Woodbury Heights is a borough located in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2000 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,055, reflecting an increase of 67 (+2.2%) from the 2,988 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 404 (-11.9%) from the 3,392 counted in the 1990 Census.Woodbury Heights was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1915, from portions of Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 27, 1915. Portions were exchanged with Woodbury in 1925, and portions of the city were annexed on March 22, 1938. Portions were exchanged with Deptford Township in 1956 and other portions were annexed from the township in 1965. The borough was named for the city of Woodbury, which in turn was named for its founder Henry Wood, who settled in the area in 1683 after arriving from Bury, England, at the age of 80 to escape religious persecution.The borough had the 19th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.442% in 2020, compared to 3.212% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

Carpenter's Landing was a mercantile settlement located at the head of sloop navigation on Mantua Creek in Mantua Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.In the late 1780s, Thomas Carpenter (1752-1847) moved to Carpenter's Landing and established a store and lumber business. In the 1860s, it was described as "a place of considerable trade in lumber, cordwood, etc., and contains one tavern, two stores, 30 dwellings and a Methodist church". The landing is said to have been named either for a man named Carpenter who built boats at the site during its mercantile boom days, or Edward Carpenter (son of Thomas Carpenter and descendant of Samuel Carpenter of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) who owned the Heston & Carpenter Glass Works at nearby Glassboro, New Jersey in 1786 in partnership with Col. Thomas Heston, his wife's nephew.

As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 2,278, reflecting a decline of 39 (-1.7%) from the 2,317 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 14 (-0.6%) from the 2,331 counted in the 1990 Census. It is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Wenonah was established as a Borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 10, 1883, from portions of Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum that was held two days earlier. The borough was named for the mother of Hiawatha in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's work The Song of Hiawatha.It is a dry town, where alcohol cannot be sold.The borough had the 29th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.120% in 2020, compared to 3.212% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

There were 193 students (22.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 46 (5.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. Carpenter Street School is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The school was built in 1840 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 21, 1997.

Thompson House was located on the corner of Glover and Penn Streets in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The house was bought by John W. Thompson, glassblower, in 1885, and used as a specialty grocery store from that time until 1956. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 13, 1988. It burned down on January 14, 2012.

Benjamin Clark House is located in Deptford, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1769 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 1973.

G.G. Green's Block is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1880 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 2001.

The Woodbury Country Club (WCC) was a private golf club in Woodbury, New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated in August 1897 and had been one of the 100 oldest private golf clubs in the country as of August 2009. Among some of the club's original officers was George Gill Green, a patent medicine entrepreneur, who served as Vice President. Due to the economy, the golf club was no longer able to sustain operations and went into foreclosure in 2010.

Woodbury is a defunct commuter railroad station in the city of Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey. Located at the junction of Station Road and Cooper Street, the station served multiple lines of the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines and the Pennsylvania Railroad. Trains out of Woodbury serviced lines to Salem, Millville, Penns Grove/Carneys Point and Cape May. Woodbury station consisted of two side platforms and a 72-by-20-foot (21.9 m × 6.1 m) brick station depot. Railroad service at Woodbury station began on April 14, 1857 with the opening of the West Jersey Railroad between Camden and Woodbury. The current depot opened in 1883, designed in Stick style architecture. Service on the line to Penns Grove ended on July 8, 1950. Salem service ended on December 30 that same year. The final remaining passenger service (Camden–Millville) ended on February 5, 1971. The station depot currently serves as a restaurant. Restoration of service at Woodbury station is proposed as part of the Glassboro–Camden Line, a light rail operation between the two eponmyous cities.
