Broby Municipality

Nørre Broby, or simply Broby, is a small town in southwest-central Funen, Denmark, to the northeast of Haarby. It was the seat of Broby Municipality between 1970 and 2006 until the municipality was dissolved and merged with Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality. 1 January 2024 it had a population of 1,485. Nørre Broby Church (kirke), dated to around 1100, is located in the town. It also contains the Broby Library. It has a history of clover production, and farmers in the Nørre Broby area were already cultivating it in 1785.

Arreskov Lake (Danish: Arreskov Sø) is a lake in Funen, Denmark.

Arreskov is an ancient Danish manor with roots stretching back to the 13th century. It was first mentioned in historical records in 1210. The current structure represents the third incarnation of Arreskov, a testament to its pivotal role in Danish nobility and history. Situated in Øster Hæsinge Parish, Sallinge District, within Faaborg Municipality, Arreskov lies adjacent to Arreskov Lake. The manor has been the center of considerable historical interest, including being part of the County of Muckadell, established in 1784. Arreskov's main building, primarily dating from the mid-16th century, stands on land that has seen two prior manor locations. The estate's historical significance is also marked by King Valdemar the Victorious, who bequeathed Arreskov to his son Abel in 1241. However, it was destroyed during the subsequent civil war among Valdemar's sons and again in the unrest under King Erik Klipping. Later, the Crown took over the estate, likely building a fortified farmstead on the premises. The manor has also served various utilitarian roles throughout history, including being repurposed as a hospital during the Three Years' War from 1848 to 1850. Its cultural significance extends into the modern era, having been used as a filming location for the Danish film "Far til Fire - i stor stil" (Father of Four - In High Style), wherein the manor appears as a castle inherited by a character named Uncle Anders. Today, Arreskov remains owned by the Schaffalitzky de Muckadell family and is a part of the larger Muckadell estate, which includes other significant properties like Brobygård and Gelskov. It stands as a well-preserved example of a Danish noble estate, showcasing architecture from across centuries and reflecting an evolving history that continues to captivate visitors and historians alike.

Manheim is a heathen hof in Korinth in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, Denmark. The building opened in 2016 and is dedicated to the Norse gods. It is owned by the designer Jim Lyngvild, a practitioner of Heathenry.

Nybøllegård is a manor house in Funen, Denmark. It has been in the possession of a number of Danish noble families, including the Rosenkrantz and Bille families.

Brahetrolleborg (lit. 'Brahetrolle Castle') is a castle about 10 kilometres north-west of Fåborg on the Danish island of Fyn. Before the Reformation, the structure was a Cistercian monastery known as Holme Abbey (Danish: Holme Kloster; Latin: Insula Dei). After the reformation, the property was renamed Rantzausholm in 1568 before receiving its current name in 1667. The church dates to the 13th century, while the main structure was originally constructed in the 15th century. Significant extensions and refurbishments have changed the building since, altering its original romanesque style. The estate has been owned by the Reventlow family since 1722. It is currently owned by Catharina Reventlow-Mourier, the 9th generation of the family. Together with the neighboring Brændegård property, the estate covers a total of 2607 hectares, much of which is forest.

Bellinge is a village and parish in Denmark. It is situated southwest of Odense, and is a suburb of the city. As of 1 January 2023 the village has a population of 5,826.It is known for its church, Bellinge Kirke, with murals dating from 1496.

The State Prison at Søbysøgård is an open prison in Denmark, which is arranged at the Hall of Søby Søgård close to Årslev. The manor house was being used as a youth prison in 1933 but has been changed to an open prison in 1973. In 2003 The State Prison at Søbysøgård also got a half open section at the prison. The prison has a space for 134 inmates, of whom 26 are in the semi-open section. Prison places great emphasis on education of the inmates – It is possible to take preparatory adult education and adult education in the prison.

Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality (Danish: Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune; formerly Fåborg-Midtfyn) is a kommune in the Region of Southern Denmark in Denmark. It covers an area of 638 km² and has a total population of 52,253 (2023). On 1 January 2007 Faaborg-Midtfyn municipality was created as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), consisting of the former municipalities of Broby, Ringe, Aarslev, Ryslinge, and Faaborg.

Dyrup is a community and suburb of Odense, Denmark, along the green Odense River valley. Before the 1950s, Dyrup had approximately 700 inhabitants, was mostly rural and part of Sanderum municipality and parish. It is mentioned in 1497 as "Dyroppe", but is significantly older and shares its name with old Dyrupgård. Today, Dyrup has approximately 4,500 inhabitants, is part of Odense Municipality and has its own church. Dyrup consists of bungalows, villas and some semis built from the late 1960s until today. Most children in Dyrup attend Højmeskolen, which has adjacent swimming and indoor sports centres, football pitches, etc. To the west is an active commercial district. Also Manchester United Goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard was born here

Stenløse is a district in Odense, Denmark. It is located about 10 kilometers south of the urban center of Odense, at an average elevation of 32 meters above the sea level. As of the year 2022, the district had a population of 3,701.
