Dzoraghbyur Training Centre, is the training ground and academy base of the Armenian football club FC Ararat Yerevan.

Charent's Arch or Arch of Charents (Armenian: Չարենցի կամար) is a monument and tourist attraction erected in 1975 and dedicated to the Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. The monument is 1500 m high and is located in the village of Voghjaberd in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Erebuni State Reserve (Armenian: Էրեբունի պետական արգելոց, romanized: Erebuni petakan argelots'), is a nature reserve in Yerevan, Armenia, designated in 1981. It is located around 8 km southeast of the capital's city-centre, in the Erebuni District. In 2015, the reserve was increased from 89 to 120 hectares, gaining 31 hectares in Voghjaberd. The reserve is mainly semi-deserted mountain-steppe and has an elevation of 1300-1450 meters above sea level.The reserve was formed to protect the wild types of Poaceae, including the Triticum araraticum. Many of the protected species are included in the Red Book of Armenia.It also has many other protected and endemic plant species, including Iris elegantissima.The reserve is also home to many types of amphibians, including Pelobates syriacus, marsh frog and European green toad. Many types of rodents are also found in the reserve.

Mayakovski (Armenian: Մայակովսկի, also Mayakawvsky) is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Geghadir (Armenian: Գեղադիր), known as Kyarpichlu until 1935, is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia located on the Yerevan–Garni road. The ancestors of the inhabitants came from Van, Khnus, Kars, and Bitlis in 1918–1924. Before that, the village was primarily populated by Turkic-speaking Muslims (i.e. Azerbaijanis).

Aramus (Armenian: Արամուս) is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. Its located at 43 km of the Getar river and 25 km of the armenian capital, Yerevan.

Zovk (Armenian: Զովք), is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

The 1679 Armenia earthquake (also called Yerevan earthquake or Garni earthquake) took place on June 4 in the Yerevan region of Armenia, then part of the Safavid Iran.Numerous buildings were destroyed as a result of the earthquake. In Yerevan most notable structures were damaged. The Yerevan Fortress was destroyed, so were the following churches: Poghos-Petros, Katoghike, Zoravor and the Gethsemane Chapel.Furthermore, the nearby Kanaker village was destroyed. The classical Hellenistic Temple of Garni also collapsed. Among many churches and monasteries that were reduced to ruins were Havuts Tar, Saint Sargis Monastery of Ushi, Hovhannavank, Geghard, and Khor Virap.

Jrvezh (Armenian: Ջրվեժ), meaning "waterfall", is a major village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia, located at the eastern outskirts of the capital Yerevan. The village is 45 km south of the provincial capital Hrazdan, and 9 km from the town of Abovyan.The name of the village appeared for the first time in history during the 5th century by historian Ghazar Parpetsi. The village is home to many historical sites including the remains of 2 chapels dating back to the 7th and 13th centuries respectively. The present-day Surp Katoghike church of Jrvezh was opened in 1891. As of the 2011 census, the population of the village is 7,198.

Kamaris (Armenian: Կամարիս), known as Gyamrez until 1978, is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Getargel (Armenian: Գետարգել), formerly known as Radiokayanin kits (ռադիոկայանին կիծ), or SMO, is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. The Dzagavank Monastery, also known as the Surp Nshan Monastery of Getargel, is located on the village's southern outskirts. The monastery consists of two churches: the main church of Surp Nshan dating back to the 7th century, and the 13th-century two-story chapel. The monastic complex was entirely renovated between 2001 and 2004. As of the 2011 census, the population of the village is 795. In addition to Armenians, the village has a Kurdish population.
