Fenny Bentley

St Edmund's Church, Fenny Bentley is a Grade II* listed parish church in the Church of England in Fenny Bentley, Derbyshire.

The Woodeaves Canal (sometimes hyphenated as Wood-Eaves) was a short, privately owned canal near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. It was a short waterway, isolated from the rest of the United Kingdom canal network. In 1784 a cotton mill was constructed near Fenny Bentley, about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Ashbourne. The mill owners, Philip Waterfield, John Matchitt and John Cooper, negotiated a lease with landowner, Samuel Haslam, to construct a canal from the Bradbourne Brook to the mill. The canal was primarily designed to provide a water supply for the mill but under the terms of the lease, the mill owners could dig for limestone along the line of the canal and the waterway was used for transporting the stone. The canal opened in 1802 and was approximately 1.25 miles (2.01 km) in length. Although the mill continued in operation until 1908 the canal was believed to have fallen into disuse by 1846.

Tissington railway station is a disused British railway station near Tissington (grid reference SK177521), a village in Derbyshire near Ashbourne. It opened on 4 August 1899 and closed on 7 October 1963.

Thorpe Cloud railway station was opened in 1899 between the villages of Thorpe and Fenny Bentley in Derbyshire, south east of Buxton.

Queen Elizabeth's School (QEGS) is a non-selective academy school for 11- to 18-year-olds in the town of Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. In the academic year 2009–10, there were 1,396 pupils on roll. Both the main school and 6th form have in the past appeared within the top 25 in league tables, and in October 2008, Ofsted marked the school as "good" or "outstanding" in all sections. However in 2013 Ofsted marked the school as 'requires improvement' in 3 of the 4 categories. In 2009 the school celebrated 100 years at the Green Road site.

There is an annual event in which people jump off of the Mapleton Bridge to raise money for charity.

Ashbourne Hall is a Manor house originally built by the Cockayne family in the 13th century in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The present building is part of a largely demolished, Georgian-styled hall built in the 18th century.

Callow Hall Hotel is a house of historical significance in Derbyshire, England. It lies 0.5 mile west of the town of Ashbourne, within the civil parish of Mapleton. It was built from 1849 to 1852 by H. J. Stevens for John Goodwin Johnson, a local magistrate. It was a private residence for over a century and then became a hotel in 1982. It is still a hotel which provides accommodation and restaurant services and caters for special events particularly weddings. It is now a Grade II listed building.

Ashbourne Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Place, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England. The town hall, which is the meeting place of Ashbourne Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.
