The Institute of Mental Health (Abbreviation: IMH), formerly known as Woodbridge Hospital, is a psychiatric hospital in Hougang, Singapore. It is located on a 25-hectare campus at Buangkok Green Medical Park in the north-east of Singapore. IMH is Singapore's only tertiary psychiatric hospital and offers psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services to children, youth, adults and the elderly. It is a modern hospital, with 50 wards and 2010 beds for inpatients and seven specialist clinics for outpatients. IMH provides hospital-based services, runs satellite clinics at different locations in Singapore, and spearheads mental healthcare programmes in the community.

Buangkok is a neighbourhood located in north eastern Singapore. Whilst its boundaries are vague, the neighbourhood is roughly spread across the Trafalgar and Compassvale subzones of the Hougang and Sengkang Planning Areas respectively, as designated by the URA.

Hougang Secondary School (abbreviation: HGSS) is a co-educational secondary school in Hougang, in northern Singapore. The school opened on 2 January 2001 at 58 Lowland Road and relocated to its permanent site at 2 Hougang Street 93 on 20 December 2001.

Pei Hwa Secondary School (PHSS) (Chinese: 培华中学; pinyin: Péihuá Zhōngxué) is a co-educational government-aided secondary school in Fernvale Link, Singapore within walking distance of Fernvale and Layar LRT stations. Re-established in 2005, Pei Hwa Secondary School was first founded in 1934 as Pei Hwa Public School.

The Seletar Mall (Chinese: 利达广场) is a suburban shopping mall located in Fernvale, Singapore, next to Fernvale LRT station. Construction of the mall started in late 2012 and it officially opened on 28 November 2014.

Sengkang Depot is a train depot in Sengkang, Singapore operated by SBS Transit. It is the first co-location of facilities for both the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT). It maintains the trains for the North East line, Sengkang LRT line, and Punggol LRT line, and houses the control centre of the three lines.The depot was designed by architects 61 and constructed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. at a contract sum of S$350 million under contract C701. It is the first in Singapore to be built with structural provisions for an industrial development to be situated on top, to minimise the waste of scare land resources. The MRT depot is located between Hougang station and Sengkang station on the North East line and has three reception tracks: Two northbound tracks towards Sengkang station and one southbound track towards Hougang station. The LRT depot is located between Layar station and Tongkang station on the Sengkang LRT line. It has two reception tracks: One eastward track towards Tongkang station and one westward track towards Layar station.

Fernvale is a neighbourhood of Sengkang New Town in Singapore. It is located between Sungei Punggol and the proposed Sengkang West Industrial Estate. The house numbers of the public apartment blocks in Fernvale begin with the number '4' (4xx). Fernvale is the newest neighbourhood in Sengkang Town to be completed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB). Seletar Mall, a new shopping amenity which houses Sengkang's first cineplex, is located within this neighbourhood. In 2017, A proposed community facility to be located next to Seletar Mall was announced, which houses a community club, childcare centre, hawker centre and wet market. The community facility which was slated to be ready by the second half of 2020, had stopped construction in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 measures set by the government. Construction of the facility has since continued in the second half of 2020 and is slated to be completed by Q4 2021.

Bright Vision Hospital (BVH) is a 318-bedded public community hospital at 5 Lorong Napiri, Singapore 547530, off Yio Chu Kang Road, in Hougang, Singapore. It was founded by Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services in 2001, who gave ownership of the hospital to SingHealth in 2011 owing to management challenges.

Nan Chiau High School (NCHS) (traditional Chinese: 南僑中學; simplified Chinese: 南侨中学; pinyin: Nánqiáo Zhōngxué; Wade–Giles: Nan2Ch'iao2 Chung1hsüeh2) is a co-educational government-aided institution in Sengkang, Singapore affiliated to the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan. It offers the four-year Express (Special) course for secondary education.Founded in 1947, the institution operates under the Special Assistance Plan (SAP), with the mission to nurture bilingual and bi-cultural scholars who are highly knowledgeable in the Chinese language and culture. Affirmed as the North Zone Centre of Excellence for Chinese Language, the institution is known for its strong Chinese foundation in terms of teaching of the language and promulgation of the heritage and culture, which are not confined to the classrooms.To date, Nan Chiau High has nurtured three President's Scholars, and is currently one of Singapore's leading schools for Infocomm Technology. It is also one of the joint organisers of the National Secondary School Chinese Creative Writing Competition.

Armenian Street Char Kway Teow is a street food stall in Anchorvale Block 303 in Anchorvale, Singapore. The food stall was originally located at the corner of Armenian Street and Loke Yew Street, and later relocated along Anchorvale Link. Two more outlets were established in 2013 and 2014.
