pre-school to doctoral levels. The Vidyalaya was established in 1930 in the suburbs of Coimbatore, India, and affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission in 1934.
