St. Clairsville Historic District

The Belmont County Courthouse is located at 101 West Main Street in St. Clairsville, Ohio, United States. It sits on the highest point in the St. Clairsville area and is thus visible from Interstate 70 and many other points in the Ohio Valley. It is a contributing property in the St. Clairsville Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

The Red Devil Football team went to the State Finals in 2012 and lost, 46-36, to Clinton-Massie. In 2016, the Red Devil boys track & field team won the school's first-ever OHSAA state title, narrowly defeating Lexington, 33-31.

Ohio Valley Mall is a one-story enclosed shopping mall in Richland Township, outside St. Clairsville, Ohio. It was opened in 1978 and was developed by the Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Company, which continues to own and manage it. The mall currently has four open anchor stores which are Boscov's, Dunham's Sports, Marshalls, and Michaels. It contains more than 100 stores and services. The mall currently has two vacant anchor stores which were once Macy's and Sears.

The Opatrny Village Site is an ancient village site dating from AD 1000–1600. The site was inhabited by the Monongahela culture and is a contemporary with the Fort Ancient cultural way of life. The property was placed on the National Register on 1975-05-21. The extent of the site has not been fully determined as the artifacts lie in occupational debris over 1.5 feet thick. The site has been used as a pasture and remains largely intact. The property was placed to protect the integrity of the site from a highway project. Around 1980, an extensive excavation was carried out at Opatrny; the information that it yielded was seen as highly significant in understanding the ways that local cultures changed and developed their surrounding terrain.: 367–368  Despite its location along U.S. Route 40, the village remains less disturbed by modern development than most surrounding terrain.

Maynard is part of the Wheeling, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is near Wheeling Township and its sister community of Blainesville. Maynard is a part of the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District.

Although it is unincorporated, and at one point had a post office which was closed in recent years, with the ZIP code 43927. It lies along State Route 9. Fairpoint is part of the Wheeling, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.
