Woodbury is a city in Gloucester County, New Jersey, in the United States. As of the 2010 United States Census the city's population was 10,174, reflecting a decline of 133 (-1.3%) from the 10,307 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 597 (-5.5%) from the 10,904 counted in the 1990 Census. Woodbury is the county seat of Gloucester County.Woodbury was originally formed as a borough on March 27, 1854, within Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum held on March 22, 1854. On January 2, 1871, Woodbury was reincorporated as a city, based on the results of a referendum held that day.The Inspira Health Network is based in Woodbury. The now-defunct Woodbury Country Club operated in Woodbury from 1897 to 2010, closing due to declining membership and mounting debt that led to a bankruptcy filing by the club.The city had the 14th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.582% in 2020, compared to 3.212% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

Hunter–Lawrence–Jessup House is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1765 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 18, 1972. The house is now known as the Gloucester County Historical Society Museum and is operated by the Gloucester County Historical Society as a museum of local history.

The Woodbury Public Schools (WPS) is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Woodbury, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising four schools, had an enrollment of 1,550 students and 129.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.0:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second-lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.On March 15, 2020, the entire district closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gloucester County Courthouse is the historic courthouse for Gloucester County, New Jersey, U.S. and is located in the county seat, Woodbury. It was designed by architectural firm Hazelhurst and Huckel (whose work includes the Union Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and built in 1885. Construction included the cornerstone of the 1787 building it replaced; the bell in the clock tower is also from the earlier building.The courthouse is a contributing property to Broad Street Historic District, listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places (#1429) in 1988.

Woodbury Friends' Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meeting house in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1715 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

G.G. Green's Block is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1880 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 2001.

Woodbury Junior-Senior High School (WHS) is a comprehensive community middle school and public high school that serves students in sixth through twelfth grades from Woodbury, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Woodbury Public Schools system. The class of 2003 was the school's 100th graduating class, making Woodbury High School one of the oldest secondary schools in South Jersey and the oldest in its athletic conference. As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 768 students and 66.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1. There were 437 students (56.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 39 (5.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Christ Episcopal Church is an Anglo-Catholic Episcopal church in Woodbury, New Jersey. Founded in 1854, the parish is part of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey and a member of the Anglican Communion. The parish was established by the first Rector, the Reverend William Herbert Norris, at the direction of Bishop George Washington Doane; the church building was finished in 1856 and consecrated September 17, 1857. In 1911, a fire in the undercroft of the church nearly caused the loss of the building; during the fire the women of the church rescued the altar cloth, bible, and Bishop's chair. The Bishop's chair is still used for visiting bishops today. The adjoining Parish House was renovated in 2018. In addition to serving as the assembly room for coffee hours and parish meetings, in the 1930s and 1940s it also served as the performance space for the Woodbury Sketch Club.The current rector is The Very Rev. Brian K. Burgess, who is also the current bishop-elect of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield, Illinois.

Carpenter Street School is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The school was built in 1840 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 21, 1997.

It is affiliated with the Jefferson Medical College, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, among others. In 2021 it was given a grade A by the Leapfrog patient safety organization.

The Woodbury Country Club (WCC) was a private golf club in Woodbury, New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated in August 1897 and had been one of the 100 oldest private golf clubs in the country as of August 2009. Among some of the club's original officers was George Gill Green, a patent medicine entrepreneur, who served as Vice President. Due to the economy, the golf club was no longer able to sustain operations and went into foreclosure in 2010.

Thompson House was located on the corner of Glover and Penn Streets in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The house was bought by John W. Thompson, glassblower, in 1885, and used as a specialty grocery store from that time until 1956. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 13, 1988. It burned down on January 14, 2012.
