Skellingthorpe railway station (Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway)

Skellingthorpe is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the village at the 2011 census was 3,465. It is situated 3 miles (5 km) west of Lincoln, 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Saxilby, 6 miles (10 km) northwest of North Hykeham and 15 miles (24 km) east of Tuxford. The village of Doddington and Doddington Hall lie 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south-west. Birchwood estate, built in the 1970s on the site of RAF Skellingthorpe, is 1 mile to the south-east.

Jerusalem is a small ribbon development in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It conjoined to the south of Skellingthorpe, and is part of Skellingthorpe civil parish. One of the earliest references to Jerusalem was found in documents dating back to 1436. Simon Sebag Montefiore states that the village dates back to this period, when 'pilgrimage to Jerusalem' was "wildly popular" but travelling to the city of Jerusalem was either not a practical proposition or it was too hostile a location.

Birchwood is a district and suburb of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. The district population in the 2021 Census was 8,932. It is located midway between Skellingthorpe and Boultham. Birchwood and Doddington Park are built on the site of the Second World War airfield RAF Skellingthorpe which had hosted No. 50 Squadron and No. 61 Squadron.

Royal Air Force Skellingthorpe or more simply RAF Skellingthorpe is a former Royal Air Force station which was operational during the Second World War. It was located just west of the city of Lincoln, England about 2.5 miles (4 km) south-east of the village of Skellingthorpe on a field previously called Black Moor. After its closure the site was developed as the Birchwood estate.

Skellingthorpe (Great Northern Railway) railway station was one of two stations serving the village of Skellingthorpe in Lincolnshire, England. It was a short-lived station between Lincoln and Doncaster. It opened in 1865 and closed in 1868 and was replaced by the later station on the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in the centre of the village, while this earlier station was at the end of Ferry Lane, around a mile northeast of the village. Today, the lines through the site are still in use but the platforms are long gone.

The Lincoln Western Growth Corridor is an ongoing-major development in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. It is being built at the junction of Birchwood Avenue and Skellingthorpe Road, close to the A46 road, Birchwood and Skellingthorpe. Work is still ongoing to build the major development in phases.

Hartsholme Country Park lies about 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the city centre of Lincoln in the East Midlands of England. Access is from the Skellingthorpe Road (B1378). Hartsholme Country Park covers more than 200 acres (80 ha) and was designated in 1974 and opened in 1979. It contains a camping area for tents, caravans and motor caravans. It is Grade II listed.The Park centres on lakes and ornamental grounds originally the work of Edward Milnerin 1862, landscaping the area around a reservoir of 1848. They were built along with a home, Hartsholme Hall, which was demolished in 1951, around the time the grounds became a public park.In July 2012 the White Bridge was closed, and the deck removed in September, for safety reasons. This was a footbridge built in 1962, on the pylons of the earlier 1902 bridge. Closure interrupts a public right-of-way across the lake. A replacement bridge using the original 1902 supports reopened on 7 March 2014.Hartsholme Park has often been awarded a Green Flag Award, including in 2011 and 2013. These are awarded annually by the charity Keep Britain Tidy.The park opened to the public in 1978

Ashby Avenue is a football stadium in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. It is the home ground of Lincoln United of the Northern Premier South east division. Since July 2009, Lincoln United Ladies also play their home games at Ashby Avenue. The stadium is located in the Hartsholme area of the city, backing onto Hartsholme Country Park. It has a total capacity of 2,200, with a seated Main Stand which holds around 250. In August 2012 Lincoln United sold the Stadium naming rights to NTR Solutions, a telecommunications firm, for a reported five–figure fee.

Pyewipe Junction engine shed was a motive power depot operated by the Great Eastern Railway (GER) located in Lincolnshire, England.The depot was one of the GER's outposts and was located on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway (GNGEJR) a few miles west of Lincoln railway station. This map of Lincoln's railways shows Pyewipe Junction in the top left hand corner. It is also the junction for the "avoiding line" towards Newark and Nottingham, which in 2013 is still generally used by freight services or trains diverted by engineering works on the East Coast Main Line which do not call at Lincoln station.

Hykeham railway station serves both the town of North Hykeham and Lincoln city suburbs of Birchwood and Boultham Moor in Lincolnshire, England. The station is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Central Line, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway, which provide all the services.
