Wessex Court is a historic terrace of buildings in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a town in England. The terrace was built in the 1840s, with the central section being the Crown Spa Hotel, and the wings being houses. The terrace was grade II* listed in 1953. Jimmy Savile purchased a flat in one of the buildings for the use of his mother, and after her death preserved it in her memory. Following Saville's death and the exposure of his crimes, the flat was purchased by the anti-child abuse campaigner Rodney Walker. The building is stuccoed, with rusticated ground floor, a continuous balcony above the ground floor, a moulded cornice, and a panelled parapet. The hotel has four storeys, the middle four bays projecting with Greek Doric columns on the ground floor and Corinthian columns on the upper floors, above which is a pediment containing a crown motif. The flanking wings have three storeys and attics, and each house has three bays. The windows are sashes, and all the ground floor openings have round-arched heads, the doorways with semicircular fanlights. Many original features of the hotel survive, while in 2009, a rooftop extension was added.

The Esplanade Hotel is a historic building in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a town in England. The building was constructed in the 1830s, probably as a terrace of houses, and only later being converted into a hotel. It occupies a prominent position above a valley. A new entrance was constructed in the late 20th century. In the early 21st century, it was owned by the Co-operative Group, which sold it to Northern Powerhouse Developments in 2017, who sold it on to Daish's Holidays. In 2025, it was refurbished. The building has been grade II listed since 1973. The hotel is stuccoed with a rusticated ground floor, and has a frieze, modified Corinthian pilasters, a projecting moulded cornice, a moulded coped parapet, and a slate mansard roof. There are four storeys, a slightly curved plan and fronts of 18 bays. Most of the windows are recessed sashes in architraves. On the south front are bow windows in two and four storeys, and above the ground floor is a continuous iron balcony. In the centre of the north front is the modern entrance.

The Cliff Bridge, previously known as the Spa Bridge, is a footbridge in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. Spanning the valley from St Nicholas Cliff to The Spa, it was completed in 1827 and is a Grade II listed building.The bridge has four segmental braced iron arches on plain tapering stone piers with stone abutments; its walkway is 414 feet (126 m) long. It is a rare example of a multiple-span cast iron bridge.

St Martin's Vicarage is a historic building in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a town in England. The house was constructed as the vicarage of St Martin-on-the-Hill, Scarborough. Some sources date it to 1863, but Nikolaus Pevsner argues that it must be later, as inside there is stained glass by Charles Eamer Kempe, which was manufactured around 1889. Like the church, it was designed by G. F. Bodley, but is in the Queen Anne style, similar to work by Norman Shaw. The building was grade II* listed in 1973. The vicarage is built of red brick, with moulded dressings, a string course and a tile roof. It has two storeys and attics, Three of the bays project under pediments and contain small-pane sash windows, and above each bay is a gable containing a window, over which is a pediment. Between the left two bays is a doorway, above which is a carved panel and a pediment.

Cliff End House is a historic building in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a town in England. The house was probably built in the 1760s. It is an early example of a house built with sea views, though it is not solely oriented towards the sea. Historic England note that it forms part of an important group with Cliff Bridge Terrace. It was grade II* listed in 1953. The house is built of painted brick with a dentilled cornice and a slate roof. The south front has four storeys and an attic, the east, entrance, front is gabled and has three storeys and an attic, and both fronts have three bays. The doorway in the right bay has panelled pilasters, a semicircular fanlight with an Ionic motif, fluted scroll brackets, a broken entablature and an open pediment. The windows are sashes, some tripartite, with flat stucco arches, the attic window on the entrance front has a round-arched head, and there are three dormers.

Valley Bridge is a road bridge in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It spans Ramsdale and was built in 1865.It was first built as Lendal Bridge, York, but it collapsed there and was later brought to Scarborough.

St Edward the Confessor's Church is a Catholic church in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a town in England. The first Catholic church in Scarbough was St Peter's. By the 1890s, the town had grown, and it was decided to establish chapels of ease in suburbs of the town. The first of these was St Edward the Confessor, in the South Cliff area of the town. Fundraising was slow, and work began in 1912, after a Mr Anderson from York donated £1,000. The building was designed by John Petch & Son, and was completed in 1914. It is in the neo-Byzantine style, described by Eugène Roulin as being "modernised with tactful taste". In 1968, the church was given its own parish, but it became a chapel of ease again in 1999. The church is built of red brick with stone dressings, and has a pantile roof. It consists of a nave and sanctuary, porch and southwest tower. The tower is square in the lower stages and octagonal in its upper stage, with a tiled pyramidal roof. The windows have elaborate tracery, inspired by early Christian examples. The interior is simple, with a panelled dado, original oak pews, a stone altar with carvings of reindeer, and a stone reredos. There is a panelled canopy above the altar, and a wooden gallery at the west end.

The Grand Hotel is a large hotel in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, overlooking the town's South Bay. It is a Grade II* listed building and owned by Britannia Hotels. At the time of its grand opening in 1867, it was the largest hotel and the largest brick structure in Europe.
