Służew

Służew (Polish pronunciation: [ˈswuʐɛf] ) is a neighbourhood, and a City Information System area, in Warsaw, Poland, within the Mokotów district. It is a residential area with housing estates of apartment buildings, including Służew Fort, Służew nad Dolinką, and Służewiec-Prototypy, as well as single-family neighbourhood of Służew-Parcele. The Łazarski University and the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences are also present in the neighbourhood. Służew is connected to the Warsaw Metro rapid transit underground system, with the Służew of the M1 line. The neighbourhood forms the western portion of the historic area of Służew, with Stary Służew (Old Służew) to the east, and is part of the western half of the district, known as the Upper Mokotów. In 1886, the Fort VIIA, were built in the area as part of the series of fortifications of the Warsaw Fortress. It was decommissioned in 1909, and partially demolished in 1913. In 1932, the neighbourhood of villas, known as Służew-Parcele, was developed nearby. The area was incorporated into the city in 1938. In the 1960s and 1970s, the housing estates of Służew Fort, Służew nad Dolinką, and Służewiec-Prototypy were developed in the area. In 1995, the Służew station of the Warsaw Metro was opened.

The Służew Valley Park is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the neighbourhood of Służew, within the district of Mokotów, between Bacha Street, Wilanów Avenue, Puławska Street, and Dolina Służewiecka Street. The park was opened in the 1970s.

The Służew New Cemetery (Polish: Nowy cmentarz na Służewie) is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Warsaw's Mokotów district, Poland. The cemetery is located at Wałbrzyska Street. The cemetery was established in 1900.From 30 June to 10 July 2014, the Institute of National Remembrance, the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom and the Ministry of Justice carried out work as part of the research project "Searching for unknown burial places of victims of communist terror from 1944–1956". The exhumations were conducted under the supervision of Krzysztof Szwagrzyk.

Metro Służew is a station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro, located in the Służew district in south Warsaw, at the junction of Wałbrzyska and Rolna Streets. The station was opened on 7 April 1995 as part of the inaugural stretch of the Warsaw Metro, between Kabaty and Politechnika.

Polskie Nagrania "Muza" ("Polish Records 'Muse' ", official name since 2005: "Polskie Nagrania Sp. z o.o", i.e., Polskie Nagrania Ltd.) is a Polish record label based in Warsaw. It has produced records in many genres including pop, rock, jazz, folklore, classical, children. Until its purchase by Warner Music Poland in 2015, for €1.9 million, the label was owned by the Polish government.The label was established in 1956 after the merger of the vinyl record factory Muza and the record house Polskie Nagrania (with the history of the latter traced to the Interbellum times). It also produced musical literature. In addition to its own vinyl record factory, it also used the factories of Pronit and Veriton.

Służew-Parcele is a neighbourhood in Warsaw, Poland, located within the Mokotów district, and within the City Information System area of Służew. It is a low-rise residential area with detached and semi-detached single-family houses. The neighbourhood was founded in 1932, and incorporated into the city in 1938.

Stokłosy is a residential neighborhood in the Ursynów district of Warsaw, Poland. Stokłosy is located within the area of the Municipal Information System of Northern Ursynów (Ursynów Północny). According to the State Register of Geographical Names, the residential neighborhood is a part of the city with the ID number 131429. Its area is run by, among others Jastrzębowski, Stokłosa, Zamiany, Béla Bartók, Bacewiczówna and the Union of Youth Struggle (Związki Walki Młodych) Streets. Stokłosy is an area with a predominance of multi-family housing.

Muzeum Historii Polskiego Ruchu Ludowego is a museum in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1984. The museum is located in a building known as the ‘Yellow Tavern’ („Żółta Karczma”). Its focus is the history of the Polish countryside, peasant political parties and other groups. It does not have a permanent collection but offers a range of changing exhibitions.

The Roman Kozłowski Park is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Ursynów, between Koński Jar Street, Nutki Street, Rzymowskiego Street, and Puszczyka Street. It was opened in 1977.

The Cwil Mound, also known as the Cwil Mountain, is a mound in Roman Kozłowski Park, in the city of Warsaw, Poland, within the district of Ursynów. It was built in 1976, and with the height of 118 m, it is the tallest landform in the disctict.
