Papineau (formerly Papineau—Saint-Denis and Papineau—Saint-Michel) is a federal electoral district in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1948. Its population in 2016 was 110,750. Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada and Leader of the Liberal Party, has represented the riding since the 2008 federal election. Trudeau became Liberal leader in a 2013 leadership election, succeeding Bob Rae, and prime minister when the Liberals returned to government in the 2015 Canadian federal election, succeeding Conservative leader Stephen Harper. The name of the riding comes from a street in the Villeray neighbourhood, named after Joseph Papineau. At nine square kilometres, it covers the second smallest area of any federal riding in Canada after Toronto Centre. Linguistically, 45% of residents list French as their mother tongue, 8% list English, and 47% list neither English nor French, with large groups speaking Spanish, Italian, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Pashtu, Bengali, Greek and Arabic. Immigrants make up 40 percent of the riding's population.

Académie De Roberval is a small French high school located in Montreal, Quebec containing approximately over 550 students. It is a part of the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM).

Christophe Colomb Avenue (officially in French: avenue Christophe-Colomb) is a major north-south street in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It has a length of 8.5 kilometres (5.3 miles), and crosses the boroughs of Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension and Ahuntsic-Cartierville. The street is predominantly residential south of Villeray Street and is a large urban boulevard to the north. The street was named after Christopher Columbus on December 20, 1897. Christophe Colomb Avenue begins at Rachel Street, near Lafontaine Park in the south. It is an extension of Parc Lafontaine Street. It is interrupted by Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park between Laurier Avenue and Saint Grégoire Street for distance of 400 metres. In the north, the street ends at Gouin Boulevard, near Louis Hébert Park and the Rivière des Prairies.

Saint-Arsène Church (French: Église Saint-Arsène) is a church in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie in Montreal. Its address is 1015 Bélanger Street, at the corner of Christophe Colomb Avenue. Constructed in 1954 based on a design by architect Joseph-Armand Dutrisac, it distinguished itself with its ogival shaped belltower.

St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church (French: Église Saint-George Antiochian Orthodox) is a brick Antiochian Orthodox church in the Villeray neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Designed by architect Joseph-Raoul Gariépy, the church was constructed in 1939–40 to serve the Syrian Orthodox community in Montreal. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1999 as an important symbol of the history and traditions of this community in Canada.

Jean-Talon is a station of the Montreal Metro rapid transit system, operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). It is located in the Little Italy district on the border between the boroughs of Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie and Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.It is a transfer station between the Orange Line and Blue Line. The Orange Line station opened on October 14, 1966, as part of the original network of the Metro.

Jean Talon Street (officially in French: rue Jean-Talon) is one of the longest streets on the Island of Montreal. The National Circus School (French: École nationale de cirque) is a professional circus school located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is for higher education in the art of circus. The NCS also offers academic subjects at the secondary and college levels. It is one of the only circus school in the Americas to offer professional programs in circus arts: Preparatory program, Circus and High School Studies, and Higher Education in Circus arts. It also prepares professional circus arts educators.

Jean-Talon Market (French: Marché Jean-Talon) is a farmer's market in Montreal. Located in the Little Italy district, the market is bordered by Jean-Talon Street to the north, Mozart Ave. to the south, Casgrain Ave. to the west and Henri-Julien Ave. to the east. It contains two city-maintained streets both called Place du Marché du Nord. The market is located between the Jean-Talon and De Castelnau metro stations. It is the largest market in Montreal and the largest open-air market in North America.

Dante Park (French: Parc Dante) is a park in the Little Italy neighbourhood of the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It covers about one-third of a local city block, bordered by Dante Street to the north, Alma Street to the east, residential buildings to the south, and de Gaspe Street to the west. The park was inaugurated on June 26, 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the predominantly Italian Canadian parish of the Church of the Madonna della Difesa. It is located opposite the church. Dante Park was named for Dante Street, which itself was named for Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) a major Italian poet of the Late Middle Ages, who authored Divine Comedy, which is widely considered the most important poem of the Middle Ages and the greatest literary work in the Italian language.
