Woodbury Heights is a borough located in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2000 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,055, reflecting an increase of 67 (+2.2%) from the 2,988 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 404 (-11.9%) from the 3,392 counted in the 1990 Census.Woodbury Heights was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1915, from portions of Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 27, 1915. Portions were exchanged with Woodbury in 1925, and portions of the city were annexed on March 22, 1938. Portions were exchanged with Deptford Township in 1956 and other portions were annexed from the township in 1965. The borough was named for the city of Woodbury, which in turn was named for its founder Henry Wood, who settled in the area in 1683 after arriving from Bury, England, at the age of 80 to escape religious persecution.The borough had the 19th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.442% in 2020, compared to 3.212% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

Gateway Regional High School is a regional school district and public high school serving students in seventh through twelfth grades from the boroughs of National Park, Wenonah, Westville and Woodbury Heights, four communities in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 875 students and 81.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.7:1. There were 193 students (22.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 46 (5.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. Oak Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Deptford Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, in the United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 3,483.Oak Valley and neighboring Pine Acres are located east of Route 45, isolated from the rest of Deptford Township, requiring residents to drive through the neighboring communities of Woodbury Heights or Wenonah to reach other destinations in the township. The neighborhood was built between the mid-1950s and 1963 on a combination of farmland, fruit orchards and the former grounds of the Forest View Country Club, later known as Oak Valley Country Club, which was a golf course that closed down during the Great Depression.

The Woodbury Country Club (WCC) was a private golf club in Woodbury, New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated in August 1897 and had been one of the 100 oldest private golf clubs in the country as of August 2009. Among some of the club's original officers was George Gill Green, a patent medicine entrepreneur, who served as Vice President. Due to the economy, the golf club was no longer able to sustain operations and went into foreclosure in 2010.

Thompson House was located on the corner of Glover and Penn Streets in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The house was bought by John W. Thompson, glassblower, in 1885, and used as a specialty grocery store from that time until 1956. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 13, 1988. It burned down on January 14, 2012.

Woodbury is a defunct commuter railroad station in the city of Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey. Located at the junction of Station Road and Cooper Street, the station served multiple lines of the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines and the Pennsylvania Railroad. Trains out of Woodbury serviced lines to Salem, Millville, Penns Grove/Carneys Point and Cape May. Woodbury station consisted of two side platforms and a 72-by-20-foot (21.9 m × 6.1 m) brick station depot. Railroad service at Woodbury station began on April 14, 1857 with the opening of the West Jersey Railroad between Camden and Woodbury. The current depot opened in 1883, designed in Stick style architecture. Service on the line to Penns Grove ended on July 8, 1950. Salem service ended on December 30 that same year. The final remaining passenger service (Camden–Millville) ended on February 5, 1971. The station depot currently serves as a restaurant. Restoration of service at Woodbury station is proposed as part of the Glassboro–Camden Line, a light rail operation between the two eponmyous cities.

Gloucester County Courthouse is the historic courthouse for Gloucester County, New Jersey, U.S. and is located in the county seat, Woodbury. It was designed by architectural firm Hazelhurst and Huckel (whose work includes the Union Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and built in 1885. Construction included the cornerstone of the 1787 building it replaced; the bell in the clock tower is also from the earlier building.The courthouse is a contributing property to Broad Street Historic District, listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places (#1429) in 1988.
