West Bromwich East (UK Parliament constituency)

Stone Cross is a residential area of West Bromwich in the metropolitan borough of Sandwell in the West Midlands of England. It is 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of the town centre, and is situated around the A4034 road that links West Bromwich and Walsall. To the southwest is Charlemont and Grove Vale and to the north is Friar Park. Stone Cross takes its name from a wayside cross which stood until the 1890s - a replica was unveiled in 2002. It was a largely rural area until the late 1920s, when West Bromwich council built a large council housing development in the area, to the west of Walsall Road, which joined up with the new Friar Park estate, another council housing development. In the centre of Stone Cross, there is a roundabout surrounding the Stone Cross pub. Stone Cross also has a small shopping area including a library, which opened in 1975.On 10 November 1940, during World War II, a bomb landed on Walsall Road and damaged several houses, missing its target of a nearby anti-aircraft gun. There were no fatalities.The suburb is served by Tame Bridge railway station, which gives railway links to Birmingham, Walsall, Rugeley and Wolverhampton. The centre is a major interchange of the National Express West Midlands 40 and 4 bus services giving commuters alternative routes to West Bromwich, Walsall and Oldbury.Stone Cross is home to the countries largest St George's Day parade, which runs between Stone Cross and Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich. In 2014 it attracted around 15000 people.

Sot's Hole is a local nature reserve in West Midlands, England. It is on the west side of Sandwell Valley, and north-east of West Bromwich.

Tame Bridge Parkway is a railway station in the north of the borough of Sandwell, in the West Midlands, England, close to the boundary with Walsall. The station is operated by West Midlands Railway. It is situated on the Walsall Line 9 miles (14 km) north of Birmingham New Street, part of the former Grand Junction Railway, opened in 1837. The station was opened by British Rail in 1990, having been built at a cost of £600,000. It takes its name from the nearby River Tame. Pedestrian and vehicular access is via the A4031 Walsall Road.

Friar Park is a residential area of Wednesbury, West Midlands, England. It is also a ward of Sandwell Council.

Bromwich Hall - The Manor House Museum is an important, Grade I listed, medieval domestic building (a hall house) built by Richard de Marnham around 1270 as the centre of his agricultural estate in West Bromwich.Only the Great Hall survives of the original complex of living quarters, agricultural barns, sheds and ponds. Successive occupants modernised and extended the manor house until it was described in 1790 as "a large pile of irregular half-timbered buildings, black and white, and surrounded with numerous out-houses and lofty walls." The building was saved from demolition in the 1950s by West Bromwich Corporation which carried out an extensive and sympathetic restoration of this nationally important building.Today the museum is run by the Sandwell Museum Service.

Sandwell General Hospital is an acute teaching hospital of the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust in West Bromwich, England and provides an extensive range of general and specialist hospital services.

Hateley Heath is a residential area of West Bromwich, West Midlands.The population of the Sandwell ward taken at the 2011 census was 14,227.

Charlemont with Grove Vale is a political ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, in the English Midlands constituency of West Bromwich East. This Sandwell ward population as taken at the 2011 census was 11,964.The ward is made up of several neighbourhoods including Charlemont Farm, Bustlehome Mill, Church Vale, and the leafier neighbourhoods of Charlemont, Bird End, Wigmore and Grove Vale. It also covers part of the Sandwell Valley.

Newton Road railway station was a station of the London and North Western Railway in Sandwell between West Bromwich and Great Barr, England. It lay between Hamstead and the later Tame Bridge Parkway stations on what is now known as the Chase Line. As one of the original Grand Junction Railway stations, Newton Road opened in 1837,: 17  (at grid reference SP025935; 52.5399°N 1.9639°W / 52.5399; -1.9639 (Newton Road railway station (1st))) but under subsequent LNWR control, it was deemed that a more suitable site should be found, and the station was shifted a short distance north-west along the track in 1863 to the junction of Ray Hall Lane with the railway (at grid reference SP022939; 52.5439°N 1.9679°W / 52.5439; -1.9679 (Newton Road railway station (2nd)); a location now buried under the M5 motorway). However, this move yielded few dividends in passenger numbers, so the station was shifted back near its original position on Newton Road in 1902, where it stayed until final closure in 1945.

The Phoenix Collegiate is a foundation secondary school and sixth form located in the Hateley Heath area of West Bromwich, a town in the West Midlands of England. The school was formed in September 2010 from the merger of Menzies High School and Manor High School, both located in the metropolitan borough of Sandwell. Originally operating from both former school sites, the Phoenix Collegiate has been based entirely at the former Menzies High School site in Clarke's Lane, West Bromwich. This follows the closure of the former Manor High School buildings on the Friar Park estate in Wednesbury due to asbestos.

Stoney Lane was a football ground in West Bromwich, England. It was the home ground of West Bromwich Albion from 1885 until 1900.

Dartmouth Park is a public park in West Bromwich, in West Midlands, England, about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) east of the town centre and west of Sandwell Valley Country Park. The park was opened in 1878. It is owned and operated by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, and is listed Grade II in Historic England's Register of Parks and Gardens. Its area is 23.9 hectares (59 acres).
