Sigourney Street station

The Imlay and Laurel Streets District is a residential historic district on portions of Imlay, Laurel, Hawthorn and Sigourney Streets in Hartford, Connecticut. The area is a densely built residential neighborhood developed between about 1870 and 1895, with predominantly brick Italianate and Queen Anne construction. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

83–85 Sigourney Street in Hartford, Connecticut was an Italianate style double brick house. Built in 1865, it was the oldest surviving residential building on the southern part of Sigourney Street in the city's Asylum Hill neighborhood. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, at a time when there were no known threats to the building. A modern building, housing the former Connecticut Culinary Institute, was built on the site in 1981 and now stands at 85 Sigourney Street; it is the Hartford campus of the Lincoln Culinary Institute, and is part of the Lincoln Group of Schools.

Aetna Diner, also known as Comet Diner, Hog River Grille, and Dishes, is a historic diner located at 267 Farmington Avenue in the Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford, Connecticut. Built in 1947 by Paramount Diners and assembled in 1948, the diner was prefabricated from stainless steel. Aetna Diner was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The James Pratt Funeral Service was a historic house at 69 Farmington Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. Built in 1860, it was one of the few surviving mid-19th-century houses on a once-residential stretch of that street. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was subsequently demolished, and the property is now part of the Aetna campus.

The house at 36 Forest Street, sometimes called the Burton House in Hartford, Connecticut, United States, is a wooden Shingle Style structure built in the late 19th century and largely intact today. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Originally it was built on land that had been transferred to a local insurance company by developers of the surrounding affluent Nook Farm neighborhood. They had been unable to make their mortgage payments, and so the lot was subdivided from one of their own properties. Later it was sold to one of the wealthy families that first settled the Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford. Most of the other houses from that time on Forest Street have been demolished to clear the way for newer construction, primarily apartment buildings. It is one of the few 19th-century houses left on the street. Currently it is rented out as apartments.

The Laurel and Marshall Streets District is a historic district encompassing a late-19th and early-20th century residential area in the Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford, Connecticut. Extending along Laurel and Marshall Streets between Niles and Case Streets, its housing stock represents a significant concentration of middle-class Queen Anne architecture in the city. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford, Connecticut, United States, is the mother church and seat of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Dedicated on May 15, 1962, it stands on the site of the old cathedral which had been destroyed in a fire. It is located on Farmington Avenue just outside downtown Hartford. In 1979, the cathedral was included as a contributing property in the Asylum Avenue District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Asylum Avenue District encompasses the institutional core of the Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford, Connecticut. Located just west of Downtown Hartford across Interstate 84, it includes four churches, a school, and a handful of adjacent 19th-century residences. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Archdiocese of Hartford is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church in Hartford, Litchfield and New Haven counties in the U.S. State of Connecticut. The archdiocese includes about 470,000 Catholics, more than 500 priests, 216 parishes and almost 300 deacons. This is roughly one-half the population of the three counties. The Archdiocese of Hartford is a metropolitan see.

The Ambassador Apartments is an historic residential complex at 206–210 Farmington Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. Completed in 1921, it is a significant local example of Renaissance Revival architecture, designed by the prominent local firm of Berenson and Moses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Hartford Public High School, in Hartford, Connecticut, was founded in 1638. It is the second-oldest public secondary school in the United States, after the Boston Latin School. It is part of the Hartford Public Schools district.

The Harriet Beecher Stowe House is a historic house museum and National Historic Landmark at 73 Forest Street in Hartford, Connecticut that was once the home of Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of the 1852 novel Uncle Tom's Cabin. Stowe lived in this house for the last 23 years of her life. It was her family's second home in Hartford. The 5,000 sq ft (460 m2) cottage-style house is located adjacent to the Mark Twain House and is open to the public. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2013.
