Church of Our Saviour, Brookline

The Muddy River is a series of brooks and ponds that runs through sections of Boston's Emerald Necklace, including along the south boundary of Brookline, Massachusetts (a town that went by the name of Muddy River Hamlet before it was incorporated in 1705). The river, which is narrower than most waterways designated as rivers in the United States, is a protected public recreation area surrounded by parks and hiking trails, managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The river flows from Jamaica Pond through Olmsted Park's Wards Pond, Willow Pond, and Leverett Pond. It then flows through a conduit under Route 9 and into a narrow park called the Riverway, from which it flows through three culverts: the Riverway Culvert, the Brookline Avenue Culvert, and the Avenue Louis Pasteur Culvert. The Muddy River continues from the Fens toward its connection with the Charles River via the Charlesgate area, running through a stone-paved channel surrounded by a narrow strip of parklands. In a series of stone bridges and tunnels, it passes under Boylston Street, Massachusetts Turnpike, Commonwealth Avenue, Storrow Drive, and a series of elevated connecting ramps (the Bowker Overpass).

Longwood station is a light rail station on the MBTA Green Line D branch, located on Chapel Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, on the border with Boston, just north of Longwood Avenue. It serves the Longwood Medical Area, the Colleges of the Fenway, and residential areas of Brookline. The station opened with the rest of the line on July 4, 1959. After renovation work completed in 2009, Longwood station is accessible from both Chapel Street and Riverway Park.

Hawes Street station is a light rail surface stop on the MBTA Green Line C branch, located in the median of Beacon Street west of Hawes Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. The station consists of two side platforms which serve the C branch's two tracks. With 339 boardings on an average weekday in 2011, Hawes Street has the lowest ridership on the C branch and fourth-lowest on the entire Green Line.Track work in 2018–19, which included replacement of platform edges at several stops, triggered requirements for accessibility modifications at those stops. Design work for Hawes Street and seven other C Branch stations was 15% complete by December 2022. As of June 2023, construction is expected to take place during 2024.

The Longwood Historic District is roughly bounded by Chapel, St. Marys, Monmouth, and Kent Sts. in Brookline, Massachusetts. The area was developed in the mid-19th century by David Sears and Amos Adams Lawrence as a fashionable residential area, and retains a number of architecturally distinguished buildings, including the Longwood Towers complex at 20 Chapel Street, Christ's Church Longwood, and Church of Our Saviour, Brookline. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1978.

St. Mary's Street station is a surface light rail stop on the MBTA Green Line C branch, located just west of the intersection of Beacon Street and Park Drive in the northeastern tip of Brookline, Massachusetts. Like all surface stops on the line, St Mary's Street has two side platforms serving two tracks. The station is accessible. With just over 1,500 daily boardings by a 2011 count, St. Mary's Street is the second-busiest stop on the C branch, behind only Coolidge Corner.

Wheelock College was a private college in Boston, Massachusetts, United States from 1888 to 2018. The college was founded in 1888 as the Miss Wheelock's Kindergarten Training School and was merged into Boston University as part of the university's Wheelock College of Education and Human Development in 2018. Founded in 1888 by Lucy Wheelock as the Miss Wheelock's Kindergarten Training School, it offered undergraduate and graduate programs that focused on the Arts & Sciences, Education and Child Life, and Social Work and Family Studies to improve the lives of children and families. The college's academic programs merged with Boston University School of Education on June 1, 2018, and were incorporated as Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. The physical campus of Wheelock College is now named the Boston University Fenway Campus, which includes a dining hall, student housing, and the Wheelock Family Theatre.Wheelock was a member of the Colleges of the Fenway and the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts and accredited by: New England Association of Schools and Colleges National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education Council on Social Work EducationThe Wheelock Wildcats competed in the NCAA Division III in the New England Collegiate Conference. The college offered five varsity men's teams and six varsity women's teams, as well as intramural teams through the Colleges of the Fenway. The Winsor School is a 5–12 private, college-preparatory day school for girls in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It was established in 1886. It competes in the Eastern Independent League and is featured on the Boston Women's Heritage Trail.

Kent Street station is a light rail surface stop on the MBTA Green Line C branch, located in the median of Beacon Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. The two side platforms are staggered on opposite sides of the Kent Street / Powell Street grade crossing; the outbound platform is to the east and the inbound platform to the west. Kent Street is not accessible. Track work in 2018–19, which included replacement of platform edges at several stops, triggered requirements for accessibility modifications at those stops. Fenway station is a light rail stop on the MBTA Green Line D branch, located under Park Drive near the Riverway in the Fenway–Kenmore neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It opened along with the rest of the D branch on July 4, 1959, when trolleys replaced Highland branch commuter rail service. The station is fully accessible from Park Drive via the Landmark Center parking lot, as well as from Miner Street. Named after the Fenway parkway rather than Fenway Park, it is further from the stadium than Kenmore, though still used during events.

It is located in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The Cottage Farm Historic District is a residential area in eastern Brookline, Massachusetts, known for its association with industrialist Amos Adams Lawrence (1814–1886). Laid out in the 1850s and centered around the junction of Essex and Ivy Streets, it features high-quality housing on large lots, built between the 1850s and 1910s. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
