The Schwarzhorn is a mountain on the border of Switzerland and Liechtenstein in the Rätikon range of the Eastern Alps. With a height of 2,573 metres (8,442 ft) or 2,574 metres (8,445 ft) above sea level, it is the second highest summit in Liechtenstein.Sometimes the mountain is listed as Hinter-Grauspitz, but according to reference book "Die Orts- und Flurnamen des Fürstentums Liechtenstein", these are two different mountain peaks.

The Grauspitz (Vorder Grauspitze or Vorder Grauspitz on some maps) is a mountain in the Rätikon range of the Alps, located on the border between Liechtenstein and Switzerland. With an elevation of 2,599 metres (8,527 ft) above sea level, the Grauspitz is the highest mountain in Liechtenstein. It is also the highest summit of the Rätikon range west of the Schesaplana massif. The mountain lies between the valleys of Lawenatal (municipality of Triesen) on the north and the Fläscher Tal (canton of Graubünden, municipality of Fläsch) on the south. Both sides of the Grauspitz are in the basin of the Rhine, which flows approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) west of the mountain. The easiest route to the summit ascends over the peak Hinter Grauspitz, and along a class 3–4 razor ridge.

It is the lowest formation of the Bündnerschiefer and belongs to the Rhenodanubic Group.Outcrops can be found in the Engadin window, the Tauern window, the Rechnitz window, and many localities of the Penninic realm of the eastern and western Alps.The type locality is the area around the Naafkopf (47.060767°N 9.607067°E / 47.060767; 9.607067) in the border region of Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.The Tristel Formation can be correlated with the Klus Formation in Graubünden and the Couches de l’Aroley Formation in Savoie (France) and Valais (Switzerland).
