Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway, formerly the Classic Amphitheater, is a 6,000-seat outdoor concert venue located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. It is adjacent to the Richmond Raceway.

Forest Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum is a cemetery located at 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, Virginia. The cemetery was established in 1922. Previously it was the estate of John Carter and was known as Myrtle Grove Plantation. John Carter's grave and headstone and those of his relations living with him at Myrtle Grove are still intact among the newer headstones of Forest Lawn. Also, many of the street names within Forest Lawn include references to this origin, including Carter Lane and Myrtle Grove Lane. Forest Lawn Cemetery was acquired in August 2013, by StoneMor Partners LP.

The Emek Sholom Holocaust Memorial Cemetery was built in 1955 and is located within Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. "Emek Sholom" translates into English as "Valley of Peace."The Cemetery's website has their mission statement, brief history, photos, cemetery map, and hosts the annual "Never Again" Scholarship essays.

The Highland Park Plaza Historic District is a national historic district located at Highland Park, Richmond, Virginia. The district encompasses 1,005 contributing buildings located north of downtown Richmond and east of Barton Heights and Brookland Park. The primarily residential area developed starting in the late-19th century as one of the city's early "streetcar suburbs." It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Washington Park is a neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia's North Side. The neighborhood lies west of the Forest Lawn Cemetery and the Richmond Raceway.

The Chamberlayne Industrial Center, sometimes simply known as Chamberlayne is a heavy industry district within the boundaries of Richmond, Virginia's North Side region. The neighborhood contains a mixture of residential, commercial industrial-zoned areas, but most of the residential and commercial buildings are in the eastern corner of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is named after Chamberlayne Avenue (U.S. Route 1) which serves as the spine for the neighborhood. Chamberlayne lies just north of Interstate 64, Virginia Commonwealth University's Monroe Park campus, and the Carver neighborhood. It is southeast of Virginia Union University.

Highland Park Public School is a historic school building located in Richmond, Virginia. The structure was built in 1909 based on a design by noted Virginia architect Charles M. Robinson. The Mediterranean Revival building is a two-story brick and stucco structure topped by hipped roofs clad with terra cotta tiles. In its use of the Mediterranean Revival style, the building was a departure from the Georgian and Gothic styles commonly used in Virginia school buildings of the time. The building used as the community school for Highland Park, Virginia, until the community was annexed by the City of Richmond in 1914. It served thereafter as a neighborhood school in the Richmond public school system until it closed in the 1970s. The building is considered to be important as an example of the work of Charles M. Robinson, who served as Richmond School Board architect from 1909 to 1930. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. The building was converted from 1990 to 1991 into a residential apartment complex for senior citizens and re-opened under the name Brookland Park Plaza.

Richmond Community High School (RCHS) is an alternative high school operated by the Richmond City Public Schools in Richmond, Virginia, United States. It was founded in 1977 as America's first full-time, four year, public high school for academically talented students primarily from minority and low-income families. Richmond Community High School admits applicants from within the city limits who are identified as academically gifted, with a preference for socio-economically challenged students. Virtually all graduates continue to college.

Green Park is a small neighborhood of approximately 240 homes located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. The neighborhood is within the boundaries of the North Side of the city limits. Community landmarks include the Cannon Creek Greenway, a bike/walking trail which will eventually join the East Coast Greenway, Hotchkiss Field, and historic St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, which is the home parish of Senator Tim Kaine and his family.

The Battle of Meadow Bridge (also known as Meadow Bridges and the Battle of Richmond Heights) was an engagement on May 12, 1864, in Henrico County, Virginia, during Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant's Overland Campaign of the American Civil War. Following their victory at the Battle of Yellow Tavern on May 11, Union cavalry under Maj. Gen. Philip H. Sheridan advanced in the direction of the Confederate capital of Richmond. Caught in the narrow area between the fortifications of Richmond and the rain-swollen Chickahominy River, the Union troopers were subjected to fire from the artillery of Confederate Maj. Gen. Fitzhugh Lee. Michigan cavalry under Brig. Gen. George A. Custer forced a crossing of a damaged railroad bridge, which was quickly rebuilt by engineers, allowing the troopers to escape to safety and continue their raid.

Pine Camp Hospital originally opened as Pine Camp Home for Consumptives, on 28 Nov 1910. It operated as a tuberculosis hospital from 1910 to 1957. The complex is located on Old Brook Road, near Ginter Park in Richmond, Virginia. Over time the original structures were replaced with a two-story Central Building (1932) and a one-story, Bungalow-style Administration Building (1932). Both buildings are constructed of structural tile covered with plaster. Also on the property is a contributing one-story, stuccoed masonry laundry and garage building (1922). After 1957 the property was converted for use as a recreation center.The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003."Pine Camp Open. New Tuberculosis Home Begins With Eight Patients. Pine Camp Home for Consumptives, on the Brook Road, about a mile beyond Ginter Park, was opened yesterday morning with eight inmates in attendance. Dr. Giles B. Cook, chief physician, and Miss Florence Black, the nurse in charge were there to take charge of the new arrivals, who were immediately made comfortable. There are many other applications for admission into the camp, but until certain details are worked out only who came in yesterday will be taken care of. The Lean-to as the building is called, is designed to accommodate twenty persons and it is expected to be full in a few weeks. Besides taking advance cases of tuberculosis, the camp is designed also to prevent the spread of the disease.
