Motoyama Station (Nagoya)

Motoyama (本山) is a district in Chikusa-ku (千種区), a ward in the east of Nagoya City. It is located between Higashiyama and Kakuozan, and is close to both Nagoya University and Higashiyama-Koen Park (東山公園).

Tōgan-ji (桃巌寺) is a Buddhist temple of the Sōtō Zen sect located in Nagoya, central Japan. In 16th Century Toganji Temple has a Shiva-Lingam from 16th century.

Shiroyama Hachimangū (城山八幡宮), also known as Shiroyama Hakusan, is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Nagoya, central Japan.

Suemori Castle (末森城, Suemori-jō) is a former Japanese castle located in Nagoya. It was originally outside the city of Nagoya in the countryside of the Owari Province. Lord Oda Nobuhide (1508-1549) built this castle in 1548. The following year, his third son Oda Nobuyuki (d. 1557) became the castle's lord, but was defeated at the Battle of Inogahara, where he fought against his older brother Oda Nobunaga (1534-1582). It is assumed that the castle was subsequently abandoned in 1559 and fell into ruins. A stone stelae marks the site of the castle. The area today is overgrown with trees. Located on the premises is the Shiroyama Hachiman-gū. The closest station by public transport is Motoyama Station on the Higashiyama Line and Meijo Line.

Higashiyama Kōen (Higashiyama Park) Station (東山公園駅, Higashiyama Kōen-eki) is an underground metro station located in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan operated by the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Higashiyama Line. It is located 15.1 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Higashiyama Line at Takabata Station.

Nagoya University (名古屋大学, Nagoya daigaku), abbreviated to Meidai (名大) or NU, is a Japanese national research university located in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya. It was the seventh Imperial University in Japan, one of the first five Designated National University and selected as a Top Type university of Top Global University Project by the Japanese government. It is the 3rd highest ranked higher education institution in Japan (84th worldwide).The university is the birthplace of the Sakata School of physics and the Hirata School of chemistry. As of 2021, seven Nobel Prize winners have been associated with Nagoya University, the third most in Japan and Asia behind Kyoto University and the University of Tokyo.

Nagoya Daigaku Station (名古屋大学駅, Nagoya Daigaku-eki) is a railway station in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.It was opened on 13 December 2003 (2003-12-13). This station provides access to the Higashiyama campus of Nagoya University, which is the station's namesake, and the Nagoya campus of Nanzan University.

Kakuōzan Nittai-ji (覚王山日泰寺, Japan-Thailand Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in the city of Nagoya, Aichi prefecture, Japan. It was built in 1904 in order to keep the ashes of Buddha, given to Japan by the Kingdom of Thailand. ”覚王” literally means "Enlightenment King," referring to the Buddha, and “日泰” means Japan and the Kingdom of Thailand in Japanese. Usually, each temple in Japan belongs to a religious sect. However, Nittai-ji doesn't belong to any religious sect. Every three years, 19 religious sects take their turn to dispatch a chief priest to Nittai-ji. Usually, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand visits Nittai-ji on his birthday.

Jiyūgaoka Station (自由ヶ丘駅, Jiyūgaoka-eki) is a railway station in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.It was opened on December 13, 2003 (2003-12-13). This station provides access to Heiwa Park, Aichi Prefectural Shiroyama Hospital, and Aichi Cancer Center Hospital.
