St. Albertus Roman Catholic Church

Plymouth Educational Center is a public K-8 charter school, located in the Vivian H. Ross Campus in Detroit, Michigan. It was formerly K-12.

The Sweetest Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church is located at 4440 Russell Street (at East Canfield Street) in Detroit, Michigan, in the Forest Park neighborhood on the city's central East side. The Gothic Revival cathedral styled church is the largest of the Roman Catholic churches in the City of Detroit. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It, along with St. Albertus Roman Catholic Church, 0.4 miles east on East Canfield Street, and St. Josaphat Roman Catholic Church, 0.3 miles west at East Canfield Street and Chrysler Drive, served the large Polish community through most of the twentieth century. In a diocesan reorganization instituted by Archbishop Allen Vigneron in 2013, Sweetest Heart of Mary joined with St. Josephat to form Mother of Divine Mercy Parish.

Northeastern High School was a public coeducational high school in Detroit, Michigan. It was a member of the Detroit Public Schools and was located on Grandy Street between Warren Avenue and Forest Avenue on the city's northeast side.The school competed athletically in the Detroit Public School League and was a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. In 1975, the school won the MHSAA girls state basketball championship.In early 1982, it was announced that Northeastern was one of 19 Detroit schools listed for closure. It closed later that year.Among the notable alumni of Detroit Northeastern High were NBA player Charles Edge (class of 1968) and playwright Ron Milner (class of 1956). Berry Gordy, the music mogul, also attended Northeastern high but dropped out in order to be a pro boxer. Everett Kircher (class of 1935), founder of Boyne Resorts.

Peacemakers International is a Christian ministry located at 5322 Chene St. in the Poletown East neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan. Pastored by Detroit native Steve Upshur, Peacemakers International hosts church services on Sunday evenings with the help of praise and worship teams from churches across Southeast Michigan and puts the rest of its efforts into its outreach to the area's poor, maintaining a large community garden to provide fresh produce to those in need and operating the halfway houses, Jesus House and Mercy House.

The Hook and Ladder House No. 5 and the Detroit Fire Department Repair Shop are two cojoined structures located at 3400 and 3434 Russell Street in Detroit, Michigan. The Hook and Ladder House No. 5 is the second oldest surviving fire station in Detroit, was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Convent and Rectory is a Roman Catholic church complex located at 1000 Eliot Street in Detroit, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Poletown East is an neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan, bordering the enclave city of Hamtramck. The area was named after the Polish immigrants who originally lived in the area. A portion of residential area known as Poletown became the General Motors Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly plant in 1981 with those residents relocated by General Motors and the cities of Detroit and Hamtramck which claimed eminent domain in order to make way for a new automobile plant.

The Lexus Velodrome is an indoor velodrome located at 601 Mack Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. It is operated by the Detroit Fitness Foundation, offering indoor roller skating, walking, running and weight lifting in addition to open track cycling, training and racing. Free children’s programs are offered, including free equipment rental. The 166 m (182 yd) track has 50 degree banked turns and 15 degree banked straights. The track opened in January 2018, on the former site of Tolan Playfield (named for Detroit native and double Olympic gold medalist Eddie Tolan). Track cycling competitions are held there regularly, including USA Cycling events. Madison racing is commonly offered. USAC announced that the Madison National Championships will be held at the Lexus Velodrome for 2021 through 2025.There is a bar located in the center of the track along with ticketed seating as well as general admission viewing. An announcer calls the racing action, which is sometimes broadcast on local PBS station Detroit Public TV.The velodrome is housed in a 64,000 sq. ft. inflated dome. In December 2021 the dome collapsed and was torn due to a sustained power outage and the failure of the backup generator system that powers the blowers that keep the dome inflated. The dome was repaired and re-inflated, reopening to the public in February 2022. The ET oval has two sections of track. One red, one green. The innermost red lane measures approximately 214M. While the innermost green lane measures approximately 226.5M. The surface is a smooth polished concrete where the walking, running, skating, and even the learn to ride classes take place.

The Engine House No. 11 is a fire station located at 2737 Gratiot Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It is the oldest remaining firehouse in the city of Detroit; it was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Detroit waste incinerator, also known as the Detroit Resource Recovery Facility and as Detroit Renewable Power was an American waste-to-energy plant that operated in Detroit, Michigan from 1989 until 2019. It was demolished from 2022 to 2023.

The St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Roman Catholic Church is a church located at 5818 Dubois Street in Detroit, Michigan. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Third Precinct Police Station (or Hunt Street Station) is a former police station located at 2200 Hunt Street (at Gratiot Avenue) in Detroit, Michigan. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It now holds a co-working space, known as "Hunt Street Station."
