Pulborough Brooks

Wiggonholt is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Parham, in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England. It is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) southeast of Pulborough on the A283 road. The village consists of a farm, a few houses and a small Church of England parish church. In 1931 the parish had a population of 54. On 1 April 1933 the parish was abolished and merged with Parham.The RSPB Pulborough Brooks wildfowl reserve is north of the parish church, on the floodplain of the River Arun. Wiggonholt Common is an area of open woodland south of the village that adjoins Parham Park and is popular with walkers. A Roman road, the Greensand Way, from north of Lewes passed north of the village to join Stane Street at Hardham on the west bank of the River Arun. The remains of a Roman bath house have been excavated beside the Roman road.The small rectangular medieval parish church of unknown dedication has a bell turret and Horsham Stone roof, and has a Sussex marble font.

Greatham Church (the dedication is unrecorded) is the Anglican parish church of the hamlet of Greatham in the district of Horsham, one of seven local government districts in the English county of West Sussex. The tiny single-room building has been described variously as "delightful" and "one of the most appealing churches in Sussex". The unrestored 12th-century stone church serves a rural area near the River Arun and sits apart from the hamlet next to the ancient manor house. The church is a Grade I Listed building.

Greatham ( GRET-əm) is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Parham, in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England. It lies on the Coldwaltham to Storrington road about 2 miles (3 km) south of Pulborough. In 1931 the parish had a population of 55.

Pulborough is a large village and civil parish in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England, with some 5,000 inhabitants. It is located almost centrally within West Sussex and is 42 miles (68 km) south west of London. It is at the junction of the north–south A29 and the east–west A283 roads. The village is near the confluence of the River Arun and the River Rother, on the Stane Street Roman road from London to Chichester. It looks southwards over the broad flood plain of the tidal Arun to a backdrop of the South Downs. It is on the northern boundary of the newly established South Downs National Park. The parish covers an area of 5,183 acres (2,098 hectares). The twelfth-century parish church is dedicated to St Mary. In the 2001 census there were 4,685 people living in 1,976 households of whom 2,333 were economically active. At the 2011 census the population of Bignor was included and the total population was 5,206.

Pulborough railway station serves the West Sussex village of Pulborough. It is at the western end of the village, just off the A283 road. It is 50 miles (80 km) down the line from London Bridge via Redhill.

St Botolph's Church is the Church of England parish church of Hardham, West Sussex. It is in Horsham District and is a Grade I listed building. It contains the earliest nearly complete series of wall paintings in England. Among forty individual subjects is the earliest known representation of St. George in England. Dating from the 12th century, they were hidden from view until uncovered in 1866 and now "provide a rare and memorable impression of a medieval painted interior". The simple two-cell stone building, with its original medieval whitewashed exterior, has seen little alteration and also has an ancient bell.

Hardham is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Coldwaltham, in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England. It is on the A29 road 1.2 miles (2 km) southwest of Pulborough. In 1931 the parish had a population of 107.

Marehill Quarry is a 1.1-hectare (2.7-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Pulborough in West Sussex. It is owned and managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust and is a Geological Conservation Review site.This disused quarry is the type locality for the Marehill Clay, a member of the Sandgate Beds, part of the Lower Greensand Group, which dates to the Lower Cretaceous between 145 and 100 million years ago. It has caves which are used for hibernation by several species of bats, including Natterer's, whiskered and Daubenton's.There is no public access to the site.

Parham Park SSSI is a 263.3-hectare (651-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in the grounds of Parham Park, west of Storrington in West Sussex. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade 2.This medieval deer park has a very rich epiphytic lichen flora, with 165 recorded species. Habitats include woods, parkland, bogs and artificial ponds. The site also has a large heronry and two rare beetles, Ampedus cardinalis and Procraerus tibialis.The house and grounds are open to the public for a fee.

Parham Park is an Elizabethan house and estate in the civil parish of Parham, west of the village of Cootham, and between Storrington and Pulborough, West Sussex, South East England. The estate was originally owned by the Monastery of Westminster and granted to Robert Palmer by King Henry VIII in 1540.

Park Farm Cutting is a 0.2-hectare (0.49-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Pulborough in West Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes the Sandgate Beds of the Lower Greensand Group, which dates to the Early Cretaceous between 140 and 100 million years ago. It is the best collecting ground for a diverse range of mollusc fossils.The Wey South Path goes through the site.
