Hongō Station (Nagoya)

Meitō-ku (名東区, Meitō-ku) is one of the 16 wards of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2019, the ward had an estimated population of 165,287 and a population density of 8,498 persons per km². The total area was 19.45 km².

Kamiyashiro Station (上社駅, Kamiyashiro-eki) is an above ground metro station located in Meitō-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan operated by the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Higashiyama Line. It is located 18.6 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Higashiyama Line at Takabata Station. This station provides access to Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences.

Fujigaoka (藤が丘) is a new town in Meito-Ku ward, Nagoya, Japan. Fujigaoka means literally Wisteria Hill. The town has 400 Cherry Blossom trees lining the streets and is famous for its Blossoms and Festival in April. The town is relatively new, having been largely populated in the last 30 years. For this reason, the inhabitants include a large number of people from outside Nagoya, leading to a local accent that is less colloquial than the more traditional Nagoya dialect. It benefits from a major hospital, schools and is the location of the Fujigaoka Station on the Higashiyama Line of the Nagoya Subway. The area around the station is known for its convenience. There are four supermarkets within walking distance and "izakaya"/restaurants near the station area. Subway passengers can transfer to the Linimo line, which is another modern rail system that was originally built for the 2005 World Expo. The rail is not part of the Nagoya subway system and travels further east. The town celebrates its festival every year on the first Saturday and Sunday of April, with public displays of dancing and street entertainment, and a street market amongst other things.

Fujigaoka Station (藤が丘駅, Fujigaoka-eki) is a railway station in Meitō-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, JapanThe station serving the Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line was opened on 1 April 1969 (1969-04-01), and the neighboring station of the same name serving the Linimo was opened on 6 March 2005 (2005-03-06).

Aichi Shukutoku Junior College (愛知淑徳短期大学, Aichi Shukutoku Tanki Daigaku) was a junior college in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Japan. The college was founded in 1961. The predecessor of the school, Aichi Shukutoku Girls High School, was founded in 1905. The college closed in 2001.

Issha Station (一社駅, Issha-eki) is an underground metro station located in Meitō-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan operated by the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Higashiyama Line. It is located 17.5 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Higashiyama Line at Takabata Station.

Aichi Toho University (愛知東邦大学, Aichi tōhō daigaku) is a private university in Meitō-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 2001. The present name was adopted in 2007.

Sugiyama Jogakuen University Junior College (椙山女学園大学短期大学部, Sugiyama Jogakuen Daigaku Tanki Daigaku) was a junior college in Chikusa-ku Nagoya Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and was part of the Sugiyama Jogakuen network. The Junior College was founded in 1969 as an attached to Sugiyama Jogakuen University. There were two courses in this Junior College, the students ware major in Japanese literature or English literature. Some students included in Sugiyama Jogakuen University, Aichi University, Ritsumeikan University and others after graduation. In 2001 the Junior College was closed.

Hoshigaoka Station (星ヶ丘駅, Hoshigaoka-eki) is an underground metro station located in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan operated by the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Higashiyama Line. It is located 16.2 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Higashiyama Line at Takabata Station. This station provides access to Sugiyama Jogakuen University.

Heiwa Park (平和公園) is a public park is located in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya in central Japan. The spacious park on the eastern side of the city has an area of around 150 hectares. It is dedicated to peace. The park is popular amongst visitors especially during the Hanami season in spring. The park features a statue of Kannon, the boddhisatva of mercy, trails through the woodlands, ponds and a large cemetery, Also in there still exist Tomb of Matsudaira Senchiyo, 8th son of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shōgun of Tokugawa Shogunate. Access by public transport is by Jiyūgaoka Station with Meijō Line or Higashiyama Koen Station on the Higashiyama Line. If the Nagoya bid for the 1988 Summer Olympics succeeded, a stadium was planned to be built inside the park.
