The Ohio Union serves as a student activity center for students of The Ohio State University. When the Union was established in 1910, it was the first student union at a public university. The Ohio Union provides facilities for student activities, organizations/events, and campus and community interaction. Many student services and programs are housed in the union, along with dining and recreational facilities. On March 29, 2010, the current Ohio Union was opened to the public, replacing three previous unions.

The Center for Interdisciplinary Law and Policy Studies (CILPS) at the Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law is committed to the promotion of interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public outreach designed to shed light on the nature and operation of law and legal institutions, as well as the impacts of law on society and culture. Director: Katherine Hunt Federle, the Joseph S. Platt/Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur Professor of Law at The Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law.

The Michael E. Moritz College of Law is the law school of Ohio State University, a public land-grant research university in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1891, the school is located in Drinko Hall on the main campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus. The school is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and is a charter member of the Association of American Law Schools. According to the college's official 2022 ABA-required disclosures, 84% of the Class of 2022 obtained full-time, long-term, and bar passage-required employment nine months after graduation, excluding solo-practitioners. This ranked Moritz 1st in Ohio for job placement of recent law graduates.

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is a research library of American cartoons and comic art affiliated with the Ohio State University library system in Columbus, Ohio. Formerly known as the Cartoon Research Library and the Cartoon Library & Museum, it holds the world's largest and most comprehensive academic research facility documenting and displaying original and printed comic strips, editorial cartoons, and cartoon art. The museum is named after the Ohio cartoonist Billy Ireland.Covering comic books, daily strips, Sunday strips, editorial cartoons, graphic novels, magazine cartoons, and sports cartoons, the collection includes 450,000 original cartoons, 36,000 books, 51,000 serial titles, and 3,000 feet (910 m) of manuscript materials, plus 2.5 million comic strip clippings and tear sheets.

The John Glenn College of Public Affairs is a public policy and management school at Ohio State University. The Glenn College offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in public affairs. The Glenn College provides research, training and technical assistance to state, public and nonprofit organizations. The college is named after United States Senator and astronaut John Glenn. On January 30, 2015, the Ohio State University Board of Trustees approved a change of status of the former John Glenn School of Public Affairs making the new John Glenn College of Public Affairs the 15th college at The Ohio State University.

The Wexner Center for the Arts is the Ohio State University's "multidisciplinary, international laboratory for the exploration and advancement of contemporary art." The Wexner Center is a lab and public gallery, but not an art museum, as it does not collect art. However, when the center was constructed, it replaced the University Gallery of Fine Arts, and assumed possession and stewardship of the University Gallery's permanent collection of roughly 3,000 art works. The collection serves a secondary role in the center's programs in the visual, media and performing arts. The Wexner Center is made available to Ohio State University students and scholars for study, and is open to the public. The Wexner Center opened in November 1989, named in honor of the father of Limited Brands founder Leslie Wexner, who was a major donor to the center.

The Armory and Gymnasium was a campus building of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The building was designed by prominent Ohio architects Yost & Packard and built in 1898. The multipurpose facility had a gymnasium, canvas running track, seats for 750, two swimming pools, and a cannon room. The building was home to Ohio State's men's basketball team. In 1918, the U.S. Army took over the building and used it for troop housing during World War I. The building stood through a fire in 1935. Another fire devastated the building in 1958, damaging it beyond repair. The building was demolished in 1959. The Wexner Center for the Arts opened on the site in 1989, with architecture inspired by the 1898 building.

Brian Randall Shaffer (born February 25, 1979) is an American medical student at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. On the night of March 31, 2006, Shaffer went out with friends to celebrate the beginning of spring break; later he was separated from them and they assumed he had gone home. However, a security camera near the entrance to a Columbus bar recorded him briefly talking to two women just before 2 a.m., April 1, and then apparently re-entering the bar without any evidence of him leaving the area. Shaffer has not been seen or heard from since. The case received national media attention.Shaffer's disappearance has been especially puzzling to investigators since there was no other publicly accessible entrance or exit to the bar at that time. Columbus police have several theories about what happened; some interest and suspicion has been directed at a friend of Shaffer's who accompanied him that night, but has refused to take polygraph tests regarding the incident. While foul play has been suspected, including the possible involvement of the purported Smiley Face serial killer, it has also been speculated that he might be alive and living somewhere else under a new identity.

Summit on 16th United Methodist Church is a former church in Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1954, originally for the Wesley Foundation of the Ohio State University. In 1977, the foundation merged with the Indianola United Methodist Church and University United Methodist Church to form the Summit United Methodist Church. The building was listed on Columbus Landmarks' 2023 Most Endangered Sites list, as plans were released to demolish the church and replace it with a seven-story apartment building.In 1983, mid-century architect Edward Sövik redesigned the building's multi-purpose room to create a worship space for the congregation.

Hale Hall is a historic building of the Ohio State University main campus in Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1909–1911 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The building was formerly the Ohio Union, and had numerous other names through its history. It was the fourth student union building built in the U.S., and the first at a state university in the country. It is only one of four buildings on campus on the National Register; the others are the Ohio Stadium and Hayes and Orton Halls.The building was designed by George S. Mills and built from 1909 to 1911. Although built as a student union, the building was replaced by Building 058, completed in 1951. The old building was then remodeled for student services, completed by 1953. The student health service moved out in 1969, and most of the remaining student services had moved by 1976. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, despite opposition from the university's executives.From 1989 to 2020, the building or its predecessor served as the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center, a student center and gathering space for Black students at the college. It was named for the former vice provost for Diversity and Inclusion and professor emeritus at Ohio State, who spent years creating opportunities for students of color while creating safe spaces for these students. The students had fought for their own space, resulting in the center's establishment. The center lost its space in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and the building was converted for classroom use. Black student groups are working to have the space return to acting as a cultural center.

Graham Elementary and Middle School (formerly Graham Expeditionary Middle School and Graham Primary School) is a public K-8 charter school in Columbus, Ohio. It was originally the Indianola Junior High School, the first junior high school in the United States. The building was owned by the Columbus City Schools, though it became operated by the Graham Family of Schools, and was sold to the organization in 2017. 2009 was the middle school's centennial year. Shortly thereafter, the school board closed that building for the 2010 school year and merged the school with the former Indianola Alternative School (see below).
