L'Evêque

Col Collon (el. 3074 m.) is a high mountain pass across the central Pennine Alps, connecting Arolla in the Swiss canton of Valais to Bionaz in the Italian region of Aosta Valley. The pass is located on the border at the southern tip of the Arolla Glacier, south of Mont Collon.

Mont Collon (3,637 m) is a mountain of the Swiss Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais. Its glaciated north face dominates the view south from the village of Arolla. The ascent over the West Ridge, first made by A. Cust and F. Gardiner with the guides Peter Knubel and Johannes Knubel of St. Niklaus in the canton Valais on 3 August 1876, is now the normal route.

The Petit Mont Collon is a mountain of the Swiss Pennine Alps, located south of Arolla in the canton of Valais. It lies south of the Col de Chermotane and west of Mont Collon.

The Arolla Glacier (French: Glacier d'Arolla) is a 4 km (2.5 mi) long glacier (2005) situated in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 13.17 km2 (5.08 sq mi). The Glacier d'Arolla is in fact composed of two glacier: the Glacier du Mont Collon and the Haut Glacier d'Arolla.

The Col de Chermotane (also known as Col de Charmotane) is an Alpine pass located in the Swiss canton of Valais. With an elevation of 3,037 metres above sea level, the Col de Chermotane is the lowest pass between the valleys of Bagnes and Hérens. The pass lies a few kilometres north of the main chain of the Alps and is covered by the Otemma Glacier. It connects Chanrion to Arolla, both in the upper part of their valley. The pass is located between the Pigne d'Arolla (north) and the Petit Mont Collon (south).

La Singla, also spelled La Sengla, is a 3,714 m mountain of the Pennine Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It is the highest summit lying between the valleys of Bagnes (Valais) and Valpelline (Aosta Valley). On its northern side La Singla overlooks the Otemma Glacier.

Mont Brulé (also known as Mont Brûlé or Mont Braoulé) is a mountain of the Pennine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border, east of the Col Collon. On its northern side it overlooks the upper Arolla Glacier.

The Vignettes Hut (French: Cabane des Vignettes) is an alpine hut, located south of Arolla in the Swiss canton of Valais. It lies at a height of 3,160 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Pigne d'Arolla and near the Col de Chermotane in the Pennine Alps. All accesses to the hut involve glacier crossing.The Cabane de Vignettes is a famous stop for those that walk or ski the Haute Route, Chamonix–Zermatt. This Haute Route was first established on foot in 1861 by English mountaineers.

The Dents de Bouquetins or just the Bouquetins (French for Alpine ibexes) are a multi-summited mountain of the Alps between Switzerland and Italy. They form a ridge composed of several summits above 3,600 metres, of which the highest is 3,838 metres. The Bouquetins are the highest mountain on the main watershed of the Pennine Alps west of the Dent d'Hérens. A shelter (Refuge des Bouquetins), owned by the Swiss Alpine Club, is located at the western base of the mountain.

The Otemma Glacier (French: Glacier d'Otemma) is a 7.7 km (4.8 mi) long glacier (2005) situated in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. In 1973 it had a length of 8.7 km (5.4 mi), and an area of 17.5 km2 (6.8 sq mi) but, like most other alpine glaciers, is known to be receding. By 2010 it had receded a further 1.2 km (0.75 mi) from its 1973 position. In summer 2018, the snout zone (terminus) of the glacier collapsed.

The Bertol Hut (French: Cabane de Bertol) is a mountain hut overlooking the Bertol Pass, south of Arolla in the Swiss canton of Valais. It is known for its precarious position on a ridge at 3,311 metres (10,863 ft) south of the Pointe de Bertol and is accessed by a number of fixed ladders and chains from the glacier pass (3,268 m). All accesses to the hut involve glacier crossing. On its east side it overlooks the large plateau of the Mont Miné Glacier. The Bertol Hut is situated on the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt. Nearby peaks include the Dent Blanche, Aiguille de la Tsa and Tête Blanche.
