Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park

Collagna is a frazione of the comune (municipality) of Ventasso in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) west of Bologna and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Reggio Emilia. It was a separate comune until 1 January 2016. Collagna borders the following municipalities: Busana, Comano, Fivizzano, Ligonchio, Ramiseto, Sillano.

The Alpe di Succiso (pronounced [ˈalpe di sutˈtʃiːzo]) is a mountain in the northern Apennines, located in the trait between the Cerreto and Lagastrello Passes, with an altitude of 2,017 m. It has a pyramidal appearance, carved by several gorges. The rivers Secchia and Enza, right affluences of the Po River, have their source in the Alpe di Succiso. The mountain is part of the National Park of the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano.

Santa Maria Assunta is a 12th-century Roman Catholic church building in the frazione of Borsigliana in the town limits of Piazza al Serchio, province of Lucca, region of Tuscany, Italy.

The 1920 Garfagnana earthquake (also known as the Lunigiana earthquake) occurred on 7 September in Garfagnana and Lunigiana, both agricultural areas in the Italian Tuscany region. The quake hypocenter was located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) beneath Villa Collemandina. The maximum felt intensity was rated as X (Extreme) on the Mercalli intensity scale, and 6.6 on the Richter magnitude scale. It was one of the most destructive seismic events recorded in the Apenninic region in the twentieth century. Due to good news coverage, availability of official documents on the damage and abundance of recordings from surveillance stations throughout Europe, it was regarded as a first-rate case study to improve knowledge of tectonics and macroseismic analysis.

Piazza al Serchio railway station (Italian: Stazione di Piazza al Serchio) is a railway station located in the Tuscany region of central Italy serving the comune of Piazza al Serchio. The station is located in the lower part of the village at an altitude of just under 500 m. It was opened on 21 April 1940.The station forms part of the Lucca–Aulla railway and is served exclusively by regional trains operated by Trenitalia, whilst the station itself is managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), both of which are subsidiaries of Italy's state-owned rail company Ferrovie dello Stato (FS). In memory of the steam locomotives that formerly operated on the Lucca–Aulla railway, an FS Class 940 locomotive is preserved at the station as a monument. A 15 m turntable that was used to rotate the steam locomotives is also still visible at the site.
