The Saxonville Historic District of Framingham, Massachusetts, encompasses a historic 19th century mill village at the heart of Saxonville. The district is centered on the mill complex at the junction of Water, Central, Elm, and Concord Streets, radiating north on Elm Street and west on Water Street. The extant mill brick and concrete buildings were built after fires destroyed older mill buildings in the 1880s by the Roxbury Carpet Company, whose owner, Michael Simpson, had successfully orchestrated the commercial production of carpets in a single facility. The district includes mill worker housing, some of which dates to the 1820s, as well as private residential development from the period, and a cluster of commercial and civic buildings adjacent to the mill complex.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Lake Cochituate Dam is a historic dam on the southwestern side of Lake Cochituate in Framingham, Massachusetts. The 62-foot (19 m) dam was built in 1890, replacing two earlier wooden dams, dating back to the 1846 construction of the Cochituate Aqueduct. The core of the dam is granite rubble laid in concrete. Lake Cochituate was taken out of service as part of Boston's public water supply in the 1930s, and the lake and dam were eventually turned over to the state, which established Cochituate State Park.The dam was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Framingham High School, or FHS, is an urban/suburban public high school in the city of Framingham, Massachusetts, United States, located approximately 20 mi (32 km) west of Boston. Founded in 1792, as Framingham Academy, the high school is the result of the merger of Framingham North and Framingham South High Schools in 1991. Like most high schools in the United States, it enrolls students in the ninth to twelfth grades. The school has an approximate enrollment of 2000 students, making it the twelfth largest high school in Massachusetts. Framingham High School has a racially, ethnically, economically, and linguistically diverse population (20 percent of its students are considered low-income and 30 percent have a language other than English as their first language). The school is classified as an urban high school by the state of Massachusetts.Framingham High School has received numerous awards for being a successful urban school, including a designation as a Commonwealth Compass School by the state of Massachusetts and as a Vanguard Model School by MassInsight.The Framingham High School Flyers compete in the Bay State League-Carey Division of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's Division I and their mascot is the Flyer.

The Hultman Aqueduct forms part of the water supply system of eastern Massachusetts, managed by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). The aqueduct extends from Southborough to Weston, connecting the Cosgrove Tunnel to the distribution network in the Greater Boston area. Opened in 1939, it replaced the Weston Aqueduct. It is now itself a secondary system, having been supplanted as the primary conduit in 2003 by the MetroWest Water Supply Tunnel. From 2009 to 2014, it was rehabilitated and taken offline, in order to repair leaks which were causing losses of at least 400,000 US gallons (1,500,000 L) of water per day in the 1990s.The aqueduct is a pressurized pipe system, consisting of 9,700 feet (3,000 m) of steel-reinforced pipe at its western end, 3 miles (4.8 km) of bored tunnel under the Sudbury Reservoir, and 13 miles (21 km) of steel-reinforced concrete pipe to the Norumbega Reservoir, which acts as a pressure regulation facility. Its western end is an intake, with semicircular diversion dam, on the open channel of the Wachusett Aqueduct in Southborough, near the later-constructed John J. Carroll Water Treatment Plant. Above-ground features of the aqueduct include the intake structure and diversion dam, a headhouse for a shaft at the Sudbury Reservoir (in what is now the Sudbury Dam Historic District), and the gatehouse and dams of the Norumbega Reservoir.

Shopper's World is an open-air shopping center in Framingham, Massachusetts. The original facility (spelled Shoppers' World) is of historical significance as one of the first suburban shopping malls in the United States upon opening in 1951; it was demolished and replaced by the current open-air facility in 1994. The retail park, with the adjacent Natick Mall in Natick, are major components of the Golden Triangle shopping district in the center of MetroWest, situated between Route 9 and Route 30.

The Golden Triangle is one of the largest retail districts in New England and is located on the borders of Framingham and Natick, Massachusetts, in the heart of the MetroWest region of the state. The district is anchored by the two malls in the area, Shopper's World and the Natick Mall. The 3 sq mi (7.8 km2) area is the second largest shopping district in Massachusetts outside of Downtown Crossing in Boston.

Lake Cochituate is a body of water in Natick, Wayland, and Framingham, Massachusetts, United States. Originally a reservoir serving Boston, it no longer serves that function, and is now a local recreational resource and home to Cochituate State Park.

The Natick Mall (previously named the Natick Collection) is a shopping mall in Natick, Massachusetts. The original facility was the first enclosed shopping mall in Greater Boston upon opening in 1966; it was demolished and replaced by a larger building in 1994 and expanded in 2007. The mall, with the adjacent Shopper's World power center in Framingham, are components of the Golden Triangle shopping district in the center of MetroWest, situated between Route 9 and Route 30. With 1,695,884 square feet (157,553 m2) of gross leasable area, it is the largest shopping complex in New England. It is owned and managed by Brookfield Properties, a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management. The Natick Mall is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's. Previous anchors include department stores Filene's, JCPenney, Jordan Marsh, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Sears, and grocery store Wegmans.

Cochituate State Park is a Massachusetts day-use state park located on Lake Cochituate in the town of Natick. The park is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Stone's Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge in Framingham and Wayland, Massachusetts. It is located just north of Stonebridge Road, and partially crosses the Sudbury River. Built in 1858, it is a well-preserved example of mid-19th century stone bridge construction, despite its truncation in 1955 due to a shift in the river channel. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is closed to all access.

The Weston Aqueduct is an aqueduct operated by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). Now part of the MWRA backup systems, it was designed to deliver water from the Sudbury Reservoir in Framingham to the Weston Reservoir in Weston. The 13.5-mile (21.7 km) aqueduct begins at the Sudbury Dam, and passes through the towns of Southborough, Framingham, Wayland, and Weston. In 1990, the route, buildings and bridges of the aqueduct were added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Weston Aqueduct Linear District.

Camp Framingham is a former Massachusetts National Guard camp that existed in 1873 to 1944 in Framingham, Massachusetts, also called Camp Dalton or Fort Dalton until 1898. The camp was used by all units of the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia as their summer training ground. The camp also contained a state arsenal where weapons and equipment was stored and issued to units. Fort Dalton was a training battery from 1883 to 1898, 138 feet (42 m) long with two 10 in (254 mm) Rodman guns and four siege mortars. Camp Framingham was used as a mobilization station during the Spanish–American War, in June 1916 during the Mexican border call-up and in the summer of 1917 during World War I. Other names for the camp in the Spanish–American War were Camp McGuinness and Camp Dewey. From May 1942 to December 1943, Headquarters, 181st Infantry Regiment was stationed with its companies serving on coast patrol duty for the Eastern Defense Command in New England. In 1948, Camp Framingham was transferred from the Military Division to the Massachusetts State Police. Today, the Massachusetts State Police and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency utilize portions of the former camp.Musterfield Airport was located on the south end of the grounds, although it was not a military facility.
