Westminster is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, in the United States. At the 2020 census, the town population was 8,213.

The Montachusett Region (also known as North County) is a region comprising several cities and towns in the north-central area of Massachusetts surrounding Fitchburg. As it has no legal standing in state government, definitions of the region vary. The terms, which are used interchangeably, are usually understood to refer to the area economically tied with the cities of Gardner, Fitchburg and Leominster. The "North County" label—the county referred to is Worcester County—is often used to emphasize the area's distance and separate political identity from the county seat at Worcester. The region is sometimes defined as including Fitchburg suburbs in the northwestern corner of Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The region's leading daily newspaper, the Sentinel & Enterprise, is published in Fitchburg. Another, the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester, publishes a "North County" daily edition and Montachusett T&G semiweekly insert, both of which cover most of the areas usually considered parts of the North County and Montachusett regions. The Nathan Wood House is a historic house located in Westminster, Massachusetts. Built in 1756 by one of the town's early settlers, it is one of its oldest surviving buildings, and good example of colonial Georgian residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 16, 1987.

The Ahijah Wood House is a historic house in Westminster, Massachusetts. The two story brick Federal style house was built in 1795 by the son of an early settler, and is a rare example of a Federal period house with a hipped mansard roof. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 (where it is incorrectly listed at 174 Worcester Road).

The Ezra Wood–Levi Warner Place is an historic house at 165 Depot Road in Westminster, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of the house, now an ell attached to the rear of the main block, was built in 1759 by Nathaniel Merrill, and is one of the town's oldest surviving structures. The house has served as a hotel, stagecoach stop, post office, and as a stop on the Underground Railroad. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

North Central Correctional Institution is a medium/minimum security prison located in Gardner, MA. Within the facility are eighteen buildings, with a perimeter consisting of two chain-linked fences topped with razor wire. The perimeter is manned by three towers and foot patrols of K9 teams. It is under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction. NCCI is considered a low medium due to the interior design of the facility. It is a converted state hospital facility with many dormitory style units. The inmate population consists of adult male felons serving sentences ranging from 2.5 years to life. On January 6, 2020, there were 974 inmates in general population beds.

Gardner State Hospital is a historic mental hospital located in Gardner, Massachusetts. The hospital was closed in 1975, and is now operated as North Central Correctional Institution.

Wachusett Mountain is an alpine ski area in the northeastern United States, located on Mount Wachusett, in the towns of Princeton and Westminster, Worcester County, Massachusetts. It has 25 trails served by eight lifts, including three high-speed chairlifts and four magic-carpet lifts, and a triple chairlift. There is a weekend shuttle service to and from a MBTA commuter stop in nearby Fitchburg.Wachusett Mountain has 100% snow-making capacity, and also has night skiing on most of its trails. The mountain is located in the Northeastern part of Massachusetts, with the closest major city being Worcester.

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, also known as Monty Tech, is a grade 9 (age 14–15) to grade 12 (age 17–18) public, secondary, vocational, open enrollment school in Fitchburg and Westminster, Massachusetts, United States. It provides training in 21 different trades and is the second largest vocational-technical school in Massachusetts.The school is operated by the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District, consisting of 18 towns, mainly in Worcester County. The school includes a childcare center, a restaurant, and a veterinary clinic. It also includes a performing arts center named after former Superintendent-Director Stratos G. Dukakis.

Redemption Rock is a colonial-era historic site in Princeton, Massachusetts. In 1676, during King Philip's War, the release of Mary Rowlandson (the wife of a Puritan minister) from her Native American captors was negotiated atop a granite ledge. The .25-acre (0.10 ha) parcel upon which the rock stands was acquired by the land conservation non-profit organization The Trustees of Reservations in 1953, and is open to the public.Rowlandson would later write about her experience in A Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson, considered a seminal work in the American literary genre of captivity narratives. Redemption Rock is located off Massachusetts Route 140, near Wachusett Mountain.

WJXP (90.1 FM) was a radio station licensed to serve Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The station was owned by Epic Light Network, Inc. It began broadcasting in 2011, and was owned by Horizon Christian Fellowship, airing a Christian format as an affiliate of RenewFM. On February 19, 2019, the station went silent. The station again went silent on February 24, 2020, for technical reasons. Effective November 24, 2020, the station was sold to Epic Light Network, Inc.WJXP's license was cancelled on April 1, 2022, for failing to file a renewal application.

Wachusett Mountain State Reservation is a protected area encompassing 3,000 acres (1,200 ha) around the summit of Mount Wachusett in Massachusetts.
